Guild Wars 2

This has been slowly but surely getting worse over the last 6 months. The amount of times I have been left for dead when there are no mobs about is ridiculous. A perfect example was a while ago. Me and another got killed just before our zerg had finished off a boss in a temple in Orr. There must have been a good 25-30 people there and all they did was loot the chest and then leave. I’ve seen it happen on champ trains on various maps, people are downed and just left there, it takes a few seconds for a few people to revive somebody. I now call this game Greed Wars 2 because that is all it is, the “me me me me” generation. I’ve seen it happen loads of times in the new content that was released the other day. People are downed, there are no mobs about and other players will just run past them and not help.

Not sure if anybody else has experienced this but when talking to a scout certain sounds are missing. I don’t have no footprint sounds, weapon firing sounds and some ambient sounds are missing as well. The only way to get these sounds back is go talk to the scout again and if that doesn’t work then I have to log out and back in again.

I’m about to give up on this game now. Getting random disconnects again today and this has been going on now for well over a week.

First time I logged on today I was in a major town and just walking around when I suddenly died! I bled out but couldn’t respawn at a waypoint and the only option I had was to quit the game.

Getting random disconnects today. I have sent in a support ticket with game advisor log attached to it so will see what the reply is. This is getting really annoying now and it never happened to me prior to the Queens Jubilee patch.

It is funny you should mention that about DHCP. I was getting disconnects on a regular basis and I’ve just checked mine and it was set to hourly. I have now changed it to weekly so will see what if this sorts the disconnects.

It’s the same for me. I wanted to use a smaller interface but when I do I can’t read any text on the trading post so have no option but to use normal size, which I’m not to keen on. Been like this since launch last year.

No you are not being cynical. In the last few hours I’ve been disconnected about 10 times and this all started with the Queen’s Jubilee patch but had got worse since the free trial started.

I can play for a few minutes or 10 minutes then all of a sudden I get lag, no skills work, nothing appears in chat when I type and then I am disconnected.

It should go onto a 30 second timer and then kick you out or like Cinder said send the loot straight to your inventory. I got a nice a green staff from the previous chest and somebody received a very nice gold item.

If this starts to happen most of the time then there is really no point in running dungeons. It’s going to end up like WoW with all the “needers.”

Ran through AC story mode tonight for only the second time and we had a good group. We got to King Adelbern and managed to kill him, first person runs up to open the chest then suddenly says “Got to go bye” and quits forcing everybody out back onto Plains of Ashford, rest of party obviously didn’t get to loot the chest.

Looks like there was nothing in that chest for the person who opened it and so thought he would be selfish and quit out to find another group. When something like this happens the game needs to give us chance to loot before kicking us out.

Think you need to use real life money to buy the gems for it.

In the first week I had loads, 3-4 a day but lately I’ve not received any. I did notice that those I reported and blocked were no longer on my block list, so I’m guessing that they’ve been banned.

Right click, report, spamming/scamming and then block.

That’s the only way to do it right now.

I see this on every single game forum now. Doesn’t matter if it’s an MMO, FPS, Platformer or driving game. The problem is it keeps all the legitimate posts off the first page and they end up being shoveled into the nether regions of the board. One of the worse ones I’ve seen in over 10 years of gaming was on the Battlefield 3 board when they released their “Premium” content. Some of the posts were anti-semetic, racist and the odd one threatening physical violence against other members.

Was talking to somebody in my guild the other night and they came on here for the first time and couldn’t believe the amount of whining posts about this game.

I did read a post on here a few days ago, somebody had played a necro and got to quite a high level then came on here. He said it nearly put him off playing the necro again because he started believing most of the posts.

This is one reason why I hardly come onto forums like this nowadays. If people have issues with the game then post up something in the suggestions forum then move on, instead of repeating the same old rubbish over and over.

Loving the game and it is definitely one of the best I’ve played for a long time but just one annoying problem, gold sellers mailing you.

Is there any chance that in a future patch we only receive mail from people on your friends list? Every time I log on I will have 3-4 from stupid gold sellers. Gets annoying after while having to report them and doing something like I suggested would make the experience a lot better.

I get that as well and it makes trading post pretty unreadable. Hopefully there will be a small patch to fix this.

Just wondering if there is a way of finding out how many game hours you have actually played on this. It would be great to maybe see and keep a check on it, it’s starting to take over my life!

Loving the game and I said before I started playing that I wouldn’t spend to much time on it but when it’s this good it is hard to resist.
