And this is even more impressive. Things actually looked cool once. And all they’d have to do would be the OPTIONAL setting that Colin promised us over a year ago. Before he left Anet.

I mean, I readily agree this is only good if you’re solo, but instead of actually fixing the underlying issue, they went with “just remove all the skill effects ~entirely”.

Correct solution:

• A set of new graphics fidelity optioins.
• Spell detail for: Me, Party, Squad, Others, Enemies.
• Possible values: Full, Simplified, Off
• Additional option to auto-scale, with a slider how many players need to be in combat around you to go from Full to Simplified even for those options where you selected Full. Example: I can set Me to Full, but the slider for auto-scale to 30. In a big zerg fight, even my spell detail is simplified.

What a great ideia.

Last time i had a product from NVidia i had to go back from actual 173.xx drivers
down to 164.xx to get rid of constant blue screens in Age of Conan.

And after all i read in forums over years that quite normal with their driver that
they bring out drivers that don’t work on some systems and then you can spend
days with testing different versions until you maybe find a stable one.

Or get an AMD card ^^

Change my graphic card is not an option since I play on a laptop. It doesn’t seem to be a physical problem, I am not getting a blue screen. The game just freezes and doesn`t load the maps, but it goes back to normal if I press crtl+alt+del. Again, this is a problem that I am only having with GW2, all the other games and programs are running great without problems at all.

Personally I have had a bad experience with upgrading Win7 to WinX. A fresh clean install sorted out all the issues I had. If I were you I would make sure that ALL drivers are updated for WinX e.g. soundcard, ethernet, wifi etc. Also use DDU to properly uninstall your GPU drivers and freshly install the latest ones for your graphics card. If you have an Nvidia GPU DO NOT install the latest Nvidia drivers as they seem to cause some issues. Try a previous driver version. If nothing works I would just proceed with a fresh clean install of WinX on your system.

I tried all of that. I updated and downgraded the drivers, installed all of these recommended drivers and also did a fresh clean install of Win10, but the problem persists. It doesn’t seem to be a problem related to the drivers, because I am only having this specific problem with gw2, while all the other games run fine.

Hi guys,

I just updated my Windows from 8.1 to 10 and now I am having this issue with the game. Every time I try to change map the game freezes at the end of the loading and I have to ctrl+alt+del to continue using the computer, then the game goes back to normal. I am having this issue with all the maps. Moving to another WP in the same map does not do that.

Here is what I already tried:
- To repair the game using the -repair command on shorcut;
- Updated all of my graphic drivers;
- I also tried to download the 64 bits BETA version and had the same issue;
