If I wanted to play this game on the highest settings in WvW and maintain 60+ fps in the largest zerg battles @ just 1080p, what system would I need? Is it even possible?

Any interest in sPvP oriented streams?

@Thirsty, I definitely feel the same way about it at the moment, but I decided to just give it a shot.

@Happy Elementalist, thanks for those points. They will be duly noted.

Any interest in sPvP oriented streams?

How’s it going guys? In a little less than a month, I plan to start streaming sPvP and tPvP. I feel like more exposure and viewership of Guild Wars 2 would be great to grow our community. Right now there are very few people who watch GW2 streams at all. I know this will be difficult because there are many who have already lost interest in the game, so I’ve come to get you guy’s opinions on a few things.
First, let me say that I am by no means a top player or anything. I wouldn’t even call myself good because I just don’t feel comfortable doing so. I play mostly a bunker Guardian and a S/D Elementalist, and I am only rank 26. Nevertheless, let’s get down to it.

1. Would you prefer: 1920×1080 @ 30fps or 1280×720 @ 60fps?
2. Are there certain classes that you would rather see played more than others?
3. What are some things that you have seen on streams that you extremely dislike and would make you not want to watch?
4. Lastly, if there is any other input or advice you would like to give, it would be greatly appreciated.

I am still testing different things and getting overlays and things like that together as well as upgrading my internet before I start promoting the stream. I will post back in these forums when it gets closer to being ready. Thank you for your time!

In Defense of Arena Net

Everyday when I log onto the forums, I see nothing but negativity. “Arena net hasn’t done or addressed this”, “Why is it taking so long for Arena Net to implement that”. Are there legitimate concerns about the game in it’s current state? Most certainly. However, what does not make sense to me is how abrasive the sPvP community has been since the launch of the game. Have we all forgotten that the game hasn’t even been out two months yet? With that being said, I would like you all to hear me out, and consider these 3 things.

1) Patience. Where is the patience? Arena Net has stated several times that a lot of the features that we want in the game are being worked on right now. For example, what about all the people who are kicking and screaming for balance changes? You don’t think I rage at my computer when I see a thief hit me with backstab for 10k+, or when I see a mesmer (godclass) pop phantasms and walk away laughing at me mercilessly. Of course I am exaggerating a bit, but all I am saying is that the concerns that people have are real, and Arena Net knows this. After all, How could they not know? This forum explodes daily with our concerns about the game.

2) sPvP is only one part of the game. We can not so easily forget this because it is important with regards to how fast Arena Net can address specific problems and implement new things. I, possibly just like many of you, only play sPvP and nothing else for the most part. However, this does not stop the fact that Arena Net’s attention is divided, and we(active forum users here in the lovely sPvP section) do not make up 100% of the community.

3) Balance. Arena Net can’t just take the “Nerf Bat” to any given profession, which is what most people are calling for. They have to make small changes and see how they affect the game overtime. As the devs have said before, it is the combination of specific skills, runes, amulets, etc…, that can make a profession seem “OP”. I am sure that we can all agree that balancing the PvP aspect of any mmo is quite difficult especially in it’s early stages. This is because players are consistently coming up with new builds and new ways to abuse those builds.

So on that note, I would just like to ask everyone to relax. If you really love this game, If you really want to see Guild Wars 2 thrive as an e-sport, and If you want to see all these cool new features be implemented into the game, just have a bit of patience instead of threatening to quit the game every time it takes you longer than 5 seconds to kill a Guardian.

That is all.

Was my name offensive?

First off I am not trolling or anything. I was just forced to change my name a couple of minutes ago, and I am curious as to why. The name was Poorblackman. I am black, and I am a broke college student, so I find it offensive that my name was banned.

There isn't an overpowered class, just underpowered players.

Because of the versatility of different builds, you can’t say that any one class is “OP” in it’s entirety. There will always be several factors(runes, sigils, trait allocation, etc.) that makes a profession seem overpowered. I have played the guardian(mostly a bunker build) quite a bit, and I am consistently humbled by people who play against me correctly. In my opinion, you should always be making slight adjustments to your build on the fly if you notice something isn’t working, so I completely agree with the OP here. I am not saying that the game is in a perfect place balance wise, but many of the issues people have with classes like thieves, mesmers, and guardians can all be mended by simply playing better and not wasting time charging towards the forums in a mob with pitchforks in hand to whine about balance.
