The problem I have with this puzzle is invisible walls right in the beggining like i jump while like in the middle and sometimes I don’t go up but the animation occurs and I’m going through the floor. Sometimes it can be difficult to with others around you, and the wait time before getting back to the tower to attempt it again.

To me I see this a problem where some form of the content is directed to one part of the audience while the other one is neglected, this has occurs in other MMORPG’s as well, like catering to the casual while the people who desire a challenge is left out, and in this case, catering to the core players while the casuals are left out. I wish they would work on making two separate versions of this for both sides where one wants a challenge they can go after this like how this tower may be in it’s current state and call it “hard mode” while make a nerf version and what have you and call that “normal mode”.

This puzzle feels more based upon retro arcade games, not truely based on skills but based on who has better hardware, time, and some of the puzzles faults rather than more based on a games skill if you mess up it’s by your own faults, one game that comes to mind is Dark Souls, and the devs who made Super Meat Boy have a good understanding of difficulty as in if you screw up, you want to get back in to the game right away rather wait cause that can be irratating to some including myself.

To me what they could of have done is make “normal mode” where the acid rising is much slower and the reward is just a skin and less important rewards while the “hard mode” has its current difficulty, but doing somthings with invisible walls and the reward is the current sandles with the runes and stats plus maybe alot of silver or even gold, my point instead of thinking of one group, think for groups on both sides cause one suffers while the other benefits.

Some can say this will ruin the reward, I personally do not think so because this game is more based on skin grind rather than gear grind, you look at a legendaries stats and you will see little difference to its pre-cursor, while my suggestion sure you can get the skin, but you won’t have the “hard mode” versions stats or runes so you’ll need to invest time on it, but ofcoarse some people may have an exotic and good runes to do it off the bat, but some people may not.

Other people may not be so fortunate to have skills, time, and hardware so this may harm them for doing this ’it’s optional’ sure, and people chose the option to do it, and some may not want to give up on it so easily. While I am pleased this MMORPG decided to put a challenge forth, I just wish they wouldn’t pick one side only, and find a solution for the other at the same time and to do some tweaking ahead of time for this tower.

I find it infuriating, will I find it satisfying if I beat it? I doubt it because I’ve beaten a game that couldn’t implement game difficulty modes properly but is considered a challenge and that was Bit Trip Runner, so I don’t think it’ll be worth the rage to have a little sense of accomplishment lol but I’m taking this as a challenge and best of luck to others still trying to get this.

Improvement to the legendary weapons and how they are obtained:

from what I’ve seen the legendary weapons have to be obtained through alot of grinding, and I think it’s a shame for what story or adventures that can be told from these weapons.
I don’t think these weapons should be based on a price but make it feel like a journey, not a destination.
an idea like the pre-legendary weapon Dawn, you take it to a certain zone and somehow and like at a certain time when a sunrise will appear the sword will change and be one step closer to being into a legendary weapon.

Another idea related with Dawn is that when using the mystic forge and instead of getting the actual weapon, you get like a stone that works somewhat like the Hall of Monument Stone but works similar like the Mesmer’s Portal Entre/Exeunt and when you click on it one, it will display a portal underneath your feet saying somthing like “a portal to great power has appeared” and will display on map chat notifying players around and appearing on the map like a Dynamic Event so they can gather around, the click on the stone again to open the portal to then enter the zone.
The portal will remain open for like 10-30 seconds and when everyone enters, the one who opened the portal, everyone will be scaled up/down to his/her level and will enter a realm of the weapon that person wishes to obtain, but that weapon has taken a physical form, either a super natural being, or Gods within Guild Wars 2.

You and everyone inside of this realm goal is to defeat this being for whatever reason, and since I’ve meantioned Dawn in order to make the legendary weapon Sunrise, the boss can has a very unique mechanic like defeat him fast as possible but if the sun starts to rise and shines on your enemy, more abilities will be unlocked for it and gains buff, also having unique mechanics etc. So you must find large objects to block the sun from shining on to him while he might try to prevent you from doing so.
After the battle when the poweful being is defeated, you will obtain you’re legendary weapon for you’re hard work, and the people who helped will get a chest with good treasures inside like money, great armor/weapons, or rare crafting materials.

I see great potential for the legendary weapons to be so much more than a fancy weapon with a price tag on it, it can be a great experience and somthing to remember by and possibly a story to tell and maybe potential for the dungeon armors too and to not to draw away from making some of these unique.
Grinding can be a boring experience to some if not alot, but this can definately be a step up from getting away from the grinding and more adventures to remember.

Dynamic Events & Holidays

I’d like to see Dynamic Events not just outside of cities, but inside of cities as well. It would also be interesting if they can add season changes if possible, would love to see winter and some/most of Tyria covered in snow and able to do snowball fights with players or events where you build a snowman, or fall where the leaves are yellow/orange and an animation where the leaves fall or some trees without leaves and some of the grass is dead, and to see like Holloween events where you go to npcs for candy or in cities like in Divinity’s Reach where you knock on door to get candy.

What I would like to see is the Heart Reknown quests worked on as well as Dynamic and Meta events.

Heart Reknown quests are a bit repetitve and very restrictive as in order to complete the quests you have to be around that area in order to contribute, I would like to see like an alternative part of those quests where you talk to the npc for the quest and they have a specific part in that quest is bound to you and gives you an option to go outside of the area to get points for quests that contribute to it, kinda like a fetch quest as one of them I have in mind? Like if a woman is taking care of her grandmother and she is ill and needs medicine and asks you to go to the city and get the medicine, she could either give you a pass (if possible to be implemented) or give you the money for waypoints based on your level. I currently find it very limited where the system is currently at and also if possible I would like to see when you complete the heart quests, they stay permanent, like you helping the sick sylvari’s and they stay healthy or a less hostile environment around the area while others can work on the quest and you can contribute if you talk to the npc to make it optional if you wanna toggle the events that occur in that quest, and make the reward system more unique because I find it weird that a toad has gold on him where they had a hard time getting truffles, they could reward you like the toad offering you a truffle or two or a farmer offering gowns, I don’t mind gold just I would like to make it feel more attaching to that npc to feel more natural.

I would like to see the Dynamic events and Meta events respawn time tuned down because it’s waaay to frequent and loses it’s immersion imo. I see a world boss, kill it, 30 minutes to an hour later and it’s already back… I think 1-3 weeks of these kind of bosses should be the respawn time and it’s not like we lose a way of getting exp or money since there are alot of ways of obtaining exp and money. I would also like to see world bosses be a little bit more challenging than it just spamming AoE, I could just use my ranged auto-attack and go afk and I contribute. and maybe some meta events set at certain times and have different outcomes possibly like escorting someone who is carrying cargo and is always attacked by freaking centaurs, make the attacks happen by different enemies and how many will attack during(if any) during the meta, and the the person carrying the cargo will transport his goods like 8 in the morning to 6 in the afternoon.

I see great potential with this game, though the pve content is so bleh to me currently and I hope somthing happens about this part of it’s content.
