I’ve been trying to transfer for over 3 months… trust me, I know your pain.
And legended… holy crap that was 4 extra hours of back and forth and close games I don’t want to do again…. but yeah. Look into that crashing thing Anets. :-\ I feel for others that it happens too.
Done… Thanks for clarifying.
It’s not solved yet… I meant the support ticket… I ended up winning (which would have legend me) and then lost a few more… ugh… more back and forth time
Already did in game…. but yeah… there is a way to tell as its clear I came back and played to the win….
Hello,
I literally crashed from some sort of bug in the beginning of a pvp match. Was forced to completely sign off and relog in my computer. I then logged back in to help the team fight. We won, yet I still lost a pip and got 30 minutes of dishonor… I was 4 pips from legendary… I’m hoping someone could help me quickly if there is a way to restore this since this is in no way my fault. I have the screenshots displaying the win – and I hate to think this may be the thing to hold me back from crossing into legendary division at the end of this period. I should either have 3 pips or 2 pips from legendary if it wasn’t for this -stupid- dishonor system.
Victory points is the total score. Warscore is just the score that decides who gets 3, 2, and 1 victory point.
I think keeping downstate may be a good idea – however perhaps remove the ability to res in combat like it has been done in WvW… which essentially means to save your friend you’re going to need to kill your enemy.
I’m liking it. Here in tier 1, in NA, it makes a huuuuge difference. As Blackgates ppt would be jumping up 20k per overnight block when theres not a big enough force to really slow momentum. At this moment, Tarnished Coast is roughly a few hours behind BG (on good pushes) when usually by this day TC would be maybe already 60k or so behind most of it just rollover adding up over OCX/SEA times. I think this spells good news – at least for the higher tiers – I can’t speak for the lowers. If the matches are more in a general reach, then people will keep on playing rather then looking at the score and going “Why waste my time – we’ve already won, lost, doesn’t matter…?” It also seems to cause a lot more direct fighting – because the smaller time limits to get the victory points ends really throttling everyone into gear when they realize they can get a gain on their enemies.
Personally, I feel like it is the absolute best thing to start WvW in the right direction.
Small Edit: Note to Anet Devs Reading: Not that it really matters too much but the WvW Server bonuses granted by the overall score may need a slight tweaking to the new points system if you intend to keep it of course.

Actually, I’m quite curious as to why there are no counter condition stats. Such as Resistance – a condition style Toughness – I think if this were added as an option it could give all of this the best of both worlds. I feel as though conditions are largely unchecked and unfortunately Condi-clears are barely useful in big battles (specifically WvW) due to so many conditions hitting you so rapidly that by the time you clear you’ve already got a crap ton more applied. It’d be neat to see some sort of damage resistance towards Conditions and promote some more interesting tactics – such as sending Condi-resistant players ahead into necro traps to clear paths for their team.
Just a thought. Otherwise, yeah to balance this out you’re gonna definitely have to do something about the state of the large scale combat and how conditions effect it.
So, this is more directed to the WvW Anet Devs – but It’d be nice to hear responses from everyone. I’m looking at some of these Grand WvW achievements, specifically it seems the Dolyak’s Best Friend would take several years to actually complete in its current setting of a million.
Point 1. Dolyak walking outside of giving supply to your locations has no personal incentive. It is the only thing I could find that gave no WXP.
Point 2. Getting one Dolyak to complete a circuit can take for ever. For example. I could be on the my borderlands walking a yak from North Camp, using swiftness. I could finely get it down to the tower at NW or NE. Keep on going and maybe 5 more minutes to the Keep. So we’ll say about ten minutes to walk that yak. That’d be 10 million minutes. Which brings us to 166666 hours. Which is 6944 days. Which is assuming no one kills that little yak your walking.
(Granted I could be wrong about the time there, but I don’t think i’m far off, even at 5 minutes per yak walk that’s still like 10 years.)
Point 3. I feel like each tower should be counted as its own successful yak walk.
I know this probably seems like a none issue but I kinda wish some of these WvW achieves were just a little more … achieveable. Some of them – like the WvW player kills I can see feasible eventually. A million yaks though.
People really need to calm down. I know everyone is upset/frustrated with how things are handled but ruffling out feathers, picking on other peoples views, and attacking the very people trying to solve the problem isn’t going to help anyone.
You guys might feel better yelling at Anet for not testing out this system as much as they should have, but it kind of comes with the territory we are playing a game that is being -constantly- built without anyone -needing- to pay a single cent more for the content. You should really be happy for that fact, still frustrated? Yeah, you deserve to be. No one said, You can’t be. There is no need to act out, as negativity will beget negativity.
Anet -did- make a good call by not giving access to the full rewards – as much as I, too would be happier with my weapons. By not giving us access to the weapons it protects further mistakes from happening and gives them a chance to see if other bugs are in the code that might cause problems. It sucks I know… but I’d rather wait for them to get it right, then get it fast. Go for quality and what not.
So far I think the Dev team has done a good job with all the work and effort they put into GW2. Unfortunately, it is -these- events that actually further the problems. All of us who got our chests want things to speed up so we can get on with our own stuff which will leave the other players that didn’t get their chest -jaded- in the dust. Telling Anet to speed up and continue to develop while they look into a known problem will only cause more and then there will be more complaints over that.
Where I work we have a single big rule to live by. “Right first time.” … and if it isn’t… make it right so that everything else can be “Right first time.” The more QQ, the more aggression, the more frustration, the more problems will be caused… So I just ask you guys to relax a little, chill out, enjoy the game. Your stuff will be here soon enough and it will very likely work 100% fine after they get over whatever hurdle this is.
