Listen,
I’m a Systems Analyst, the best performance you Will get is from utilizing these steps:
1.) Get More RAM (4GB is fine, I recommend 8GB (all U’ll need)
2.) Get a Quad core (preferably i-series (no FSB limiters)
3.) Get a Dual SLI channel motherboard (2x – 16x)
You will be all set.
Setting set custom on highest + 1080p. My range is roughly | Min: 75 ~ Max: 270
My Specs:
i5 750 (OC’d @ 4.0Ghz)
12GB Corsair ddr3 1600
SLI Superclocked EVGA 460’s (1GB cards each)
1000w Coolermaster PS
NZXT Zero 2 case (Full Tower)
Noctua u12p (Heatsink)
6x Scythe 120mm fans
Do the above; but also try this:
Right click on your “Guild Wars 2” shortcut
Click on the Target field
At the end of the target field enter this " -repair"
Run the GW2 repair(the shortcut). Once completed go into the shortcut and remove the “-repair”. Then try the game again.
If this does not work, try downloading Auslogic’s Disk Defragmenter.
Run the Defrag, try GW2.
If this does not work re install GW2
If the problem still does not work, You have a bad HDD.
You can get a 1TB HDD for 50 bucks. Cheap fix
Good Luck to you sir. MSG me if you have any issues.
I also put in a support ticket to Areanet. I also called my ISP (Time Warner). On the phone with the technician they noticed I had a 12% packet loss rate. (This was with one machine, bypassing my local router, and directly connecting to their modem.) Imagine if it were multiple machine with traffic going through that single modem…
Not sure about Double Dagger Necro but Condition necros are probably one of the most versatile classes. They can bunker and do decent damage. They have constant regen with the roll that causes Mark of Blood which grants regen. to you. They have lots of anti-burst skills such as the well that blinds or death shroud and necros are practically immune to condition damage.
I like scepter/dagger necro. Its just the staff necro I just cant seem to get down…
Hey guys I have a few questions.
I’m looking at getting into sPvP. To be honest I know I have a lot to learn, and that’s okay. I love competition. So anyways I’ll get to the point, are these classes viable in sPvP?
Double Pistol Condition Engineer:
-Uses DP
-Condition/Crit dependant
-skills are (heal elix, invuln elix, elixer r, supply drop)
Next up:
Double Dagger Necro:
http://www.gw2db.com/skill-builds/693-necroassassin
There is the build link.
Please let me know guys.
I really enjoy the versatility of the engineer, especially with supply drop, elixer remove condition, and the ability to beautiful damage.
I’m looking for a VERY versatile class that can sustain very well, has lots of tricks up its sleeves(not predictable), and does substantial DPS.
Skill requirement means nothing to me.
Please give me a hand!!
Not to mention guys, if you just uninstall these antiviruses they will not remove the registry keys. Thus causing an issue behind the scenes.
Hope this helps. Feel free to PM me with any issues.
Guys, please try this and let me know:
1.) Go into your add + remove programs list, check for any anti-virus software. If you see Norton, McAfee, Symantec, AVG, etc. Do not uninstall it! Go to Google, and search for the “antivirus name” removal tool (ex. “AVG removal tool”).
2.) Run the removal tool.
3.) If the removal was successful, try playing the game. If Unsuccessful do step 4.
4.) I want you to download + run the McAfee removal tool + Norton removal tool.
THIS IS WHY********
9.5x/10 Norton + McAfee are KNOWN for being installed as bloatware when installing/updating such things as: flash/shockwave/silverlight/reader/etc. They are most likely on your system, and causing issues.
5.) Once you know your system is completely clean I want you do this:
Go to Start > Run > Type in “services.msc” > Sort the list from A-Z > search for the windows firewall service(should be at bottom) > Right click on the service > Go to properties > and select the drop down box and select “Disabled” > then click the “stop” button (If the service is running).
~~~~~~ If this is truly an Antivirus issue, the above tools should fix the issue ~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Now lets get into your router.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Generally the IP will be 192.168.1.0 or 192.168.1.1 (if not check the default IP on manufacturers website)
Go into your router (will have to look up the default credentials, unless you have configured them yourself.
GW2 uses ports: 80, 443, 6112, 6600
With this in mind, configure these port forwards:
those settings now.
Application Name——————-Start——-End—-Prot.——IP Address
Name1———————————-80———80——-TCP——192.168.1(or 0).(blank)
Name2———————————-443——443——TCP——192.168.1(or 0).(blank)
Name3———————————-6112—-6112——TCP——192.168.1(or 0).(blank)
Name4———————————-6600—-6600——TCP——192.168.1(or 0).(blank)
Thing’s I’ve tried to get this to work:
1.) Replacing the router
2.) New NIC Card
3.) resetting my IP connection
4.) Winsock setting configuration
5.) client-port 80
6.) -diag (passed)
I think my issue is a faulty Ethernet chord. I will be testing this tonight.
I took the OSI model trouble shooting from Layer 7-1. When I should have gone from 1-7. Silly me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Final Thoughts~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think my original error 7 was because I was on a European Server and I did not know. I am a Systems Analyst at a hospital. I can answer any question you would like, and I’d be more than happy to assist you guys in any way possible.
