Engineer – Easiest. Keep your range, they’re pretty easy to proc halting strike on, and if they are line of sighting you remember you can knock back with GS 5 through line of sight to get more distance when you come around the corner.

I thought this was kind of weird. Do other mesmers think engi is easiest to beat?

Mes range advantage isn’t so significant with rifle, nades and magnet. A lot of engis damage from condis which are so easily applied and most mes builds have such little condi removal.

Having half my matches be against premades makes me very disinterested in playing. They should be forced to play ranked or something.

Confusing Enchantments: Glamour skills now deal direct damage to foes who enter or exit their areas instead of applying confusion. (tagging issue fixed)

Phantasmal Disenchanter: Cast time reduced to 1/4 second.

Time Warp: CD reduced. Was never fixed after quickness nerf which wasn’t targeted at mesmers.

Arcane Thievery: CD reduced.

(Not so little) Confusing Cry: Now removes a condition for each illusion shattered with Cry of Frustration instead of granting retaliation.

This is only a solo-er perspective.

Mesmers weak condition removal options have been holding it back for so long. The best defence against condition builds is to burst them before they can get damage off, but in this sustain meta it’s a bit impossible. Also it’s partially because celestial stats are too high and need to be shaved, particularly the defensive stats.

Having confusing cry trait remove conditions instead of its current useless state would tone down shatter-build damage a little and make shatter mesmers far more playable solo.

No… People have been taking bunker teams since launch, long before the sigil changes.

S/d damage isn’t too high compared to other zerk specs. It’s their damage:defense ratio that’s off. Their extreme mobility and high evade time is too much. Removing air/fire to nerf sd is silly because it effects every class.

Fire/air is whats making other specs viable at the moment. Removing them doesn’t fix the core problems of s/d and will likely make bunkers too bunkery again. No one wants that.

Chaos Storm

It chews through newbs pretty easy but is far less effective against the better players soon enough. It’s easily countered with blinking out/stability/blocking and just avoiding chaos storm. Was really funny to combine this with halting strike and watch bad squishies panic spam themselves to death though.

This bug has shown that a previously widely unused grandmaster trait has potential to be really good and build defining so I hope it’s not just changed to exactly the way it was before. Pretty sure currently with CS chaos storm pulses are 50% stun, 12.5% daze and 37.5% no cc. It would be more balanced at 25% stun, 25% daze and 50% no cc. If it goes to the way it technically should be CS chaos storm pulses will only have 1/8 chance to stun which is far too low on a skill that pulses just 6 times.

Commanding in EU usually meant that I would’ve had to have taken militia and coordinate dual hits with HB and RK – staying up to fight them to see how they would fare (tbh they had a low guildee showing) wasn’t because I wanted to burn at both ends and was doing overtime. If you command a lot you often want to see if the guys you usually play with are up to scratch, playing in EU was more because I was curious to see if RK/PLX/HB would smash my group (95% JQ militia) as JQ has been historically weak in EU as it has no current guilded presence. There is plenty of militia in that time-slot, all they need is someone to lead them (cough cough, need EU guilds).

The best fights I’ve had all year have been against the BG ones since we left, as we cut a lot of dead weight from the guild when we moved off. Making a 3rd underdog server that hasn’t been competitive for first place for competitive again is part of the enjoyment you get from leading and JQs community is just as welcoming as BGs was. We are still the only guilded presence that has its prime ~5-9pm AEST as opposed to the previously stacked BG OC which had 3 OC guilds that usually ended in a ROFL-stomp on BGs behalf mostly from the part of them having a large militia and guild presence 24/7. We improved competition by moving as JQ was legitamately the underdog when it came to competition, as having one-sided fights is fun for no-one and moving from the previously Rank 1 server to the previously Rank 3 shifts the meta of T1 so that we get more fights in more timezones as opposed to everyone stacking in their respective timezones.

Eh?!?! This post makes no sense at all. You’re now claiming the transfer was to help balance t1 after previously saying it was because you weren’t getting enough support? It’s laughable you expect anyone to believe you transferred to the most stacked server in SEA time to balance. In case you haven’t noticed, JQs SEA hugely outnumbers BGs and SoRS. I guess when you tell so many lies it becomes a bit hard to keep track of them all.

To say the MERC players who stayed behind were dead weight is disgustingly disrespectful. I’m sure pretty much every MERC who transferred would agree.

1. Let us tag as many enemies in wvw as other classes do (without resorting to glamour fields+confusing enchantments)
2. Make mind stab a blast finisher.

There is way more than 2 though! A lot of people ask for an iMage buff, I think torch 5 just needs a complete rework. If torch had a way to apply swiftness I would be so happy.
