You might want to start a suggestions thread about adding this feature in the suggestions sub-forum. There is no in-game option to turn this off.

This is great but I do not want to use this I want to turn off the que in game. It is a useless addition to the game mostly for people on low end pc’s and internet speeds to make up for there lag by implementing a que. I build my own pc’s and i do not have lag issues. I run the game at 200-400 fps and I have a T1 business internet connection(for just myself).

I just want to know how to disable the que.

Hey, my name is Zawaka, I play alot of games. I have a keyboard that I really love. Its SUPPER sensitive. When I press/depress a button they keyboard sends multiples of the action. I like this it assures my skills go off when I need them. BUT I have a problem. I play thief ever time I click a button I do the action twice. 2 heart seekers 2 body shots ect. all the abilities seem to go into a que and I cant seem to find a place to turn that off. I know World of Warcraft as a similar function and it was infuriating but they had a way to disable this. I can not mod GW2 so I need help DESPERATELY.

Is there a way to change my .ini file or something to disable this? This problem is really frustrating. Or is there a way I can macro ALL over my buttons to cast the skill then use a second button to cancel it(canceling the second skill)? I don’t mind having to re-script my entire keyboard to do this(with autoit or similar) but it would suck.

Thieves not viable in tournaments.

After the damage nerfs the thief is to squishy AND does low damage. I never thought the backstab build was viable in competitive play. Too squishy and to situational. It was more of a pub stomp build. I agree to a nerf to that but that is not what we saw.
We saw a nerf to a key ability to other builds for more competitive play. I feel thief burst(chaining huge dmg abilities together) needs to be reduced. Having a 30% nerf on back stab would be fine. Cloak and dagger nerf fine. BUT on dancing dagger this is to larger a reduction in damage.

it just seemed to me that the nerfs where a good idea but targeted at the wrong abilities.

Btw the backstab build is a pubstomp build because good players:
1. Avoid the damage.
2. Immobilize the thief(theif has only 1 ability to remove conditions its traited and is not part of the backstab build also only removes 2 conditions if in stealth for more than 3 seconds)
3. kill the thief while he is rooted in stealth(the best players just kill them while there moving)
HINT If you hit a thief in stealth you see damage numbers!!! just follow them (while facing them to prevent back stab) and auto attack.

Ok. So you are saying thieves SHOULDN’T do that much damage? Then there survivability(condition removal, base health, utility) Needs to be improved. Preferably by buffing something OTHER than stealth. Falling back on my 1 2 3 how to kill a thief, step three good players still kill thieves easily in stealth AND stealth is really annoying to mediocre players.

So solve two problems with one shot.

P.S. Is this game balanced off of 5v5 or 8v8? I feel like it is more balanced of of 8v8 some times. Which is sort of a slap in the face to competitive players.
P.S.S. Would love to hear(or i guess see) some other ideas for balance.
P.S.S.S. Shout out if you want the pistol auto attack to do more base damage or attack WAY faster!!!

Yeah I didn’t run back stab cause its not viable in competitive play and then they nerfed my dancing daggers to garbage. My team just kicked me they said if i cant play guardian then they will find some one else…

With the chain damage nerfs to thieves and no survivability changes we will fade out and be non existent. I used to play a build that allowed for tanky items to I wouldn’t die instantly in team fights. Then thief got balanced around casual play. So i had to build full glass to be able to do anything. With another consecutive nerf to damage but none to survivability the thief class will not be able to compete.

I feel that balancing around casual players and not pro’s is not a good way to make a game into an E-sport.

On of thee biggest if not the biggest E-sports is league of legends. They balance around the professionals. Why? Because the professionals take the classes to there limit. With a lot of skill you could already beat backstab thieves, with skill us pro players laughed at HSS spam. if pvp is catered to the casuals the Esport aspect will amount to about what World of Warcrafts esport is…non-existent. They catered to the casual and Esport died.

The thief class is one of the squishiest in the game and to top it off we have only 1 move that removes conditions and it only removes 3. It will now take longer to kill enemy….alot longer. Some are barely possible to kill (if at all * cough* guardian cough). The Thief Class needs to be more durable.

I play tournament pvp mostly paid now. I have no problems with thieves. Infact when i see them on the Score page in the start of the game all i can think is…“Thank god they arent a guardian”

Its SOOOOOO easy not to die to them. AND they are super squishy. pro tip thieves cant get out of Roots if they stealth…THEY ARE STILL STANDING THERE so auto attack.

Thieves are the easiest class to 1v1. With only a total of ONE condition removal ability and 2 with tier 2 stealth talent…which backstab doesnt run stack a few conditions and laugh at them. Also you can dodge shadow step. If you die in a back stab i will say 2 things either you need more toughness or you need to dodge/use a stun break. CC the thief and kill them.

The dodge build from the thief (i found myself running 0/0/20/30/20) does terrible dmg
BUT, between the 3 stealth you run and insane amount of dodges and 15 seconds of vigor. You are difficult to catch do low damage tho. It is not good at point holding. 1v1 you will eventually lose and 1v2 at least you are distracting 2 ppl.

I play a lot with a team that wins paid tournaments quite often. The first build I talked about is NOT viable in Tournament style. The second build on the other hand…If you are running sword dagger IS viable. The sword “2” skill is very good it tele-ports you to the target rooting them for 1 second and allows you to tele-port back breaking stuns and removing 1 condition. How this build works: I run 10/30/0/20/20 Utilities I run are Shadow Step Signet of shadows and Stealth Cottage(aoe stealth). Mostly this is an outlast build with decent damage. You will be relying on your Dancing dagger to deal damage. This build is not super bursty but can be done. Cast 4 then 5 then Steal(with Mug) Auto attack to deal about 2-3k dmg and 2 second daze. This does some decent damage. 2000 Dancing Dagger, Cloak and Dagger 3k-5.5k, Steal 2-4k, Auto attack 2-3k If you are running Air and Fire Sigils on weaps thats another 2-5k dmg. So around 19,000 max damage. Unfortunately the sword skills are somewhat slow so odds are the target WILL get the heal off. This build is decent in team fights.

I do not run this build I run Dagger/Dagger although I never use backstab. Stealing right at the start wastes 3 initiative. My team runs a combo field team Dancing dagger has a 33% chance to proc combo’s but has 3 chances.

I understand no game developers care more about their pvp’ers than there pve’ers. THIRTY yes THIRTY events got added to the game but they couldnt add one thing for pvp. Yeah they updated the score board….woooo. Its and iceberg cause most of there dev team is working on pve. Its the truth with most games ( i say most because even though all of they games i have played are this way I am sure there is one out there that does)

1 in 3 times when I die I get stuck at the loading screen. I have to shut down my client and restart it. My team gets first place every time. Even with me leaving we still almost win the 3rd match. This has only started happening after the patch tonight.

They shoot strait through walls. Not sure which pet it was but ever time it happens it is a mesmer with Gsword and Sword pistol.

Tired of being good in pvp and then the mesmer just has his pet kill you through the mall

So glad 1v2 is nearly impossible to win...

hmmm I think you can 1v2 quite often. It depends on build obviously you need to not be squishy and need to have stability or some other way to stop them from stopping you from finishing them. To be honest I am not a fan of the downed state. But i am working around it. If your playing a Trillion strikes warrior or pistolkittenthief you are probably to squishy to kill them and then finish them off in their downed state.

With my current thief build I am playing a non burst build utilizing aoe survivability healing and stealth. I CC(slow) people on the point and aoe quite alot. I have 1v4’d people dozens of times Using my stealth to finish people who go down and my aoe damage over time to punish those who attempt to revive others. In tournaments i always go treb because i can 1v2 kill them both with ease and get back on the treb
turning my teams fight into a 4v3 and with the benefit of the treb. Some times I wont even finish them just keep them from rezzing so they cant do anything in the game. effectively keeping the game 4v3 for several minutes and i let me team know that too. If they have some one on the treb the battle is a 4v2 good odds in my opinion.
