Maybe this should be posted under bugs, but during a number of large scale events, namely dragons, though sometimes escorts a very loud CLOMP CLOMP noise is heard that really kills immersion. So far in regards to sound the rest is really good, but this one particular thing pops up every now and then.
It’s specific to sound so I’m hoping it’ll get seen here. It seems to be generally consistent with a large number of players and might just be some sort of gain issue or something.
Took me 2 tries, but I did get through it on the 2nd attempt. If Trahearn gets stuck, log off and back in, and try again. My advice is start doing story with friends, or find other players in Lion’s Arch who are on the same step / choices as you, if possible. I enjoy the stories so seeing aspects of each one in a diverse party isn’t really bad anyhow, and offer a lot of crafting drops. As a warning, at 55+ the stories start throwing so many enemies at you that you’ll want to bring a friend anyhow just to curb the difficulty some.
I’m up to 72 now (story) level 80 character, and I can say that I am more than happy to wait for my buddies to mess with my story, than to try and do it alone.
It’s a safe bet that the login screen includes dungeons, and the in-game map is just the overworld. Getting all PoIs in all dungeons is probably what is missing to hit 100% at login screen.
Based on this information, I’ll make sure my final discovery point is in orr. It could be the reward scales incorrectly based on what level you are side kicked down to when you hit 100%. Obviously that IS a bug, but it’s something important to keep in mind for anyone close to 100%.
My advice would be that the people who are bugged out (currently) to add each other on friends (use the forum account tag in-game) and set up to do the event as a group. I did this event with a buddy and got it the first try, but Trahaern never died for us. Run it as a group and keep him alive and you should be good.
I believe on bosses it goes with what % of total damage you did to the combined event mobs (a world dragon that spawns adds wills till net you gold if you pound on the adds). However, I also noticed that combo fields and conditions on enemies seems to get a lot of credit also. Laying down combo fields seems to net a lot of credit on enemies, in addition it seems to award you credit for each attack through your combo field towards event enemies.
To that end though, if you run around healing and buffing people for an event you will probably get low to no participation. I’ve found the most reliable way so far though, is combo fields, conditions, and damage. They don’t factor in healing yet though.
If he got a bloodstone shard, that’s the big item. The gifts can be acquired via trading post, and so can the pre-weapons.
This is the rough list I was able to find. All of them need a bloodstone shard. If you got a bad one of the gifts, you trade with another player for one you need, and then sort out how to get the other items.

More specifically, if one of the items is/was a “Bloodstone Shard” then yes, you were handed one of the hard parts of a legendary weapon, that normally costs 200 skill points, for free. You said you received 2, I’m curious what the other is. =P
That might be intended – depending what the items are. Keep in mind if they handed you the two big price items (200 and 50 skill point items for MF) for getting 100% – they basically gave you a legendary weapon. You simply have to figure out the rest of the formulae, which is probably either the 2 base parts of the weapon, or, the super expensive crafted part + one other item.
Try initially taking the two pieces and the two crafted parts of the weapon and sticking them in the forge to check for a match. If this creates one…well then its up to you to consider the value of what you are about to possibly create and be certain that it’s what you want, cause it will probably be another 250 skill points before you have that opportunity again.
