A mini npc humanoid pet looks incredibly cheesy and stupid zipping around at your feet. Are rewards like these really appropriate for players who spend hours upon hours of grinding to get the achievements? The rewards for this whole event just seem easily passable. What is the point of doing the dungeon when they don’t reward you with anyone good? Do people really want the monocle or tonic? 100 Dragon Coffers seem nice, but big whoop now you have more RNG to get the mini and the jade weapon ticket. Both of which are again easily passable if you don’t like the skins.

I’m not saying these rewards are not cool and desirable to chunk of people, but after all, they are all completely cosmetic, and if you are a person that doesn’t like any of these cosmetic rewards, you have no incentive to take other than to “experience” it. This game has just a lost any and all meaningful character progression outside of achievement hunting…oh wait that is all it has ever had (besides FotM, a grindfest).

Pretty much in the title. But if you can’t figure out what I’m trying to convey by that then just know that “Ranger” isn’t in reference to the word range. A ranger is a woodsman, outdoorsman, or someone who acts to protect the wild.

Just figured I’d post this. It’s annoying reading the forums and seeing people say that we should be the longest range or best range class when to justify how they think the ranger should be played.

I was just wondering if the Devs even read or care about this forum. I know stupid question, but they apparently have time to say goodbye to one person (who posted on the forums), but haven’t said anything to us.

Oh Yes the Dev’s are here they are like cops , they are searching bad guys who say bad things about gw2 or are trolling on there forums, but changing things in GW2? Nah man, they will change things over 2 years. PvE, What is that man? Rangers, oh downed. Guardians/Warriors let them solo whole dungeons..

But Arenanet willn’t see the problem, cuz they will release new temp grinding stuff! Super Awesome! Can’t wait!

Who cares about bows?! (Not us) You shouldn’t either. You should strive to be like the Ranger from the last GW and that guy from those books everyone likes (think there was a movie too) and use only melee weapons. If not you’re obviously doing it wrong and should be ashamed of yourself. L2P.
Also, it’s good pets got nerfed. They were just so good that they were preventing people from using all of our other viable builds. They did tons and tons of damage even when not boosted with Beastmaster trait stats or when leeching your your own effectiveness as a character. They didn’t even have trouble hitting moving targets or people who put the most minute effort into avoiding them. They were just that good. Again, that one guy from those books had that one pet that was always killing crap or watching his back. (It even saved him from falling off a cliff cuz his hand got stuck one time)

TL;DR
Stop complaining cuz you were probably doing it wrong. Don’t give a crap about your pet either. It isn’t like it takes anything away from you personally as a Ranger. Be like the Ranger from the last GW and that LotR movie; Use melee weapons and very reliable pets to have your back while slaying those Orc.

PS.
That’s what you tards who tell bow rangers they’re doing it wrong sound like or insist pets were so OP you couldn’t counter them.

Let me guess you are a kitten ed warrior player? Use pets, good joke man they die in like 20secs, GG.

Achievements, a important subject of Guild Wars 2. That’s why i think specific titles for the game type will be a good thing. The system of the ranks is How higher your winning spree with your guild how more points you get:
1 win → 1 Point of Loyalty
5 wins → 3 Points of Loyalty
10 wins ? 10 Points of Loyalty
15 wins ? 20 Points of Loyalty
30 Wins ? 50 Points + (Title) Prince of the Guildhall

I really want to see that old school Guildhall back from Guildwars 1, because it was handy to get your people for a event, and it was also handy because everything was there, a merchant, your storage etc, and it were amazing to have a exclusive place just for your guild.

PVP System
I came up with a idea and i want to share it with you guys! My idea is: A Guildhall PvP system. The system is like we have now in WvW, you can upgrade your fortification. But now its with your guildhall, you can upgrade for example the turrets , walls etc. You can buy, also facilities like: a merchant, ur own storage, guild storage, guild armorer etc!
Gametypes

Ambush
One opponent defense his own Guildhall, the other opponent attacks the guildhall and tries to destroy it.
How can you win?
[First Way] -> You destroy your opponent their Guildhall. You destroy your opponent guildhall if the Guildlord ( NPC ) is defeated.
[Second Way] -> There will be a limit of spawns, when the limit of spawns is reached of your opponent, your guild will win.

Domination
You and your opponent try to get different places and try to defend this, like we have already in SPvP. Each place will give you for example 5 points each 10 seconds, if your guild reach the certain number of points for example 300, before your opponent reach it, your guild wins.
How can you win?
[First Way] -> You destroy your opponent their Guildhall. You destroy your opponent guildhall if the Guildlord ( NPC ) is defeated.
[Second Way] -> if your guild reach the certain number of points for example 300, before your opponent does.

Guild VS Guild Title, says enough.

How can you win?
[First Way] -> You destroy your opponent their Guildhall. You destroy your opponent guildhall if the Guildlord ( NPC ) is defeated.

This makes, every fight different and you really need to communicate with each other, because you can split your team up or run with your whole team to the buff tower and then start doing the main object of your specific game type. When you capture the buff tower there is a cooldown of 1-2 minutes on it. This is because otherwise people will only fight at the buff tower. This will affect the game experience in a bad way, because there would be a fight for the buff tower and people will forget of the main object of the game type.

Guild Rewards
I think there needs to be a border between " Casual guild" and " Hardcore guild". That’s why i came up with the this idea: You can upgrade your Guildhall the first 5 levels with Influence, after the first 5 levels you need to play Guildhall PvP, if you want to upgrade your guildhall further. Every won match will give the guild 3 marks of honor, if you lose your guild get 1 mark of honor. With these Marks you can upgrade ur guildhall ( Turrets , stronger walls , Buffs for PvE , Merchants etc!)

Individual rewards
I think there needs to be a border between " Casual gamers" and " Hardcore gamers". The system is, like we had in Guildwars 1. How higher your winning spree with your guild how better your rewards will be.

Hello,
I’m wondering about the fact " Does Anet listen to her community?’
Because when i take a look at the sub-forum " Suggestions" from release of gw2 till now, people along with some bad but mostly good ideas, and i see nearly people begging for new Perm dungeon content, which is hard etc. The thing is, people are already 4-5 months complaining about PvE, that there is no endgame, no real dungeons, RNG, Reward vs Risk issue etc. Why don’t Arenanet listen, and release some new dungeons, 4-5 months are long enough to release something what is permanent and is fun, they only released fractals.. They lose a part of their players because of this, some people say “you just must be patient”, but i think you must admit that after 9 months after the release you must have some difficult dungeons and you must have a sort of endgame ( Special looks armor etc what is hard to get etc), and especially the endgame is a important feature because now everyone walks with the same armor, you cant be " unique ". At the other hand we got the sad thing that Warriors / Guardians can solo whole dungeons, even the new Aetherblade dungeon, this makes the game experience worse, because of the simple thing, why shall you make for example a engineer if your damage output is low, you can’t do all the dungeons because lots of people want " Zerk warriors " and if you go pug without these zerk groups you come along with little children / trollers / people who act like Leroy Jenkins / Kilroy Stonekin / and last but not least, the noobs, ofcourse not everyone will take her / his class because of the DMG output but a quite amount of people do, and i conclude this out of the fact, that there are way more guardians / warriors then for example engineers / Mesmers. Before people are going to say " if you dont like the game leave it then " but the problem is GW2 is a awesome game, but Arenanet are just slacking to improve the game, what is needed.
~ Well, let me know your opinion about this and ofcourse about gw2~

Well, What arena.net could do is: When you use 3 signets you get a extra buff, and when you activate your 3 signets at the same time, you get a active buff, i think this will help alot. But i think this willn’t happen because, warriors are already OP.

It was stated that they didn’t want to bring back the classic gvg system, because matches were too long, had no action, an people were too defensive.

I hope they will add GvG at some point, but probably with other objectives.

Thanks for reply , i think the buff tower can be a great addition, because your guild have to capture it, if they want a extra Buff ( For example fury/reg/power etc ), which give you a small lead on your opponent. Arenanet can control the length of the GvG match as well, by making the certain number of points lower or higher, so they can limit the respawn times and because of that you can force people to attack.

Hello,
it will probably takes 6 months or something for Arenanet to make a proper dungeon, so i think we just need to have patience again, like we have already 6-7 months for our end-game. Now we just have to play lame temporarily content , with achievements as " Pummel pinata’s". I really love GW2, but they are now just slacking,, its a bad thing because players will leave the game of this! But back to our " End-Game", our endgame is now CoF/AC/ARAH etc. Those dungeons are supposed to be hard, but the sad thing they aren’t hard. Our “End-Game” is getting solo’ed by Wars/Guardians. War and guardians can solo AC and CoF and even Arah ( Well, with some skip-exploits, but still, you can’t name it as "End-Game if something is solo able in my opinion). End-Game is supposed to be hard, to challenge players and reward them with gear/tokens etc, Our " End-Game" is like grind grind grind, and grind. Its a bad thing for a game like GW2 cuz GW2 can be a awesome game, but they really need to polish the game.

Hello,
What about a new system? With Normal level dungeons and Elite level dungeons?
The normal tokens → Normal Armor, Weapons etc
The Elite dungeon tokens → Elite armor ( More cool skin etc ) , Elite weapons.
We had also in gw1 Elite armor, so why not in gw2? The thing what is most irritating in my opinion is that everyone have the same armor, cuz dungeon armors are easy to get, and so is the culture armor. There need to be some " exclusive " armor what is hard to get.

World Drops
I think World drops can help also alot, because of the exclusivity. For example: There will be launched a new dungeon, and the endboss of that dungeon can drop a exotic weapon ( people will now farming this boss because of the exotic weapon and not the money what the reward will give, i think this will improve the gameplay), and maybe as reward for completing the dungeon , some RNG?
