Aye, I’ve been turning them down beforehand, but since my settings are pretty specific it’s annoying to take a screenshot of my settings so I can set them back afterwards, since as far as I’m aware there’s no way of saving your settings as a preset that you can switch back to later.

Thanks for your feedback, I wasn’t expecting flawless FPS with 100 people in front of you but as long as it’s playable I don’t mind.

just my impressions (positive)

Some positivity is always great. Forums are generally a place for people to complain about stuff, especially when the game is new since most of the happy players are too busy playing the game.

I think the game is great, it’s a fresh take on the MMO scene after every new MMO seems to be trying to imitate WoW, and I just hope Anet stick to it. I agree on the point above, what excites me more than the games current state is its future.

Whilst getting a new PC is a good idea, have a good play with the graphics settings until then. If I put my settings on the highest preset, the framerate is a bit too low to be playable. With some tweaks on specific things, it looks pretty much exactly the same but the framerate is playable. I would post exactly what I’ve changed to achieve this but I’m not at my main PC right now.

Slightly related question: How much difference would a PC upgrade make to WvW? That’s the only thing my PC struggles on high settings at the moment, I’m upgrading to something much better soon but should I expect there to be a big improvement or is lag in WvW network related and unavoidable due to the sheer amount of players.

Game is dying, so what are you doing to fix the only content you have?

Whether you make valid points or not, claiming the game is ‘dying’ after it being out for a couple of weeks and selling over 2 million copies just makes you look silly, and no one is going to take you seriously.

Grinding? Really?

Grinding will always exist in MMOs, the only thing that changes is how well the developers mask it and try make it interesting.

You buy a non subscription game, pour hundreds of hours into it in the first couple of weeks, and then you seem shocked and dissapointed that you’re now bored? To me, that is incredibly good value for money, I would be nothing but pleased with that. I can’t name any other non-subscription games that would offer me that much entertainment at that price.
