Did somebody say “Bump It!”..?
GW2 – Northern Shiverpeaks
Well, this seems to be greatly affected by the time of day for me. Last night during peak North American hours, I was completely locked out of Divinity’s Reach once any of my toons tried to zone in to that map. I just tried logging in today (after changing nothing on my end) and I was able to get in to DR first try with no problems…
So to me, this is pointing towards a server issue when it’s under a heavier load of online players…

ISP: BellAliant
Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
Region: NA
Game World: Sea of Sorrows
Error Code: The game client has lost connection to the server. Please wait a few minutes before restarting the client and trying again. (code=7:11:3:191:101)
Number of characters with the problem: Currently 2 – Tyr Lantz (main) and Whoie Dooie (alt).
Map name(s) on which the character or characters are trying to load: Divinity’s Reach
This issue started out for me shortly after the latest patch. It started as an occasional thing that could be fixed by closing out of GW2 entirely and restarting the application, but just tonight has completely locked me out of my main and one of my alt toons. Both were trying to load into DR (one via a waypoint and one via the main entrance from Queensdale). I get this error now on both toons no matter what I do.
I have tried all of the usual connectivity fixes; Restarting my modem/router, opening the proper GW2 ports, enabling DMZ and disabling AVG anti-virus. I’ve even tried all of the fixes that I’ve read people used in this thread and nothing has worked for me so far.
I really hope this issue gets resolved, but I’m not all that optimistic… It seems like this has been a problem for people for quite some time.
I’ve been playing GW2 for a couple of years now and I’ve never had issues like this. This has only started happening to me this past week…

That would be much more streamlined for sure. I guess I was also just thinking about the potential of being kicked from a guild because too much time has gone by and guild leaders potentially thinking that you might have just stopped playing.
I suppose it could be easy enough to set a user defined status in your social tab that sticks even when you’re offline so that anybody on your friends list can see what’s up and what your expected date of return is.
The event invite is a good idea for organization (although, thanks to Facebook, I cringe inwardly at the thought…)
No breath being held, that’s for sure. Just wanted to throw it out there and hopefully the right eyes see it sometime.

Just throwing this out there, but it would be cool to have a type of Guild Scheduler for Guild Members who may have on and off work/school/gaming schedules.
As an example, I’m a contract worker and can sometimes be looking at a working schedule that would take me away from gaming for a couple of months at a time.
A “Guild Scheduler” of a sort would allow a member to list their current status of gaming frequency/availability. This would not only help guild leaders coordinate PvE/PvP/WvW Guild nights or events but would also act as a visual reminder that a member is temporarily too occupied in real life to contribute to the game and not just gone, never to return dur to work/exams/vacation/etc.
Ideally, there would be a field/calendar where they could list what dates they would be occupied for and possible or approximate dates of returning to the action.
Thoughts?

To be honest, I didn’t read the entire thread… But the upcoming changes look great.
However has anybody mentioned adding the Outmanned buff to your own borderlands…? I play on a pretty low WvW server (I didn’t know that when I was joining at the time) and those of us who do play in WvW always get stomped no matter what we do.
Adding the Outmanned buff to an underdog server that obviously doesn’t have the population to do anything but get wiped will at least give those of us who want to be more active in WvW the slight rewards Outmanned offers. – If not this than there needs to be more incentive for low activity WvW servers to get out there and get active. – Adding an isolated WvW daily reward is a great start though.

The only thing this achievement does is frustrate people. I’ve been trying to get this achievement for days with no luck. C’mon ANet, that’s just mean. Why you gotta hate on us OCD-types..?
