Hi, since you are new and would be low on gold/silver. Not sure if you already know this. Make use of the WvW options such as going to Obsidian Sanctum to get to Lions Arch. You’ll save a fair bit of silver that way.

I would be I heard it takes a few hours just to join a WvW event, and I’m in AIT for the army, so I don’t have hours of free time. I’m lucky if I get an hour a day for free time :/

Don’t try to trade directly with other players, use the Trading Post. Yes, it has fees to it, but it’s the only safe way to trade in this game. If you get scammed and report it, the scammer may be punished, but you will NOT get your money/items back. EVER.

Any emails you get in-game that say they’re from another player are just that. No matter what the text of the message may say, it’s not from ANet and don’t follow any links they may give.

Get in the habit of using food/consumable buffs. Even the cheap ones can give bonus EXP, and that adds up.

I got my cooking up to lvl 36 and all the food gives some xp boosts which is awesome

This is one of my most favorite things to do I’ve been trying to get 100% in the area, but idk how to tell how far you are in it :/

I just started playing a few days ago, and I’ve been in love with the game. I’ve played it most of my free time, though sadly isn’t more than about an hour a day (AIT student in the Army)

I’m just wondering if anyone has some tips, tricks, or some general information they’d like to share with me to help me get started. I’m level 17, so I know about the basics and stuff like that.
