I can attest to the fact that fire elemental in tough 1v1’s is a gamechanger.
FGS against petting zoos is amazing, and it’s also useful for travel in large maps.
I don’t know why anyone would choose to use suicidebutton.

I played a few matches with it, and it seems decent.

Some people run LB+GS zerk ranger in spvp. I personally feel it’s too squishy, doesn’t have enough party support, and overall can’t really do much contribution in an organized match unless rotations are good.

I do this:
wasd movement
12345 on weapon skills
q heal
ert utilities
y elite (hard to reach, but that’s good because I hate accidentally fatfingering elites)
zxvc the “f1-f4” skills
b dodge
f interact
g push to talk in TS, Mumble, whatever
ctrl+t target
ctrl+g take target
` weapon swap (irrelevant for ele)
forward side mouse button weapon slot #1
back side mouse button stow weapon
SHIFT look behind
Probably other stuff I can’t think of off the top of my head

Not sure. I like it, but I didn’t think too hard about the balance implications.
Just started playing x/x +longbow stance warrior in pvp a few days ago.
I think people would still run longbow, though, because fire fields are might, and might is life.

Server has nothing to do with sPvP anymore. Or much of anything, for that matter, except for WvW.

PvP really isn’t that great for PvE rewards… I don’t really see what the big deal is. Sure, it’s not fun for those who want to play, but it’s not gamebreaking. Also, Unranked/Ranked is either the same or more rank points. Other people getting rank points doesn’t really hurt you much.

It’s not a good thing, but there might be bigger issues to address.

I had a queue pop in-match for me three times in a row yesterday.

People need to realize that a win is a win. There are rules to pvp, such as the 15 minute limit. Winning within those limits is a win. Almost winning within those limits is an almost win, but not a win. If it was 15-minute-30-second pvp, maybe TCG would have won. But it’s not; it’s 15-minute pvp.

Hey there, a few friends and I made a new guild for PvP. We’re mostly looking to have fun and be nice. Yes, that means no kittens, ragequitting, temper tantrums, or trash talk. We are currently a group of 3. We’re looking for people who:

• Want to learn how to PvP
• Just want to fool around in hotjoin
• Want build-testing help/criticism
• Are interested in a fairly casual team for tPvP, maybe getting more competitive if the team takes off

Current play is mostly on weekends and after 10pm CST (GMT-6). If you’re looking for the highest level, official tournament level play right now, this is definitely the wrong place. Next semester (yes, college), available pvp time is expected to increase dramatically.
