My guild has been experimenting with this collection as many people were unlocking it after completing the adventure but were not able to find additional parts afterwards. The other pieces of the collection did not start dropping for them until after the Auric Weapons collection was completed. This makes sense considering the Luminate Backpiece seems like an upgraded version of the backpiece from the Auric Weapons. We think that the collection unlocking after finishing the adventure is the bug and that you’re not eligible for the other rewards until finishing the Auric weapons collection.

My guild experimented with this for an hour or two yesterday. Only the person that interacts with the spot gets credit and the commendation. However, if multiple people interact with it at the same time everyone gets the commendation. This is possible since they don’t instantly disappear. Hope this helps.

You do not. When HoT launched I insta leveled my revenant to 80 and did the personal story with him.

In dungeons and pve Mesmer is far superior to Necro. Mesmer brings a lot more utility where it lacks in straight damage (reflects, groub stability, short stealth, boon transfer in signet of inspiration, portal to skip parts and arguably the best elite skill in the game in time warp). Necro is very greedy as a class. It does not provide many boons to the group nor does it have much in the area of reflects. It does however provide some nice group condition removal which in most groups probably is not necessary but the option is there for some more difficult fights. It does have more straight up damage than the mesmer though.

In WvW and PvP it comes down to playstyle. Mesmer is very unique and has many different builds based on your playstyle. Necro is great at condition builds and can put a ton of conditions on classes at once. It is also a little easier to pick up then Mesmer. All in all though it comes down to playstyle.

If you didn’t complete all TA paths before the Aetherpath was added you have to do that one as one of the four. It replaced the most annoying TA path imo. I don’t miss you Vevina and spider tree.

FotM have been changed in the way how level progression works, and if I udnerstand right, you have been set back to level 30. This is due to the introduction of ascended gear. I’m not a big FotM player, so I can’t say how much AR you need for level 30+ content and if you can manage that with your current gear.

Scarlet placed probes around the world to search for ley-lines. They had the additional effect that it woke a giant three headed wurm in blood tide coast. This is a world boss event off the same difficulty level as Tequatl.

On top off that she developped a mass destruction weapon wich she tested in Lornar pass.

Using Scarlets diary and her holo recordings, and going through all other evidence we deducted that something or someone is controlling scarlet, like a second personality in her head (bit like gollem/smeagol) and that her next target is Lion’s Arch.

Always drops first. They can be salvaged even after they’ve been used, so nothing is lost by hanging onto them a bit longer.

A set of greens every 10 levels does not amount to very big expense. Green is enough to get by on normal circumstances. Always check the drops first though, if they are close to the level it is not necessary to buy new ones immediately.

^^This. Green gear is perfectly fine while progressing through the game while leveling. I buy some every 10 levels as well. Sooner if I run into a section I can’t complete and I also equip gear I find if it’s better. If you purchase gear from the TP you can also choose the stat combination you want.

Any class can be useful in all types of content if you’re good at that class. That being said, some classes by default are better than others at certain content. For example, guardian mesmer and warrior are extremely good in dungeon groups because of the mix of damage and utility that they offer. Does that mean that the other classes are bad? No, they just offer less raw DPS and make fights slightly longer. Only speedrunners care about your class.

Any class can be built any way. Your character’s gear type will be the biggest factor in determining their playstyle. The reason I say this is because I main ele. In WvW and zerging in PVE I run glass cannon staff. In sPVP and when I want to skirmish in WvW I use d/d and run with toughness vitality gear and go for longer battles where I outlast my opponent with ridiculous healing and condition removal. This is just an example of one class. The playstyle of each class will most likely change depending on your armor stats and the weapons you choose to use. Obviously I’m a bit biased towards the ele, but I have and 80 of all chars but ranger (40) and engi (2) and I can help you pick a class if you want.

Due to school and the release of other recent games I stopped playing GW2 entirely. I think that I want to get back into playing, so I logged in last night and I felt extemely lost. Is it worth it to get back in to playing (i.e. am I still geared enough to do content if I was able to do FOTM 40+ with my chars before) What have I missed in terms of living story, balance changes, etc? I stopped playing around the release of rewarked teq, Scarlet’s map invasions, cursed shore champ ember farming. Not sure which of those came last.

I agree that the rewards in sab should not be timegated. However, since they are Anet should have changed the prices of the skins to 25 or so. Also, if you have played tribulation mode and can complete it in a reasonable amount of time, you can get 6 more bauble bubbles from bosses and you get around 500 baubles from completing zones 1 and 2. Not sure if you get the reward from the mini game twice in a day, but if you do that then you can get about 16 bauble bubbles a day for a skin.

I figured as much. I’ll just live in regret for not purchasing it at the time. Thank you for the responses.

anyone have any insight?

I know that the old super skins are not coming back, but all of them except the super backpack cover are available to purchase from the trading post even if you did not participate in the first super adventure box. I am trying to make each of my characters themed with a different color set of weapons from the super adventure box. I participated in March or April whenever it came out the first time and apparently I should have bought one. Is it possible that this skin will come back so I can complete my characters or am I sol?
