Double melee weapons, no stability and i believe your sigils share cd.
How do you expect this to work in all the cripple/chill/ blind spam?
Are you sure to run without any stability?
I find stability great and all and definitely has its uses (and do use it if I know I’m gonna be knocked/feared around a lot), but Bolas used general x2 a fight has its killin merits to, so its a trade off. I will say though that the build has from my experience enough survivability to win enough without it (x2 stun breaker and immunity to direct damage, shield, 12 seconds of protection).
I guess its up to you to find out.
My experience is that warriors without stab are incredibly easy to shutdown. And dont you like stability stomping?
No way I would go spvp as a war without stab.
Are you sure to run without any stability?
I am testing between the Sig and the Adren heal atm.
I am not trying to kill anyone, I am a bunker, so unsuspecting foe is not needed.
I am sitting on a point, so I don’t need to close any gaps.
Stability only counters you if your stupid enough to use your knockbacks/knockdowns/stuns when they have it up.
It works just fine against all ranks, been running in tourneys and lulzing at the amount of CC I can pump out.
Seems to me your thinking entirely in terms of a DPS warrior, and not a bunker.
edit: I should say that by not trying to kill anyone I mean my build isn’t designed to kill people, but I of course, am trying to kill them
lol
Why would you bother bunkering a node on war when gua is clearly superior in this role? Thats why I indeed do think of war as dps, not a bunker.
And can you now tell us how you are doing against a good gc? How are you cc-ing your foes when you cant close gaps? Because, lets face it, no sane person is going to melee a hammer war.
Healing signet…
Hammer and mace/sh, but no unsuspecting foe.
Very limited gapclosers: easy to kite you.
Stability totally hardcounters you.
So how does your build work vs r35+ people? Seriously.
Hi, thanks for posting an interesting build.
Its a bit similar to my own old build. I however went back to good old zerk ammy.
Nice to see some use of distracting strikes trait. Just a shame that all adept majors of that tree are terrible.
I see that in your new build fast hands is gone; is that serious? That minor is the best we have.
And can you tell why you chose offhand sword? I could never make it work effectively.
Low crit rate.
One last thing: you only have fire and bleeding for conditions; no vuln or others to cover them up to make them harder to cleanse.
I thought this post was in regards to hotjoin farming, but its not.
Warriors are underrated, they are still a good class to play and still dish out the most damage. That’s why most cof p1 runs are with warriors because they are still #1 damage dealers.A lot of high rank players play warrior for a reason.
Take a look at this screenshot, do you know why that rank 67 hotjoin hero plays warrior?
For a challenge?
You forgot to look at respective ranks, mate.
And you shouldnt compare spvp with cofp1. Just dont.
Lol dude you are ridiculous wait for the patch notes to unleash your rage at least.
Isnt it obvious that torment is going to hardcounter warrior the most of all professions?
No warrior buff mentioned.
Its hard to disagree with op.
Directly from the post: “…warriors will have an option to remove conditions when using burst abilities.”
We’ll see how it’s implemented and what other changes are made, but I’m pretty sure this could qualify as a Warrior buff.
This thread is fairly ridiculous, seeing as there are only a handful of changes mentioned in the post, and they’ve stated that this is going to be the largest balance patch in the history of the game. At least wait until you know what’s actually happening before you call it a fail. It may very well be a fail, but for now, the claims are baseless.
Also, calling Torment on the Mesmer’s Scepter now. Not sure where it will fall for the Thief, but I’m betting on an underused utility or weapon set.
That option strongly suggests a gm trait, like we had our buff last patch with destruction of the empowered debacle.
Now this torment coming and the weakness buff means we must get more cond removal meaning sacrificing damage and/or defense. Leading to an even weaker warrior, while mesmer and thief are getting an easier time.
Another tool to kite warriors: as if that wasnt easy enough already. And giving it to the two most trolltastic professions. (Im fine with necro receiving it)
No warrior buff mentioned.
Its hard to disagree with op.
No fury, no interrupts, no shield.
Low crit chance for zerker and horn isnt worth it imo: it is plain awful untraited and so-so traited. Traits however are in a terrible tree. Untraited shield is still better imo.
You rly feel your battle standard is better than sor? That things cast time has always been such a pain; could have ressed your teammate in that time window prolly.
Sorry, I dont like this build.
That’s OK, you don’t have to like it. As noted above, I wanted some feedback on it, which you provided – thanks.
Regarding your comments, I agree – warhorn untraited is terrible. However, traited It’s surprisingly great for condi removal (which also in turn converts it to a boon for you and all your teammates); and it also provides vigor/swiftness for all and an aoe condi – it’s quite good. I recommend trying it out before you brush it off.
Regarding Warbanner – absolutely. Any high level tpvp brings hard rezzes where available. The cast time is still faster than single target rezzing and its also a guaranteed rez against any heavy pressure – not to mention it rezzes multiple targets (which albeit, its rare there are multiple).
Again, try it out, and let me know what you think.
Also, what builds do you run on your warrior and what experience do you have to validate them for my own edification?
Thanks,
doc
OK, thanks for your reply.
Warhorn: yes, i have tried it out and never liked it: my experience is that movement impairing conditions are too easily spammed to be cleansed by its two skills, the vigor, swiftness and weakness were nice. But shield 4 providing an almost-gap-closer and a stun, shield 5 a great defense, making it better than the horn in my experience. When carrying around a horn I always missed those skills. And thats compairing traited horn to untraited shield.
Warbanner still has 2 s cast time and an unbelievable cd. In a rare situation it will be incredibly useful; I believe that. But its not worth over sor imo.
Im just a noob playing multiple classes for fun. Im sure you play warrior better than me.
Anyway you asked my build. Ive been experimenting on my spvp warrior a lot lately and currently using this:

Let me know what you think of it.
And thanks for sharing build. Always nice to see what works for other warriros.
Strong build.
Just a few remarks: no stronger bowstrings traited means poor range on your lb, I personally cant play a lb without the trait. I would take bc over fear me for lower cd and gap closer. And fighting a mesmer i wouldnt risk wasting one of my precious interrupts on a blurred frenzy after his sw3: I just use shield5 after the immobize and let him waste shatters on the block.
No fury, no interrupts, no shield.

Sorry, I dont like this build.
No, the minor master trait in WS tree is very good already. Besides traps have low cd, so theres no need for such a trait.
Hmm, for a build being called as bleeder some things seem to have been missed: keen edge trait, cond duration, sharpening stone, sb and runes to increase your bleeding duration.
Two traps without gm trap trait is just meh, sharpened edge trait is weak and lot of defense for a pve build by sacrificing power. Rampager gear would be better imo; its childs play to kite mobs.
Your build could use some improvements.
Sure, thieves have easier access stealth, but mesmer can spam clones almost infinitely. That coupled with some stealth makes fighting the class nasty.
Also note how mesmer doesnt get revealed when generating illusions: that is insanely good.
Ok, Im talking about your first link and mostly in w3 perspectives.
For me the brown bear f2 hasnt worked, because of bad response. Perhaps its functional when its just in idle mode? Currently Im using polar bear, snow owl for their chill f2, but I will check out canines as they do seem promising.
When I mentioned cripple in my previous post, I actually meant immobilize. You know your lightning reflexes dont launch you backwards in said scenario, dont you? That is why I prefer signet of renewal over LR.
Sb3 sometimes bugs; it will only shoot me up, not backwards depending on terrain. Other classes have their tricks to neutralize your mobility advantage. You may face multiple enemies. In short I would prefer a method to remove cripple, stun, immobilize w/e.
And no, I havent tried your build, Im a lvl80 ranger mostly on w3 just trying out different builds. I just dont see yours working out for me, so Im asking for reasoning behind those.
How do you break a cripple? You dont have signet of renewal.
Also wheres your burst damage? No QZ or sharpening stone (with cond dam) on utility bar means it will take you a while to drop your opponent.
lol
