Well done Anet, you’ve made my favorite class completely useless in the only game mode I care about. Such a sad day.

I personally don’t care much about winning or the score. I don’t have as much time to play the game as some people do. I was in a high population realm and grew tired of 2-3 hours queue rather quickly. I transfered over to a lower population server and found out there is no queue or if there is one it won’t be much longer than 10 minutes on avarage. This is great for me because as mentioned before I don’t have as much time to put into this game as some.

The biggest issue is not the score. The biggest issue is that we’re often lacking players and when we log in the maps are fully controlled by another team. It’s very discouraging go and play when everything starting from your keep is held and upgraded by enemies (every single day).

So we finally start getting people online and we have a group of 20 or so people on Eternal Battlegrounds. We pull all our force to bring down 2 towers and a supply camp and start upgrading them. 15 minutes later a 40 player enemy group comes and swipes all the towers back with no effort.

Even if we held the towers for longer time. I had a group at Bravost and we had spent few gold upgrading next to everything past 2-3 hours when the biggest servers were busy fighting one another. The next thing we see is massive zerg of 30-50 players rushing in and just banging their heads to the walls with few rams despite the 3-4 arrow carts, catapult and reinforced gates. We couldn’t defend the tower with mere 20 players against their massive zerg. Should some of them go down under the heavy AoE they were ressed up in less than 2 seconds. The effort we spent last 3 hours was totally lost just because the plain difference in players on the map.

I play this game for fun and I don’t really care if my server isn’t top 3 or whatever, so transferring to higher rated servers or stuff like that won’t solve the issue. What I do care is that when I’m playing I will have a good (or at least decent) fight. It shouldn’t be down to just number of players. Give us means to come back to the game from losing position. Give us a way to outcome the huge difference of players on given map. One sided games aren’t fun for anyone.

I don’t care which way you fix the issue. There has been numerous of good suggestions on this and other threads. Something must be done or people will eventually just get tired and stop playing the game altogether.

Because the problem is this
Server A has 100 NA players who play from let’s say 12-8 pm
Server B has 100 NA players who play from 12-8 pm
Server A has 20 players who play from 9pm-11 am
Server B has 100 oceanic/EU players who play from 9pm-11am
The problem is that YOUR efforts are now being defended by an equal number of players in the day-time as the other server has which makes it almost impossible to deal with because thanks to your superior night numbers, guess what, you took every fort+keep+orb and everything is fortified and already defended with tons of siege weapons.

Everyone’s’ contribution in WvWvW is currently NOT equal as a result. That’s what is so hilarious about A-net’s response “well you all be good community members and make sure to spread your population out evenly ok? We’re gonna be over here making sure people are buying gems. Oh, P.S. we’re gonna leave server transfers free and open so you know, if you’re getting crushed feel free to transfer to a winning server.” absolutely NO ONE is going to say to their guild “hey guys I know we’re winning and currently enjoying tons of bonuses to our server and we’re 150k points ahead of the enemy team but let’s go ahead and transfer to that other server.”

This is so true.

What’s the point of capping and spending tons of money to upgrade a point if you know it will be lost anyway despite your contribution and efforts.
