And it doesnt matter what he is playing, it doesnt mean anyone can be afk because he only will play with “metabuilduser”.

Crinn didnt mention anything about the afker. Only that he would have more luck in matches (this includes non 4v5s) if he used a better build. Hell he doesnt have to use a meta build but at least use one that makes sense.

But it isnt the topic ? If i discuss about a build and someone is starts to talk about how tasty a bratwurst is makes sence than ?

there have been plenty of arguments for and against listed in this very thread. some people’s opinions are different to yours, but their opinions are just as valid.

And how a mount affect your gameplay if someone else is using it ? It is very easy, dont use it ? For the openworld part there is no argument against. Gw2`s motto is to pick the way you like, why should be with a simple mount a different story.

Node-Acivated, everything else makes no sence.

Rev: Kills you
Necro: Needs time, but he will do
Warri : Power or condi, he will do
Mesmer: can be a long fight if you dodge well and dont gets the moa, if dead
thief: can do, but happens not often, his job is different
guard: nope
Druid: nope
engi: nope

As fresh air its different story, because you dont need to stall on a node or something like, it isnt your job. As fresh air arcane/water/air i can perform good against necros, guards needs loooooooooong time but it is working, thiefs is tricky one, it depends if you land phoenix or not. Warri is also kitish and looooooong. At end as fresh air you need just to much time to end things quick but it is solid.

That guy did that kind of posts in the german forum also to push himself in the pvp scene or whatever his plan was/is. If no one follow his strategy at start he`s going crazy. On top he isnt that good to be top10, not a single time………

I really dont know what your mission is lad, but you wont get any flowers for beeing someone you not will be.

For ppl with 100+ matches and not tanked 12-3 or anything mmr in top ladders. Atm lost s of ppl just play all 3 days 1 match while progress into the ladders is diffcult. Next thing is actutally some smurfs just blocking others out of participation.

I dont see why the current title has more value thn others before. Cant agree with this.

Sound weird mabye, but i had sometimes this problems with starting screen and beeing stucked. I heard the music, but it wasnt loading.

After i restarted my computer, i realized i had a windows update and i believe it was blocking mostly everything and was taking all ressources of my internet connection. After windows upgraded, there was any issue.

Im so glad i left this game.

I don’t understand this outburst. The learning curve and capabilities of each class is different. Anet understands this; it seems most players don’t. I don’t think the OP did. I can understand where the anger emerges if you have a simplistic view of the game or tunnel vision.

Learning curve in this game is by far smaller than most games i played. The problem is just the nobrainer classes gets easier reward for lesser energy you put into. Condi-Mes is best example, if Helseth can win a duel, most of us know how strong the class/build is.

So rev was something between the lines. Great burst, good mobility and weak points also. No real condicleanse, low stunbreaks, a selfpenalty on engerymanagement.

Your damagerota was kinda expensive and u did it good or wrong, you had to stay defensiv after , cuz not much left to react and you forced to blow out your defensiv skills. Your heal against good players is the worst in the game, ofc against guards with the freecardtrap heal is great, but it will be now gamechanging with the lower burst.

I bet revs MU will change dramatically. Warri>Rev , Guard>Rev and i bet with the boost of ele specially with blocks and more Autoattackpower Fresh Air can be pain for you.

If you see it for 5`s, competive in teamQ, well gw2 has no.

I think Anet put it pretty well … if you want to be good at Rev, L2P. If you aren’t good at a class, there are others. You should leave the game if you don’t like it because of your performance.

Yeah ofc, so prepare yourself to bring the new aa rotation on targets. U ever did a well damagerotation ? You know the only way to have even a small chance to pressure a thief ? You know what a rev does in a teamfight ? You lost not something you can compare easy, you cant take another utility.

So,l2p issue because you lost your bread and butter. Have fun if no one needs to dodge PS and can now enjoy to only avoid UA. Now you can outplay rev so easy, but hey, you guy know how to bring it into.

And dont talk about the great job of +1, thiefs job after 13’.

In the current state rev is op as it has insane teamfight (the team with rev in the teamfight is favoured, every time) insane mobility and +1, and on top of that decent 1v1’s. The nerf to staff 5 is justified, it’ll still be rly good as utility, mass cc on stomp/ress and before burst, and it will still do good dmg, it’s just that it was op before. That nerf isn’t half the rev’s dmg, it’s like 5 or 10% total nerf to rev’s damage that was far too superior in the first place. The dmg nerf to precision is also justified. At launch it would be 1 projectile (1v1 and +1), so it will still be twice that dmg.

Ppl get stuck on the raw nerf numbers and ignore the results. If I have value of 5 and u have a value of 20, and you get nerfed by 50% and I get nerfed by 20%, ppl will still QQ about the 50% as if it killed your value compared to mine even tho I’m at 4k and ur at 10k. Rev was ridiculously strong (best class in the game) and the changes are justified, ty.

While I don’t play it a lot, rev is my 2nd. You say I want rev to be nerfed and that I can take the spot in the next meta, then why would I, as you say, defend it and say it will still be meta? I say it will still be meta because I understand the game and don’t just look at a number, 50%, and then think omg! that means we’re 50% worse than every other class QQQQQQQQQQQQ. It’s about 10-15% nerfed dmg (mind u that staff 5 is a utility).

I already made this example,

If every other class has a value of 15k and rev has a a value of 20k, and to be generous, rev gets nerfed 20%. Ppl will still cry about the 20% and go BabyRage about the other classes not getting the same nerf, even tho you’re still at 16k and 1k above the other classes.

The logic of random nonames.

I dont care about your simple arguments. Fact is tht most of you warri mains just bring in every professionsub-forum some points for nerfs and i cant read anything about this objective “proleague” player arguments for your own classes. Specially yours noobindo.

And dont try to tell anyone who you are. You are good, but not tht much tht anybody wants to build a shrine for you. I play in same mmr area like you and faced you alot, like rom and others. So dont be the villageboy. Its a fact tht rev gets hitted hard.

Great changes, but wont change that much playstyle of fresh air. Other viable styles of eles in high competive gameplay i cant see, d/d wont bring the needed sustaine without cele, staff is too slow and can be easy outplayed. Fresh Air is not this bad with the changes but in all, it lacks on mobility to do a good job. What u can do isnt good enough to replace a thief as +1 or even a rev, doesnt matter he got nerfed.

It is the right way, but not enough, we are fixed to focus and exaclty this wont change without deeper analysis and changes.

I also have dc`s in Bitterfrost map and lose my progress everytime. Last 30 mins 5 times.

You can be usefull if you rotate well in teamfights and ppl stop to force you in a bunkerroll.The problem in my opinion is just everyone means its totaly great to isolate you, because you can surive all without pressure(like with clerics or celestial). This times has changed, no more facetank a rev or thief. Pay attention to -1 and all is fine.

I run with menders and i have no problems, not against proleague players or casusal, i try to pick comfortable matchups, try to fit in with my role and make the way free for others. The mix of projectile-hate, cc (love air 5 on focus to break shields) and support is great. I dont need a babysitter against different classes, without a very good rev.

In my opinion the bigger problem is the knowledge of matchups and rotations so far, beside the other problematic of not much vaible other builds.

You have to consider what you bring on the table with a class.

This is what I’ve been trying to grapple with. What does Ele/Tempest bring that is better than any other class?

From what I can tell, nothing.

Support: Druid
Mobility/+1/decap: DD
Damage: Warrior/Mes/Rev
Condi: Necro/Warrior
All-round bruiser: Scrapper

What Ele does is a little bit of everything…which means that if you build to specialize, some other class will be able to play that role better than you, and there is no need to take Ele.

I guess what I’m looking for, before I can start experimenting, is what ROLE should I FUNDAMENTALLY be building for?

Magi Tempest looks promising, but we’ll see; it’s still a healbot. Are there any other roles that we can excel in though?

The whole design of the ele is the problem. The weapons based on hybrids, the amulets not supporting it without losing complete surviability. In teamfights your going to be food by no armor, your hp`s brings nothing. Not much active defence, only the old problem: you have to overheal. Now, with lower stats, higher cds, removed clerics we are forced to play on a wise i cant feel good with it in matches.

The cooldowns long, the only weapon with a strong defence is focus, wash your pain away is crap now. (f2 of a guard does more heal wtf ) The staff is to slow, the damage of it you can counter by 1 simple dodge or just 1 step. Warhorn nothing to say. The d/d variant is not playable because in melee you will feel how fine traps are or scrapper can do. I dont have to tell what a warri will do.

All the solutions end in the same problem you cant face a single metabuild. Run fresh air, but the mobility isnt that good. And if FA, see the target over your head

I run with ele atm. with glyphs (heal glyph good heal by low cd ). Its a paladinbuild.

Stunbreaker, a bit condicleanse, some mobility. Over glyphs ( the stunbreakerglyph is bugged, you can use it in every attunment 1 times, so 4 stunbreaks ) you can stack some protection and horrible effects on enemies. Based on melee, with rune of worm(? dunno english name for it xD ) to get more hp`s by bit more higher critdamage. I give it some more tests, it wasnt so bad, but it isnt that good.

So I made this experimental build because i wondered why we have two new amulets.

Site don’t support new patch so put seeker in amulet place. I found that with new amulets it’s extreamly easy to maintain perma protection. Made build for +1’ing and team figting. No 1v1. Gameplay is similar as Sunshine described zerk Staff. Use GS for rotating faster ( so don’t spam it at start).

Wont work, your condicleanse is to low, your mobility is only working all 180 seconds. Simple as that, what an ele can do, other class will be better at the moment. 1+ builds only working with high mobility and disengage potential, i feel ele is at this point just not made for.

The condition idea is in a spot with burnguard so far, its easy to counter by kite. The toughness is so low, you gets eaten by heavy powerbuilds. There is not much vaible against most played classes/meta.

You have to consider what you bring on the table with a class. Maybe we can run with weird builds, but for competive matches there are not much options.
