1- I don’t play my thief much, but I do know Dagger Storm is in fact the only reflect skill the profession has. I don’t know if you would see the daggers while he was stealthed as I’ve never tried, but I do know you can cancel the attack by dodging. Maybe he timed it perfectly to reflect then dodge before throwing a single dagger? It’s the only legitimate explanation I can think of.
2- Nearby ranger hiding around a corner perhaps? If they were in the same guild, and swapped pets as you killed the necro, it would appear as you stated. (pet swap puts it at your side)
3- As others have stated, quickness is the answer. I have tested this thoroughly and can confirm a quickened finish is indeed about a second long.
How has no one responded to this? That was awesome!
Actually I usually am in the enemy’s face when I use Splitblade. I am very fond of dual axes, so I typically use Path of Scars to pull them, Splitblade for bleed, and then Whirling Defense for vulnerability. Works well enough in pvp to make my opponent run away most of the time, and is great in pve. I remember falling in love with axes during Secret of Southsun when I discovered Whirling Defence pretty much singlehandedly kills karka.

It literally says exit to lion’s arch when you walk over the green star.
This. It exactly says “Exit to Lion’s Arch (Enemy Controlled)?” “Exit” would mean leave the instance, and “Lion’s Arch (Enemy Controlled)” is the name of the main map. Absolutely no confusion there.
I recently decided to play my thief again, I found Death Blossom to be a godsend. My main is a ranger, and I can say that range is the best way to go if you can’t evade like crazy.
My brother saw a dev the other night in overflow. When he whispered them if raisin face was ok, the response was “I don’t know, I haven’t seen him since the evacuation.”
Dragonbrand seems to be doing well. Since our first kill (I think it was on Saturday the week of release) we’ve been killing him once or twice each evening. Sadly most of those kills are just before I get off work…
odd…the op’s post seems to have disappeared.
He was asking about the clouds near the end of W2Z1 where the normal path is blocked.
Right when you reach the section you are standing on, where the 2 bears were, turn right instead of left, and jump down to a ledge. From there you can jump on a series of those blocking clouds back up to the normal path.

I had that problem as well, try doing W1Z3 again, that fixed it for me.
I was working on my map completion when I came across a Molten Alliance portal by Solitude Waypoint in Wayfarer Foothills. There is no dynamic event near it (since Frost and Flame has been done for months), so why is the portal still here? Did it just get missed when removing them when the living story moved on? Are there others?
I should note I’m on Dragonbrand, is this an issue on other servers as well?

I understand exactly where you are coming from. Here’s a suggestion: did you know you can party up with people from other servers? Just target them, open the party menu, and hit “join.” Most of the time (at least in my experience) you can request peaceful passage and they let you through.
As a side note, it would be nice if there was a way to opt out of PvP combat while in the Obsidian Sanctum. Then again, I guess that’s what the fountains are for. However, they don’t do much good if the campers are right at the entrance…
I go to Diessa Plateau for my dodge daily. The Nageling giant event is up pretty often and you have to dodge or block his attacks. Plus there’s tons of NPCs to revive for that daily as well. I don’t see why everyone doesn’t do something like that.
