it’s always a good point to start of with your build until you know enough to fill it with your own preferences.
But for PvE you can almost play anything you want and have fun
-Gandalf, Empire strikes back
First off, this is not really a competitive build but more of a revival of the old Killshot warrior and somewhat inspired by the thief gunner cheese build that was around for some time.
I used this build in some unranked sPvP and WvW. It’s quite fun see people die instant because they most of the time won’t expect i killshot (or just play bad ^^).
So, here is the full offense, high risk high reward build:

I usually start on rifle and stack up my adrenaline, #8 and #9 on target followed by my killshot.
Works 3.6/5 times

I totally agree with you and your suggestion
Not only would it make ranger gameplay more fun and viable but also it simply makes more sense.
If i shoot an arrow at something from close range the impact wouldn’t be less powerful than from a greater distance.
But whatever, I’m tired of being punished for playing LB in dungeons where i just can’t stand further away.

Nice to see how many people took time to give some feedback and trying to improve this class
Hopefully someone at A-Net will see some of the mentioned points.
After further testing of Rev and other classes i also think Rev is pretty kitten slow. With S/S i would like to feel like a heavier thief cracking skulls. But for me it feels more like a reaper without a GS ^^
One more bug i had while going through the beginning of beta and defending the fort, I used sword#3 while my foe was running away ending with me somehow clipping between sand and a wall, becoming stuck in it. Maybe i was just unlucky but i think this could happen more often as soon as Rev gets fully into dungeons and stuff.

It also seems that when it finishes you stand there with your back against the target not doing anything. It should end with you facing the target and auto attacking.
You are right, I forgot that
I like it taht you have to choose between the legends. It pushes you in a specific direction.
Guess it is all unfinished and surely needs more balancing and stuff. Also thought s/s would be more powerful and bursty but I guess we will have to combine several skills to get burst damage. Like #9 + sword skills. Glascanon like^^^

First of, I am sorry if someone was faster than me in creating but search tool didn’t bring anything up.
Just wanted to collect some feedback on released things until now on Rev.
At this point I personally can’t talk about damage output because i haven’t tested for long but there is one thing I miss.
I would appreciate a progress bar on sword #3.
Just like Rangers Rapid Fire or Elementalist Dagger #2 in fire.
At the moment we have the cast shown but after this comes, pretty awesome looking but also rather long animation which could get hard to follow in crowded fights.
