from what i just read its to help even out the economy of the game. well i think the economy is pretty even, pvp,wvw, and dungeons get precursors, they sell, crafter/gatherer buys, makes legendary and sells to pvp, wvw, and dungeon players i call that pretty even. i my self get enough pvp action when i go to wvw to get crest. this is a mmo not e-sport. forcing the pve players to do wvw was accepted, but pvp, i will never do it im not that type of player. Anet is beginning to forget about their pve players although were the ones whom truly support their in game economy. we also spend our hard earned cash on the game, expansion, gems, and gold just like the pvp players and wvw players so why are we being hung out to dry all the time by Anet, ive played gw since launch of gw1 and have really enjoyed it, im really upset that my time, money and endorsement of it to other people, whom buy it, is nothing to them. maybe its time for me to suport another company
PVE getting shafted all the time? Wait, what? All over having to PVP (optional if you buy the mats on the TP) for a legendary? I swear some people will get worked up over anything now days… sigh
Ever sit back and think about the PVP players having to do PVE for legendaries? There are a lot of people like myself who despise PVE, but are required to do it to craft a legendary.
/sarcasm Anet should remove the PVE portion of acquiring a legendary so they aren’t forcing me to play a part of the game I don’t like. \sarcasm

Had the same problem others had, xferred off early to avoid the 2 week penalty blah blah.
The best part was when seemingly at far treb got taken out by an AC master Arrow cart. The range and power of them are borderline OP to OP._. One could only imagine how 3 AC masters could defend a fortified tower. Would be hell for attacking team.
SoR needs to start forming Arrow Cart Asian Defense Teams when we’re heavily outmanned!

Precursors were 20-30 or even 50 gold in a time when gold wasn’t very flushed into the market. The more people play and the longer the game is alive, the value of gold is going to decrease. It’s simple economics. If people are leaving the game because they can’t obtain their legendary then they are missing the point of this game. It’s not about “getting my legendary”, which has the same stats as an exotic btw. They aren’t impossible to get and I feel like more and more people are trying to pull this “I’m entitled to a legendary since I spent hard earned money on this game” mentality. Not saying that you are, but alot of these threads are coming out of the woodwork saying the exact same thing. I saved gold for a long time and purchased my Dawn for 419g the other day and I still have alot more to go. (100 charged lodestones? This will cost 400g+ unless you farm them yourself). Precursors are the least of your worries. Trust me.
I’ve been saving gold as I can since launch and two days ago I finally purchased my precursor. Dawn for 419g. It’s not impossible. That being said I still have a long way to go to get my Legendary. Am I upset about it? No. Yes the grind is miserable and I’m sure most of you don’t like to do it. I’m doing it for the satisfaction. I feel like a lot of you are forgetting that most of these “Legendaries” don’t have super amazing stats. Since I own my precursor now I guess I can go ahead and tell you a secret as well. The precursor is the least of your worries. Trust me. You’ll have a lot more than just an exotic weapon to worry about if you want your legendary. And my opinion on it? I’m happy with the way it is, but wouldn’t mind a change either.
