Diamond Skin
We really love this trait as it opens up some very powerful potential in the earth line to run a defensive elementalist without relying on healing power. The strength of this build is going to be the ability to quickly string small heals together to maintain that condition resistance. I think it could see use in both high damage builds looking to avoid weakness and blind, as well as in defensive builds looking to tank condition heavy classes and condition heavy mobs. I think the big question here is the base health/armor of the elementalist. Of course if you are just an elementalist you just want us to raise these, but balance must work around some fixed things and profession health and armor are an important part of defining what a profession is so that we can create powerful tools that players can actively use to circumvent these weaknesses. In this case if this trait is not powerful enough to be a grandmaster, I believe the right answer is going to be to lower the threshold, not to increase elementalist base health.
I feel like, at the very least, Diamond Skin should give some sort of visual cue to avoid being detrimental to the builds other condi classes run. Similar to how when a warrior pops Endure Pain, you can see it on their buff bar. This allows classes to respond (i.e: don’t dump your entire burst on a warr who is just going to negate all the damage). Without this small change, Diamond Skin would forever be unpredictable and basically considered OP by the community at large.
I’m loving most of the Ele changes though. I’m also very thankful you guys at Anet are sharing this with the community. Good luck with the fine-tuning!

Although I think this stands for most mega bosses.
Problem
There are so many visually-appealing things going on during the fight with Tequatl; yet I feel like I’m basically staring at his claw the whole time. It’s not so bad when manning the turrets, but when you’re up-close-and-personal with the zerg it becomes impossible to enjoy the cinematic-ness of the fight while focusing on.. well, fighting!
Solution
Can we at least have an option to zoom out the camera a lot more, so that players can get a fuller view of the area? It’s kind of a waste considering how amazing the fight is to watch.
I have noticed that in certain open world events – although I couldn’t tell you which ones – the camera will do this automatically. So I’m fairly sure this is a reasonable request.
Thoughts?
Once again, my inventory/bank space is being clogged. I love collecting these and having them on my characters – most of them are really cool. But every time I become encumbered it brings me just a little bit closer to doing what was at first unthinkable – deleting those space hogs.
Wouldn’t it be great if we had another inventory tab that stores all these one-time cosmetic items? (krytan torch, balloon etc.) Much like the quest items tab in SWTOR. This would encourage players to keep and collect the achievement rewards.
Maybe the tab could even be account bound?
Couldn’t agree more! WP has greatly enhanced my enjoyment ingame, the majority of lore I now know about Tyria is due to the amazing effort he puts into his channel. I hope he gets this. Durmand Priory would be perfect.
Signed.

TL;DR Now that the infinite gathering tools are no longer available, is it possible that they be made account bound?
I have purchased all three of them, but now I’m regretting the character (more specifically, the race) that I chose to soulbind them to. I can’t understand why a limited time item like this has such a major inconvenience attached. Having to choose a single character to keep them – while this may make sense for some – has a negative impact on the way I choose to experience the game.
I’m sure that others have had similar experiences to me. I would really appreciate a reply from AreanNet, even if it is just to explain their position on this.

TL;DR: I think ArenaNet should add another tab in the Hero panel where we can equip/display skins without having to transmute over the armor/weapons we are already using. This could be coupled with a PvE & WvWvW collections locker where we can store skins we aren’t currently using.
I find the transmutation system so debilitating to my enjoyment in GW2. Whenever ANet releases new skins, instead of simply getting excited about them, I find myself having to make a choice:
- Do I like this skin enough to warrant transmuting over what I’m currently wearing?
Will I regret losing the skin I have right now?
- Is this new skin so good that, if needs be, I will buy another piece of armor just so I can keep the skin I already have?
And this is the question that most irks me:
- When the next patch/event comes out with brand new skins, will I still be thankful that I went to all this trouble, or will I simply rinse and repeat?
I realize this is just my experience; I am not a bank hoarder so I obviously can’t speak for everyone. But I can imagine we are having similar problems: these skins either get used now, left to collect dust in our ever-shrinking bank space, or simply deleted and lost forever (usually my situation).
I think this is a huge shame. I have enjoyed most of the content ANet have released since launch, and I love the new skins they keep coming out with. But I would love it even more if I could actually collect them without getting rid of what I’ve already invested time, effort and gold in. So when next year’s Dragon Bash comes out I can look back and feel proud of what I earned the year before.
I honestly think this would change the game! Players could have the freedom to mix-and-match at their leisure. We can enjoy the skins while they’re new and exciting without the added guilt of having to forfeit our old stuff. Not to mention that months from now, all the people who have been playing since launch would have something to show for it.
Am I the only one who feels this way? I would love it if this could get changed, as I think it is a real shame for a game so focused on cosmetics.
