So, I bought a molten pick for my norn, who earlier this year I killed off in favour of a free character slot. RIP.

Before he slipped on into the mists, he left this pick in the bank as a fatal reminder of his legend. To this day it lays there, against the hammer space wall, dormant.

And I know, I know what ‘soulbound’ means. Since it’s bound to my dead character I won’t be able to drop it in any of my current character’s inventories. I just figured since now unlimi-gatherers are account bound, I can use it on other characters…?

I think Divinity Reach defenses got a little problem: Do you remember the vista at the giant hole in one of the districts? At this part the wall got a huge gap there.

How about an above-average, semi ad-libbed-comedy series about a charr, an asura and a creepy sylvari travellin’ their way across Tyria? First season is wrapped up, there are 16 episodes so far!

Even if the devs are somehow planning Cantha, they probably wouldn’t say anything about it, especially not here (as much as I’d love more dev comments). I’d say that a fair show of faith if the cultural issue did turn out to be mere rumours would be reinstating the Canthan district in DV, perhaps over time.
(Even if it is still a problem… I just want my Cantha district :| the hole is just too depressing to look at)

The whole reason that conversation is put in the game is to reinforce the norn flavor that Anet has built around the norns regarding their women being equal to men. In that context, its pretty ironic that they have to cop-out, reinforcing RL social norms and gender roles when it comes to norn aesthetics by making the women look like barbie next to the hulk. Its an old, and frankly tired, double standard.

This pretty much hits the nail on the head, especially in making humans in any game. Auto-makeup implies that “this is what women look like!” when they really under all the gloss, they don’t. They look normal, they look like people. GW2 is only showing a reflection of culture, but still…

I agree, femnorns needed more options in the rugged department. You can argue that you want a ‘hot babe’ or whatever, but that’s kind of another peeve I have with the norn.

They’re just a slightly different flavour of human being presented as another race.

The world of Guild Wars is just missing something without an explorable Cantha AND Elona.

They don’t need to be here tomorrow, but we do need to know they are coming.

They’re in the lore, they’re loved by fans, they make the game world more of a diverse world. Without them, its like the game world has two giant holes in it.

Like the hole they dropped on Divinity’s Reach…
Which still makes me kinda sad to this day.

Trahearne was absolutely necessary, the writers hit the spot in that regard.

The actual execution was flawed. No arc, no fall or rise, no memorable moment and wooden voice acting. Previous mentors occasionally had the grace to perform an ultimate sacrifice, earning them a little noble cred.

Though, even if these things had been fixed and if the devs had the time/resources to polish him up (there’s only so much of it), some people insist on being the grandmaster gloryhound general to the end anyway, there’s no way around that. I like the freedom Trehearne allows us to keep personally.

I have a feeling that Cantha will return, but in a good many years, possibly as a grand finale.
Hopefully not though. Like many on here, Cantha brought me into the series and has a special place in my heart of hearts.

Medium Cultural T2 Wrangler armour

Armour texture issue.

Specifically the leggings. There’s a gash on the waist where it would usually be hidden under the rest of the armour set. I got this by trying to mix different charr cultural armours. Sorry about using the preview box, it’s a little harder to see there.

Hey thanks for the feedback! Yeah, we’re still figuring out the script-to-ad-lib ratio. We’re aiming for the series to be semi-story driven at least, as all best adventures are!
