Little bit of a necro-post again.

I ended up remaking my thief and choosing all of the “Slayer” outfits. You can pretty much get everything from the Stalwart set except from the helmet & shoulders, which is incredibly disappointing as they’re the two pieces that make that set amazing.

At this point – my guess is that whoever was behind implementing the item codes to the rewards for the “Slayer” outfit, ended up misplacing the helmet & shoulders, as they’re from two entirely different sets. Whether this is a “missing item” error and the item is right but it’s not showing as intended, or if ArenaNet never bothered implementing any sort of change, and/or even intended it to just be like it currently is, is another question.

This is one of those subjects where I wish we could get some sort of feedback or input from an actual developer of the game, rather than just leaving it to speculation.

Option for Rangers to stow and LOCK pets

I’ve played Ranger since the BWEs and have always wanted it so that when you do stow your pet away, it’ll stay there until you un-stow it, rather than have it come out on its own when you enter combat, even when you don’t intend on fighting.

For me, personally; it’s just a matter of sometimes I’d rather initiate combat without my pet being present. Even though I can set it to being passive, it’s just not the same.

As for Orion Templar’s post – Most people that I’ve come across that want a perma-stow option want it purely because sometimes they want to roam the game without ANY third-party assistance, even that of an A.I.

I’m quite content with pets just the way they are, I just wish they would be permanently stowed when I stow them.

And the good news is: You do not need to submit a ticket about this situation.

This is most reassuring, as I was beginning to think that I may have to send in a ticket. But if this isn’t the case any more; I’ll gladly wait for this issue to be resolved. Thanks for the heads up, Gaile.

Nothing in my mailbox yet, though!

Add my name to that list as well.

My very first character, which was the only character I had created upon the 3-day head start, up until it reached Level 80, has not received its birthday gifts either.

Even though the people that I started the game with have acquired theirs already, even those who created their character(s) after me.

Hopefully those of us that started on the head start will at least get our gifts on the 28th, if not before then, perhaps?

PvP Tribal and Stalwart armor skin in PvE

Forgive me for the necro-post.

But ever since I first walked into sPvP, coming up to nearly a year ago come August, I’ve had my eyes on the Stalwart set, craving to be able to wear it from outside of the Heart of the Mists.

I have checked through various different forum posts, many claiming that you can get them as personal rewards via-Story Quests. I went through the quests on several different Medium-based characters, each with different factions and neither came up with any parts of the set.

Truly wish that Arena Net would introduce the set to PvE, even if it’s just the Helmet (Commando/Stalwart), it’s just too good NOT to have outside of a PvP environment.

Hopefully in the future, they’ll take pity on us and allow them to be obtained in PvE, whether that be via-Vendors, Drops, Crafting or add them to a future Living Story reward chest.

Those are my two cents, at least.

Not only is this a bug that could be annoying, but it could also be used in bad taste against other users.

For instance: You could find yourself getting into a party with an individual who’s intent is to troll and/or be selfish, where you finally kill Jade Maw and this ‘troll’ would open up the chest and then immediately leave the party, not giving the other players a chance to get their rewards.

That’s an issue that ArenaNet needs to fix, if they strongly believe in giving all players power over what they do for themselves, rather than leaving it down to another person that may or may not use it to their own advantage and leave the unsuspecting player(s) with no credit.

Those are my two cents, at least.

11/9 Tarnished Coast/Crystal Desert/Yak's Bend v2

This just in. I would like to report a TC Alt-F4ing while 6 of us were chasing him underwater in TCBL last night. Please report to your commanders for your promotion.

Are you sure he didn’t just spam the Waypoint while he was out of combat? I know that if I’m outnumbered 10-1 I’d rather waypoint out rather than give the enemy team a free kill.

But if I’m in combat, so be it, will just dish out as much damage as I can before dying.

Without quoting or responding to individual posts; I’m just going to say that this rotation has definitely been a lot more fun than previous matches, where they’ve only been two servers fighting it out whilst the third dies down and drops to the bottom tiers due to everyone transferring off the server to a different one.

Honestly, as for the camping in Jumping Puzzles, wasting their server’s supplies and using the excuses “It makes them mad” or “It’s a logical tactic to prevent them getting siege / badges”, I find it quite frankly pathetic – The siege that you set up in jumping puzzle areas could be used to fend opponents off of your towers and keeps, or assist in taking one, there’s no excuse for wasting supply unnecessarily.

As for personal opinions on Crystal Desert and Yak’s Bend – I have had a LOT of fun this week, especially with fighting against CD’s guilds, locking us in battle for countless hours, whether it be open in the field or at a keep; however with Yak’s Bend, most likely due to my sleeping schedule I have not fought them quite as much, although the times we have got locked in combat have never been disappointing.

All in all, pushing everything else to the side, whether it being people complaining about camping in the puzzles, hackers, etc… I’d like to see future WvW matches like this, and the two weeks that we’ve been facing CD has been fun regardless, and I personally can’t wait to see how we do next week going against Yak’s for an extra week as well as facing the newly-formed Fort Aspenwood.

Those are my two cents, at least.
Happy Hunting!

Malchor Leap-Skill Point Bugged

Hm, it’s been bugged on Tarnished Coast for a few days; hopefully it’ll be fixed by Tuesday; or perhaps over the weekend.

It’s definitely frustrating, as it’s preventing myself and many others, obviously, from actually completing the world map; however it’s no big deal, I just hope that the next build fixes this skill point, as well as all the other world-map related items.
