Hmm.. alrighty thanks for the input guys
Hi fellow Engineers, I was messing with my flamer and noticed that when I free-pane run and fire at the same time, the angle of the flamethrower makes it shoot into the ground as opposed to in front of you, making it very difficult to shoot invisible/trash mob/etc targets in front. Does anyone have a similar problem?
Caveat: Holding my right mouse button allows me to to freely pane around and change whichever direction I want my character wants to face.
Comparison:
Situation 1: Flame jet fires in front normally
-No enemy targeted.
-Character not moving.
-Right Click held for free-paning.
Situation 2: Flame jet fires into the ground
-No enemy targeted.
-Character Firing while moving.
-Right Click held for free-paning.
In both screenshots the camera angles are pretty much identical, but I can barely hit anything that is supposedly within the outer reaches of flame jet’s range if I fire while moving. This results in a rather significant loss of range.
To fire in front normally while moving, I have to move my camera angle to almost first person height (relatively parallel to the ground), which results in my character blocking the view of the enemy i’m free-firing at. Was this an intended change? And if so, why?
P.S. Before anyone mentions I shouldn’t be using the flamer AA anyway, this affects instances such as clearing the volatile blossoms in TA explorable.
