First of all, I think it’s a shame that the mage classes in GW2 do not have an option for either purchasing in-game or crafting a Wizard’s type hat that has stat/armor capabilities. But even without the ability to obtain the special hat within the normal conventions of the game, I wish it was made generally more available other than being a periodic offering as part of the town clothes option which, of course, have no stats whatsoever. They are just for appearance.
My question now is whether or not a character can wear the hat while also wearing a “mask”, given that the mask is considered head gear. I hope that one can because I don’t want to give up the stat bonuses that come with the mask.
I don’t understand why Anet is so reluctant to introduce a wizard’kitten as part of a standard option for head gear and, perhaps, even making it a “tailorable” item for the mage type classes.
…just my two cents for what it’s worth…But, again, can anyone tell me if one can wear that hat while simultaneously wearing the facial mask (as opposed to the “hooded” type of head gear?)

Was wondering if there is an in-game command or option to sort of “hide” one’s guild affiliation and location for those times when I need some “personal space” or wish to play the game solo without others in my guild knowing that I’m online. Is there some way to sort of become “invisible” in the sense that no one has a way of determining if you are online and playing the game?
Ty, “Ok I Did It”.
I was hoping that the bonus files would automatically be downloaded, too, so that’s good news. But, fyi, the DVD install wouldn’t let me edit the location or change the drive or directory of the install.
When I insert the DVD to install the game, the client/installation file defaults to my C:/ drive which is a 64GB Solid State Drive that is nearly full that I purchased for booting up Windows 7 Professional as quickly as possible. I would like to install the game and files to another drive and I’m not sure how to accomplish it as I’m not asked where I’d like to install the game…very frustrating.
I did end up downloading the game files from the GW site (and registered a new account and also input the Serial Code given with the retail purchase), but what I’m not sure about is whether the special bonus files that come with the Heroic Edition on the DVD got downloaded as well. Therefore, I’m wondering if I will have to do the DVD install in order to get the bonus files. And if that is the case, I will need to install to a separate drive as I mentioned in the opening paragraph. (Btw, the downloaded version did allow me to designate a separate drive/folder for the installation.)
Can anyone help me with this? (I’m hoping that there’s a simple solution.)
