I feel like it’s only in the game to prevent bots from spamming the trading post, that’s a valid reason to keep it however I believe this needs to be expanded as it turns a task that in other games normally takes a few minutes into a task that takes twice as long (10+ minutes) while trying to sell multiple items after a day of playing.

My suggestion is to implement a sell queue, a player would add items to this queue that would be automatically listed to the trading post at a rate decided by you (ArenaNet). Fights bots, legitimate players wouldn’t keep getting hit by what I assume is anti-bot code and everyone is happy.

Thanks!

I have some more questions. What is your preferred content? (PvE, PvP, WvW) What timezone are you in? (canada is a big place :P) What guild size do you prefer (small? Large?) What type of guild do you prefer? (Casual/hardcore) and what are your normal playtimes?

I sent you a PM i would love to chat with you a bit

1. I play PvE, PvP and WvW as I feel like it. I typically play PvE in Guild Wars 2 and experiment with the other two options as I please.

2. Eastern Time Zone (UTC?5:00)

3. Don’t care.

4. I’m my own play style, I play casually in the sense that I play when I feel like it (and don’t force myself to play) but when I play I play to win / be the best.

5. I feel like #4 answered this, I play when I feel like it for as long as I feel like it. Between walking my dog(s) and searching for Jobs I don’t have a lot of times when I’m unable to play.

Welcome to my topic!

Age: 23
Gender: Male
Country: Canada
In-Game: Annihilation, Exstinctio, WildFire or WildFire.8756

Guild Wars Experience: I was a member of the guild BoDC (Bookah’s of Devastating Carnage) in Guild Wars 1 which was a guild that merged with LaZy and then broke back off due to disagreements with the leadership. After this I eventually wound up in Unknown Phenomenon (Top 25 – GvG Guild) as a Recruitment Officer / Alliance Officer and was responsible for getting them into numerous larger alliances only for the GvG Leadership to destroy the relationships I had created due to their elitist attitudes.

After a while I accepted an invite from a friend who was a substitute for Rebel Rising into Rebel Risings sister guild “Rebel Rising and Friends” where I stayed for the rest of my Guild Wars 1 career.

Within Guild Wars 2 I have been a part of Team Paradigm (before GW2 Launched) as a moderator but left after certain decisions were made that I did not agree with (such as making me a Moderator after 1 day of being registered). I wound up with Team Legacy who denied my application after being in a trial phase for over a month because they thought I was “a spy for Team Paradigm”, since then I haven’t been in any guilds and have sat alone in my own personal guild – ‘Endemic Warfare’ which is a recreation of my HA Guild from GW1.

About Me
I have been a gamer for many years, I have searched for a home in each and every game I play but have never found my fit. One time I came close but after 8 years we all sort of went out own ways and haven’t kept in active contact. I have a number of personality traits that I feel would be beneficial for ANY guild and these are.

Devotion: I am unbelievably devoted to the communities I join, in the past 13 years I have been a member of a number of communities however the ones I truly enjoy I have stuck with for years.

Trust: I am extremely trustworthy both in games and real life, while this trust is non-existent at first I eventually build this up to a point where I commonly reach a position of power and stay there however my goal is never to seek power, only to enjoy myself.

Respect: I respect individuals of all races, genders, religions or sexuality’s. Because of this I interact with a number of unique individuals who have otherwise been shunned by online / offline societies.

Experience Due to the amount of Video Games I play I have achieved a certain level of experience that makes me a competent player in all games. I have played games as a competitive player, casual player and also as a theorycrafter. I’m also extremely aware of my play-style and typically build towards strengthening my aggressive behaviors into constructive and helpful gameplay.

That is what I feel makes me a good member for any community.

Currently Playing
- Guild Wars 2 (PvE, PvP, WvW, Dungeons, Leveling, Achievements)
- League of Legends (ARAM, 3v3 and the occasional ranked game @ Silver II)
- Firefall
- Path of Exile

Besides these four I occasionally play every other popular (or unpopular) game as I please, I do not enjoy being tied down to one single game but when I enjoy something I spend tens of thousands of hours in it trying to master my abilities in that game.

Note: I lack a decent microphone so if voice activity is a requirement I may be unwilling to interact with people at first due to that reason. The issue is that the microphone I use is part of a second headset that is extremely uncomfortable so I put it around my neck while playing.

Disable reflections and Shadows, problem solved.

HD6850, FX6300 (4.5GHz) and 8GB of RAM and I get constant 60 FPS (80 in a lot of places) in the open world and 30+ in WvW with everything set to the highest values with the exception of Reflections and Shadows (which is on Low).

And now all of the disconnect errors have stopped as of 7:31 my time (less than a minute from this response being made). This is clearly an issue with Guild Wars 2, it’s unbelievably aggravating to be losing hard earned silver as a result of issues caused by ArenaNet and their servers.

This occurred for two and a half hours, it fixed itself, I have done everything from resetting my Modem, Router PC, Guild Wars 2, adding /clientport 80, opening all ports, connecting directly through the modem and none of these have an effect on the errors I receive.

Hmm, just to report that the Bazaar update seems to have cured this, for me. Whether deliberate or accidental or whatever, it’s great that I can play with my normal connection now.

Seems to have gotten worse since the Bazaar update for me.

I’m getting the following error codes while trying to move between towns or being kicked out of sPvP Matches.

Location: Canada
ISP: Cogeco Cable
Misc: /clientport 80 is in my target line and all of the ports for Guild Wars 2 are open (both options have no effect on the following issues).

10:5:11:2148:101 occurs whenever I try to get WP to Lions Arch, as a result I’m losing 2+ Silver per waypoint use.

7:11:3:191:101 occurs after the error above (10:5) when I attempt to reconnect, this error repeats itself during several relog attempts and prevents me from playing Guild Wars 2 anywhere from 1 minute to upward of a few hours.

21:6:3:2198 occurs after the above two errors when I attempt to log into Guild Wars 2, nothing has changed on my end and the error normally disappears after I attempt to log back in yet again.

As I the title states whenever I change zones with a waypoint I disconnect with an error (7:11) and as a result am sent back to the original location I teleport from with the gold deducted even though I wasn’t actually teleported to the waypoint due to the disconnect.

It happens every single time, I’ve wasted roughly 15 – 20s on failed waypoints in the past few days.

I don’t think you people realize that there isn’t 50 players for the other servers on, ever. We literally sit outside of their last base and wait for them to come out, eventually they get up 10 – 12 people and we rush up but they all run back into their keep.

It is difficult to see more than 15 unique players per day because the top guilds on the two opposing servers disbanded and went to other servers.

When your server is like this there isn’t really a method to get this easily, it’s a lot of standing around and waiting for the other teams to try and take a supply camp or actually leave their base.

I believe you should consider either removing the kills in WvW part of the monthly achievement or make it so that NPC’s from Supply Camps, Caravans, etc count towards the overall total so that servers like Blackgate don’t get screwed out of their monthly achievements now that they grant a large amount of Karma.

WildFire.8756

Are you people kidding? If there is a risk of being scammed, DON’T DO IT. There is a reason why they don’t want this in the game, the Trading Post is a Gold Sink that also stops ALL scamming from ever being an issue.

Use the trading post or take the risk, It’s not ArenaNet’s fault that you got yourself scammed – don’t trade through mail it’s that simple.

What is ArenaNet's stance on "Combat Mode" a GW2 Modification.

I would like to know Arenanet’s stance on this, it is a popular modification gaining notice around websites like R/GuildWars2.

Here is the Reddit Submission (quoted below with download links removed)

Toggle Combat Mode on and off with any key you choose. Combat Mode transforms Guild Wars 2 movement and targeting into that of a true action game. The cursor becomes a fixed crosshair (of your choice) at the center of the screen. Moving the mouse now turns your character and camera (as if the right button was held, like a 3rd person shooter). Left Click can now be assigned to any action. Auto Attack / Weapon slot 1 is a popular choice. Right Click becomes anything you want; Dodge? Weapon Swap? Whatever you choose.

Current Features:
*Crosshair, with crosshair targeting
*Completely eliminates Holding Right Click, and Tab targeting
*Very helpful for disabled and Carpel Tunnel / RSI inflicted gamers
*Left and Right Mouse Keys now perform actions (Such as Dodge, weapon Swap, Auto Attack, Profession Skill)
*Scroll Wheel also now performs actions (Such as Dodge, weapon Swap, Auto Attack, Profession Skill)
*Seamless intergration with GW2. Opening panels such as Inventory and Hero Panel will switch you out of Combat Mode
*Simple to install and customize, even easier to use in game
*Gathering Mode: Toggle gathering nodes names on and off (Insert key by default)

0.2 changes the way targeting is done from 0.1 and vanilla GW2 (more similar to Jayce’s original script). It takes a bit more getting used to, as there is no set target that we are used to in MMO’s. But after 20 minutes you will never want to go back to the old ways. Whenever you press a ranged ability that needs a target it will ALWAYS cast it on the mob under (or closest to) the players cross hair. There is no traditional targeting in this, whatever you face, you hit.
