This seemed to work on Windows 8.1 (latest updates): disabling “Automatically detect settings” in the Network > Proxy control panel.

Not sure if this was just coincidence, or something else was fixed. Perhaps the new launcher is more sensitive to network issues / crappy proxy detection? I had previously tried basically everything everybody else had in this thread (repair, run as admin, disable firewall/av, uninstall/attempt to reinstall).

It’s a simple setting to test out, so it might be worth a shot.

YMMV.

This worked for me on windows 8.1 as well. My clients wasn’t crashing but was freezing when trying to update every time I tired to open it. This though seem to fix the freezing and I was able to log in. Thank you so much Dirril.7042

Issues with the trading post: please post here [MERGED]

For a few days now (3, i think), I’ve been having issues with the trading post. Mainly, the “Buy items”, “Sell items” and “My transactions” tab. “Gem store” and “Currency exchange” work fine.

The “Trading post” tab doesn’t load completely (doesn’t show the “Top valued/demanded etc.” collumns), clicking on “Show filters” doesn’t do anything and even when I type something in “search items”, the “Search” option doesn’t become highlighted.

The “Sell items” tab doesn’t show any items in my inventory, typing in “Search inventory” does nothing and clicking on “Sort by…” doesn’t do anything.

“My transactions” tab doesn’t load completely and clicking on the “Search” tab at the top does nothing.
I’ve asked in my guild and it appears I’m the only one having this issue with the TP…

I was having the same problem as you for about 4 day untill I realised it wasnt going to fix it self. Went looking around for a answer and found this:
Close your game completely.
Browse your My Computer to: C:\Users\YourComputerUserName
Then in the window menus, click on “Tools” then “Folder Options…”
In the window that pops up, click the “View” tab
Select to “Show hidden files, folders and drives” and click ‘OK’ (attached image)
You should now see a folder in your file listing called “AppData”, open this folder
Inside that folder open the “Local” folder
Inside that folder open the “Temp” folder
You should now see a folder called “gw2cache-{1501A8C1-6AA1-1601-C2A8-0115A16A0116}” or something similar. Delete this gw2cache folder.
Load up your game normally and see if the issue is fixed.

That fixed it for me and i can now use the TP again. I hope this help anyone with the same problem!
