Well… that guardian shout would be annoying as hell.
Not only is the helmet not available, the shoulders too are out of players’ grasp.
Oh didn’t even notice them at first! Thanks for pointing that out, now I want those too!
I’ll agree with the not-boring contingent. It doesn’t have sparklers and rainbows and massive protrusions and whirling gears? EVEN BETTER. It looks real.
I’d rather not have the dev’s time wasted with unrealistic tackily overdone sfx helms …
… except it’s not wasted if players like it. Which many would on the nicely detailed practical helms as well. Stop with the “I don’t like it so no one can have it” arguments already!
I agree!
Flamekissed was complained about due to being reskinned/the light armor being human cultural T3 (which was why it was changed), this helmet wouldn’t be a reskin if it didn’t exist in the game prior for players to use.
The rest is subjective “I think it’s bad” which is all fine for an opinion, but it doesn’t trump the opinion someone else has of “I like this and would use it if it were available.” Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean Anet would be wasting their time making it available for people who would want it.
I agree again!
Hm, I think THQ did something like this with Darksiders 2. A competition where you could do a 2D or 3D rendering of a weapon of a particular kind, which would later be included with the final version of the game.
Similar competitions in conjunction with Living Story would be really fun. Though it would surely require some big effort from ArenaNet, both when it comes to marketing and actual implementation of the winners concept.
But an interesting idea, nonetheless!
why, just looks like the scaled helmet, its boring imo and im sure many agree
1.) It’s not the scaled helmet. I know my GW2 armor, and that’s not it.
2.) I couldn’t care less if you think it’s boring. I like the helmet personally, and I’m sure many would agree. (See what I did there?)
3.) Helmets are among the easier armor parts to skin to characters, and since the actual model is already in-game, it wouldn’t take that much effort to make it available for the players as a purchasable skin maybe. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. Easy-peasy.
Has anyone ever noticed that, as the title says, the Siege Master Asura in WvW has a helmet skin on his head that isn’t available to us, the players?
I’ve tried to search the forums to see if anyone has brought this up before, but to no avial. So… this is my plea to ArenaNet: Please make that helmet skin available for players too!
My only question is: What will this do to skill-lag?
Otherwise, on paper, it sound like a good idea.
When I saw the title of this I first thought that it was about the bobbleheads being unrealistic. So I laughed hard at the thought that someone would really point that out.
Just needed to say that.
On-topic: Fully agree.
People are way too sensitive nowadays.
Why are people so quick to complain? It’s not even for the whole day it seems, judging from the comments about it being gone when relogging. Glad I’m not a dev, having to take skritt like this when I want to do is give the players a bit of fun. If your little RP fantasy wkittentered for a moment there, just take it for what it is and restart the game.
Personally I find it both fabulous and hilarious, especially love that all the walking NPCs have that awkward “up-the-sky” look! Haha I think I had a minor stroke because of all the laughing, that kind of odd humor is right up my alley! Thanks Anet, you just made my day a fair bit brighter and happier!
the constant updates and patches regarding classes, their skills, traits and so on; Everything contributing to the overall balance of the game.
It’s a trifle odd to see someone posting about constant balance updates, while I’m also seeing posts about how seldom ANet offers balance updates. Remember, it will have been 5 months since the last one when the Apr 15 patch arrives.
Hm, maybe constantly is the wrong word here. If I had written frequently then that would be a blatant lie or even delusional. Continously may be a better choice of wording in this case.
English is not my first language so if I confuse you, you’re more than welcome to ask me to clarify, or correct me.
I was not trying to correct you so much as commenting on the irony of one poster thinking that balance updates come too often while others think they don’t come often enough. I see now that the issue was in choice of word, not meaning. At a guess, perhaps you mean “never-ending?” Game balance updates in an MMO are always going to come sooner or later unless the game is on life support, but frequency varies by game.
Yeah, never-ending may be the best word describing what I mean.
I of course wish GW2 to keep it’s playerbase, keep being an active game, or else I wouldn’t bother posting in its forums. And for that to be so, the game needs to be updated and cared about by the devs, so yeah… balancing, though not very regular in GW2, sure is inevitable.
I think that I’ve personally come to the conclusion that I shouldn’t worry too much, just keeping playing the game for what I love about it and sooner or later I’ll get my ascended gear. If my build sucks at that time, I’ll just swap it out with some exotics until that time that my gear is considered viable again.
To sum it up, it may not be as much of an issue as I first considered it to be, at least for myself. But as said before, without any “scientific” goals or purposes, it would still be interesting what people though about this. And not, you know, deliberately derail the thread with off-topic discussion. Like some “geniuses”.

My personal opinion on the matter is that as long as you can be sure that what you’re grinding for will be useful, grinding in and of itself can be OK. I don’t enjoy grinding, and consider it being one of the worst offenders of fun gameplay within games, but as said… it can be OK.
Though I worry that, with balance patches, nerfs, FotM-builds and maybe even level- and tier-raising, players can never be confident that their hard-earned gear will be just that; worth the effort. The only scenario that I could think of that would work with the current system is if the game came to a “perfect balance”, never to be patched again. But this is of course nothing but an impossible dream, and hence my creation of this thread.
I could be wrong, of course, and my hope for this thread is for it to become fuel to a good, constructive discussion that may lead to some awesome suggestions from our community members. If that will be the case, I sure hope ArenaNet listens and considers one or several solutions. If anyone considers this a problem at all, that is.
This is not by any means a unique problem with GW2, but as I’m mainly a GW2 player I’ll still bring my concerns up here. Try to read this not as whining (though maybe it is, anyway), but instead as a topic of discussion and contemplation. Read it as a question, and think: “Do I know the answer, or am I also wondering?”
That is, as the title should explain, the constant updates and patches regarding classes, their skills, traits and so on; Everything contributing to the overall balance of the game.
What concerns me personally in this matter, even though I’m not a Min-Max kind of player by any stretch of the imagination, is that I still want to feel useful. I consider myself a mix of WvW/PvE player, but this may apply to all content in the game and all kinds of players.
I also think I play more than the average casual player, but I also play somewhat casually, I guess. So I try to focus on my warrior, as it was my first character, when it comes to gearing. I don’t have the time nor the drive to equip all my characters with full ascended. Just equipping my one warrior in full ascended, infused and all, would be a huge undertaking for me, and I would guess for many more players around the globe also.
What I’ve noticed during the latest 5-6 months though, is that my usefullness goes up and down like a jojo, and I’m talking both WvW and PvE here. I’ve personally chosen not to go full zerker, instead taking hammer, soldier runes and shouts with more focus on survivability and support than anything else. But I’m afraid that when I stand there, fully decked out in ascended gear, that my character will… well, suck. That everywhere I go, my build will not be functional and viable, except maybe in zombie-brained CoF runs.
And why is that? Well, because many build besides than zerker are already deemed useless, and if a nerf would to hit, it may hit too hard for these builds to recover. Should zerkers be the only ones feeling comfort on the thought that the grind and expense they pay for the best available gear will be worth it? Should people who don’t like that playstyle, and want to play something else, have to worry that all that time and money wasn’t wasted because of a nerf, making their spec total garbage that will only work as feed in the mists, or annyoance in a dungeon run.
Well, the motivation for crafting and acquiring ascended may, with these concerns in mind, hit rock bottom. And that sense of accomplishment, that sense of ‘being on top’, may never be fully realized.
Is this over-analyzing, over-complicating, can this be considered a real problem, and if so; what is the root of it and can it be fixed?
TL;DR
Class balancing and nerfs may discourage players from investing time and money into Ascended gear of fear that a future patch will make their build (at least gear-wise) obsolete. Is this a problem, what’s causing it and can it be solved? Or isn’kitten problem, in that case why and what should players who may consider it a problem do and/or think to stop worrying?
Discuss.
PS. For moderators: The reason I put this in the general forums and not in Profession Balance is that I’m not after a discussion on the balance, rather it’s about the consequences it brings to other parts of the game.

Quality >>>>>>>>>> Quantity.
And your suggestion is purely about quantity, imho.
Have you ever heard about that Norn thief?
…
Q: What is another name for a vegetarian sylvari?
A: Cannibal.
But honestly, if you’re going to throw your artistic integrity out the window to provide pervservice (I refuse to call to call it fanservice) like the Aion developers, you might as well go all the way. Kudos to scarlet blade for making tasteless porn and admitting that’s what it is, instead of trying finagle something just short of porn and push it on people as art.
Oh yeah, there are quite a few mmo’s out there which main feature seems to be ‘sexiness’. Funny thing is, only female characters are ‘allowed’ (I laughed in silent sarcasm in my head there) to be sexy.
Well well, I don’t want to get into that discussion again, and if I keep talking about it I’m bound to end up in a skimpy-armor flame war, alone against 10+
pervspeople. You know guys, I’m playing MMOs to look at pretty things, and not same dull grey metal, dusty bricks and fat bistro workers.
And also, you know what? Imagination is what makes us different from animals; this is what makes us percept fanservice as a sort of art which specializes on creatively emphasizing women’s beauty instead of treating her as a brute source of reproductive instinct. Take a careful look at the pictures which OP has posted and tell me what exactly makes this slick and elegant artstyle – made attractive for both females and males – a “pervservice” ©. If you still see them as only a thing which a pervert would like – then sorry, but I believe that the perverts’ art tastes are superior to the straightforward animal vulgarity of people who deny any kind of creativity in depicting women’s clothes and instead prefer them either fully dressed or fully undressed during all the respective activities assigned to her by nature itself.
See… too bad all of that, even if released, will be in the gem store, or gem store related.
:(800 gems * 8g per 100 gems = 64g. Which is 3 times less than 180g per a Tier 3 Cultural.
The only thing creative here was this post trying to excuse sexist character design. Well done, you almost succeeded in trying to make it sound sensible. Which, no matter how you try to put it, objectification of women is not. You only show how skewed and affected your view on women has become by our societys sick depiction of women is if you think that stuff like this is ‘beauty’. It’s sexy, sure. And there’s nothing wrong with sexy. But does a woman always have to be ‘sexified’ in order to feel beautiful? Because that is surely the case now.
I’m a male heterosexual though. And even though I like the female body as much as the next hetero man, I’m getting tired of getting it exposed to me everywhere I look. That, if something, leaves nothing to that imagination you talked about.
Now as said. I’m too tired of flame wars and the risks of getting into stupid effing discussions about this subject, so I may reply once or twice after this… but I’d rather not.
Good night.
PS. The excuse “I want to look at pretty things” doesn’t hold up here. Then allow female gamers to do that also, or get a girlfriend. The real stuff is way better anyway.
Maybe I was just too tired when I tested the beta, but I couldn’t get into the game at all. It made me almost dizzy and nauseous because of all the visual clutter.
No, until I’ve tried more of ESO and decided on it, Guild Wars 2 will remain my only mmo even though I’m not very active anymore. Something about GW2 just keeps pulling me in.
All this talk about overhauls has convinced me that this subject is doomed, and therefore GW2 is doomed to be a dps-only game.
GG.
I’m all for this. No reason what so ever not to support this idea.
Dps and CC could work in such a beautiful symbiosis, so easily if Anet just had the will to change boss mechanics.
Give all bosses a stance of some sort that can only go away with CC, and when it’s down momentarily it’s time for the dps:ing.
That way, zerker is no longer the only viable option, CC becomes useful, coordination and timing becomes key, it encourages diverse grouping and last but not least: boss fights become fun and involve skill.
EDIT: ^Above post would work well in combination with my suggestion too.

Tyria is a big place, and should therefore feel big. And the fog is definitely not helping in making it so.. too bad really. GW2 has some of the most immersive, awe-inspiring, detailed and believable areas I’ve seen in not only a mmorpg, but even when compared to some single-player games. It would be really nice to be able to see all of it.
There are actually quite a few issues with this- the camera, the game’s blurriness unless supersampled, the fog, etc. Really quite a shame, although it is quite beautiful, even with the issues.
True, the blur being another major visual problem for me personally. I’ve turned of AA, and for a while Depth Blur too, but it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference. Don’t really know what’s causing it, it’s like a weird haze laying on top of the screen. Maybe some post-processing fullscreen effect, like color-correction?
Took these quite a while ago, but I’m sort of happy with most of them still (WARNING: Lots of images incoming):
I can’t believe the things people complain about… still:
I think you miss a vital point here. Small, but vital.
We’re not killing the actual players. We’re ‘killing’ their characters- digital robots made up of ones and zeros.
Actually, we don’t really ‘kill’ them at all. Firstly, how can you kill something which is not alive? Secondly, we all respawn. We can’t do that IRL. In games, we can. And even if GW2 was perma-death, above points still stand.
Besides, what are you gonna do? Censor every way people themselves choose to communicate? Good luck with that.

You sure that is max setting? ( though I agree on the distance rendering )
my max setting looks a lil different..
Hm, are you sure you don’t run SweetFX or something? You seem to have some over-saturation, under-exposure and grain going on, or maybe that’s your gamma settings?
If yours looks any better, please post a screen shot. If so, I could only assume something has gone horribly wrong with my video settings.
And I would say the blue fog is part of the problem. It fades into abyss far too soon. I know for a fact that I could render 4 times this and still be at a smooth 60 FPS. I just think there is a lot of wasted potential considering how beautiful the game is.
Ha, stupid me, saw now that you indeed mentioned the fog in the main post. I would also really like to be able to see further without that annoying fog blocking my view, as I remember when playing PWI some ears ago. Maybe I remember it wrong, but I remember being able to see quite far into the distance in that game.
But this might pose a problem in WvW, as it would maybe be a bit unfair that only a selected few could see so far into the distance. I don’t know, maybe that’s not a problem though.
Will post a screen soon!
I’m not sure (could be wrong), but I believe they have a separate setting for character draw distance. If not, I’m sure they could make one. However, wouldn’t that already be an issue for players set at the lowest render distance compared to the highest?
That’s why wasn’t sure if that was even a problem, because higher draw distance on terrain only wouldn’t really give an advantage. And now when discussing it, I think I’m sure that characters are rendered separately. And as you say, that advantage would already exist in that case.
Also, my draw distance is the same so I must’ve remembered it wrong:

Personally Im a particle sucker, and I like big, unrealistic, imposing shoulder pads. Why? No idea, but I do, been like that for years. Right now radiant set is my perfect armor, I already have everything but the boots, and i dont like how thye are for 21k AP when im still at 10k, kinda very unrealistic.
I also love above all; detailed armors. By that I mean armor that have intricate patterns into it, such as human heavy t3, or heavy armor from CoE, or the aptterns on the radiant back part of the shoulder pad.
Examples of what i mean by intricate patterns on golden shiny armors, without having to fall in the unrealistic particle shoulders that I also like: (This is also from GW1, from Prophecies, Rhaegar Lannister, an NPC)

That’s exactly the type of stuff I was talking about earlier! Nice. As said, this would make armor look detailed and royal without making it too fantastical.
Good gosh no, Aion has some of the worst visual design ever, and I don’t just mean ‘ever in an MMO’ I mean ever, period.
I’d like to direct you towards a little game known as Scarlet Blade.
That entire game is a disgrace.
Woah, I could swear that I’ve stood on that exact spot and not had such an empty vista! But if you say you play in max settings then I take your word for it, gotta start GW2 up myself and check in any case to be able to say anything about it.
Btw, are you talking about LOD only or is the fog included in the problem?
Step 1: add craftable pre-cursors or pre-cursor scavenger hunt
Step 2: put one of the parts needed in the Nageling giant’s loot table
Step 3: “Is the giant up yet?” “Everyone keeps asking that! Be patient!”
Best suggestion ever regarding the problem of abandoned areas. +1
Say what? That champ is one of the easiest to solo and has always been, just that it takes a little time and is boring as hell. But such is the way of mmorpgs.
I agree with the OP..
The armors in Guildwars 2 really don’t look good at all..
Al lot of the armors actually look the same and even the ‘’high end’’ armors aren’t looking ‘’high end-ish’’.The costumes in the gemstore aren’t very pretty either (male or female). I would not buy them.
I love playing MMOs and investing time/money in how my character looks.. I try to make them look as beautiful/wicked as possible, but GW2 does not let me do that.
I play another game alongside GW2 and the armor I obtained there yesterday is just gorgious.
No offense but… if you’re happy with Tera, then play that? This time I don’t mean that as something mean, just that you seem to have found a game you like aesthetically. So can’t you people leave at least one game to those who don’t like AION/Tera-style aesthetics?
Because our other options are like… Age of Conan or Mortal Online. And if you’ve played them, then you should know why many people avoid those games.
Well the costumes of TERA is only ONE thing I like about the game. This discussion is about the costumes/armors design, not about the rest of the game. So I am pointing out that I would like to see more of TERA/Aion’s costume/armor designs in GW2.
This has absolutely nothing to do with the other aspects of neither GW2, Tera or Aion.
I would argue that it does tie in with other aspects of the game, like gameplay mechanics, graphics quality, features and so on. Because sure, it’s a matter of choice depending on personal taste, but even if a game would have what I consider really awesome gear design, I wouldn’t play it if it was a bad game. Gameplay first, ya know.
And here then comes the problem. There are so many mmorpgs out there adapted for those who won’t/can’t pay a monthly fee. So many mmorpgs, and each one with different (well, at least somewhat) gameplay mechanics. But a vast majority of those are Korean/have a distinct asian art-style, which leaves a lot of options for those who like that style.
Those who don’t, those who like more medieval-rooted, western fantasy and not over-the-top type of aesthetics, don’t have anywhere near as many choices, but GW2 fills a nice part of that demand.
I realize my “arguments” are very subjective and therefore may not have much impact or value, but this is a very subjective discussion so… yeah.
Well… I guess one game’s coming out that seems to be to my and my fellow “realist-aestheticians” tastes: ESO. Though that comes with a monthly fee.

Realism aside, I don’t want stuff like Phalanx (and many, many other sets) happen again. I saw this particular set on a male char first, them I previewed it on my human guardian – what a disappointment that was. Or heavy OoW, which looks completely awesome on dudes, gets ridiculous boob windows on females.
That i completely agree with. One of my biggest gripes with mmorpgs overall is the unnecessary armor dimporphism between genders. I love the Phalanx set on males, but that the female version was so vastly different and not even resembling the heavy plate armor of the male version was a disgrace. Fan-service, sure. But there are too many armor sets in gaming that makes female characters look like strippers rather than fighters.
Here are some examples on what types of armor I personally think looks “high-level” without being over-the-top.
One could take it a step further and add some glowy bits to it to make it look more magical or something, but that can be done through subtle glow in the ornaments or glowing stones and jewels set in the plate, like in the third picture where the middle of the chest could have a glowing ruby or something.
Keep in consideration that these examples are best applied to heavy armor, as I mainly play war and guard. But the same design philosophy could be used when making light and medium armor types. Though I really want to congratulate whoever designed the light Acolyte/Named armor. Even though I don’t play a light class, that is easily the best looking armor in GW2. Good god, I could almost begin playing a light class just to be able to dress my character in that awesome piece of equipment!
Well, well, I get a bit hot-headed when people don’t read into what I’m trying to say in my posts and instead just blatantly reply with something “witty” so it was probably for the best anyway.
I admit I did not fully read into what you posted. I apologize.
Thanks, and as I said: I get hot-headed easily, for which I also apologize.

Defiance may be one of the worst things about PvE. I’d like to be able to use more skills than just dodging. Timing your attacks and spotting weaknesses in the middle of a fight is exciting. Standing there auto-attacking and sometimes moving/dodging out of red rings is boring.
But Anet has proven that they are capable of making interesting fights. E.g. Toxic Alliance Knights can dodge, which has actually sometimes caused me to miss a knockdown or stun.
Also, the last fight against giant holo scarlet had some interesting mechanics with requirements before you even could damage the boss. More stuff like that Anet!
Oh god please no. GW2 is influenced by typical rubbish Korean design enough as it is, I would loathe even to think of more of that. Because, honestly, there are plenty of games out there for you to choose from who give you these types of armor design, but very few with a more “realistic” approach to armor design. So please for gods sake, leave GW2 alone. If anything, more heavy armor sets should look like Phalanx, Ascalonian or Human Cultural Tier 1, i.e. more medieval knight/soldier inspired.
Though one thing I hate in GW2 are the helmets… I love me a cool looking helmet, but only Phalanx and Dark fit my personal taste at least.
Realistic armor is mostly ordinary. And ordinary armor is boring.
Armors must be complex, special and have lots of glowing bits!Ugh, please. Go play WoW then or something.
Go play dragon age origins if you want ordinary and boring armors.
You dont need ridiculous sized shoulder armour or glowy bits for armour to be attractive or none plain. Maybe this game should take its own route instead of copying styles already used in many cartoony mmo’s.
I find it funny that people automatically assume I want huge shoulders.
In the end it’s a matter of personal taste. The armor below is a good example of what I like.
It looks like it was made by a master smith, not your average craftsman. And that’s fine. I consider that armor somewhat good-looking too. But there are good ways of making armor stand out without adding floating bits, glow, fire and spikes. I wish that for once in my MMORPG-playing gamership, a game could draw the line somewhere reasonable and stay in the ‘western’ part of fantasy.
This quote seems to be a bit messed up and i cant tell who said the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs :/
Was the post deleted?
EDIT* the parts mentioned have now changed to the 1st and 2nd paragraphs
Anyway i think we agree on what looks good, it seems we both might like the same style of stuff
Yeah, I was a bit harsh to the guy so a mod deleted my post, maybe that’s what screwing up the quote. Well, well, I get a bit hot-headed when people don’t read into what I’m trying to say in my posts and instead just blatantly reply with something “witty” so it was probably for the best anyway.
I like GW2 in so many ways, but I’m a very visual person and therefore is attracted to cosmetics more than anything else in games. And as I really despise the “typical Korean” look, I would personally be greatly disappointed if the artstyle went towards that. I mean, those of you that like that kind of armor have soooo many games to chose from. The rest of us don’t, unless we want to go back to tab-target or 1998 graphics.
I would love to play a ranger. Medium armor and GS + Longbow, how awesome isn’t that setup? Like born to be a headhunter who could even compete with Thieves regarding stalking and assassinations.
But then there’s this HUGE design flaw. A design flaw that goes down to the core of the class and rots its very foundations: The Godforsaken Fudging Pet.
A-net should have swallowed their pretentious pride in trying to make a ‘unique’ class and just gone for what works: An Archer Class. A class that does not need to rely on stupid AI and bad control mechanics. A class that can take care of it-kittening-self.
How ironic, my Ranger currently uses Greatsword/Longbow (or Shortbow), has a helpful pet, and doesn’t need anyone to look after her. In short, your hate of the Profession is not shared by all.
You can still use your Ranger as an archer if you like anyway. Isn’t that many people’s common complaint about “Ranger players”? That “they” like their bow too much?
(I personally don’t care if you use a bow or not, however. I like bows too. But I am glad Rangers weren’t forced to be the Archer archetype only, for there is more to Rangers than arrows.)
No offense intended-just as an example of how much of a myth this “Ranger sucks, I hate them, the pet is horrible!” statement can be.
No offense taken, you clearly like the class and has l2p it. I for one like archer classes, but even if I wanted to learn how to use pets properly I would loathe the idea of being “forced” to. I like the suggestion that someone here made that the ranger could get some personal stat bonus when stowing the pet. This would work wonders if rangers had the choice to stow the pet permanently. But I guess the trait system kinda sometimes forces you to still have a pet available in combat.

“realistic” approach to armor design.*
Really? lol
The size of shoulder armour and some of the gloves and you think that is realistic?
With the human cult t1 armour you can tell that has been made a lot bigger, just look at the curved bit where the arm comes through.
Basically Id just like a lot more choice for armour (and weapons) there does seem to be a very limited amount compared to most mmo’s.
No, I didn’t say realistic. I said “realistic”, i.e. within quotation marks with which I tried to imply a vague meaning, or make a substitute for the word “somewhat”. Because no, GW2 is not realistic. But it’t generally a little bit more grounded in realistic materials and designs than, say, WoW or TERA.

Ugh, please. Go play WoW then or something. You CAN make armor look good without having spikes all over it poking into your head as soon as your characters just shudders a little. It’s all relative to what exist in the rest of the game and it setting. More intricate ornaments, cloth hanging from the shoulders or crotch, chains, sigils and medals decorating your character… the list is long. And all this, without making everything an over-the-top rave-fest at a gaybar in New Orleans during Mardi Gras.
Oh, and for everyone else… I was talking about heavy armor because that’s mostly my preference. And as I said, there are already some armors with waay too exaggerated pieces, so I agree with you on that specific point.

I’m somewhat ambivalent when it comes to the gemstore, because on one hand I really want ArenaNet to be able to get good money from the game. On the other hand I can’t help but resent everything that forces or lures you into using the cash shop, especially as the dye system is a free one now. You can’t take features that have become somewhat core to the game and hide them behind a paywall.
C’mon Anet, I want to support you but not this way. I’ve bought some armor skins of the gemstore and that’s a good, simple way of doing stuff. But hiding stuff in RNG chests and making players gamble? No thank you, the line has to be drawn somewhere.
I suspect of course that NC-Soft are the ones pulling the economical strings from above, demanding more monetary gain… but kitten . Dissolve the contract already, NC-Soft doesn’t care for feces about the game, especially now that Wildstar is to come out soon. I want to spend money on GW2, not AION. Not Blade & Soul. Not Wildstar. I play Guild Wars 2, and therefore care about nothing else than Guild Wars 2.
Thx, bai.

They still haven’t added these shoulder pieces. And Ellen Kiel has been around a while now…
