Hey so, I was in this match and this computer controlled animal ate my face, and there wasn’t one thing I could do about it, please nerf them back into non-threatening status
THANK-YOU for this topic. And thank you Jon, for all the responses and some fixes to the pets. I would hate to flood with with requests/questions/concerns, but I feel now is a good time.
A question: I personally think one of the biggest faults for ranger end-game PvE is the survivability of the pet in dungeons (specifically, AoE mechanics, groups of mobs one shotting the pet, etc.) Does the balance team see this as a problem, or is it intended? I feel since the pet is responsible for a sizeable chunk of our DPS, it should perhaps have AoE damage mitigation to help them stay alive in instances where they aren’t specifically targeted.
I am just wondering that if the team sees this as an issue, if there are any future plans to implement perhaps a talent or passive trait to pets allowing more dungeon survivability, somehow.
Thank you for your continued work on the Ranger, my favorite class!!
I can attest to this build’s usefulness. It’s fantastic!!
While the videos were funny, nldixon is right…not very realistic as far as real performance. I used the sPvP build he posted a while ago and am happy to say that I ENJOY (Yes….Enjoy) sPvP on my ranger. I can’t comment on tournies, I don’t do those often. This is coming from a player who played backstab thief since beta and hates, hates, hates to be outplayed. Yes, ranger is fun in sPvP, if you know how to play and counter common classes (er hm…Backstab thief)
That being said, as everyone in this thread can agree on, there ARE issues with the ranger class, but they do NOT make or break the game. I enjoy my ranger tons more than I do any other class, despite the issues, which I’m sure will be fixed in due time.
I wonder what two rangers facing off at range while doing this dance would look like. Hahaha.
