My favorite addition are the new rewards purchased with the new PvP currency (whatever it’ll be). It gives PvP more purpose, and expands its community to those who previously thought PvP had no benefits for them.

Well…I wouldn’t hold my breath. It MIGHT end up being just like the Ascended gear we can purchase from Fractals- Really time-consuming and expensive, and ultimately not worth it.
As someone who has multiple sets of Ascendeds, I was hoping for more than just Ascended gear (IF those are the only newly added rewards).

A summary for those TL;DR
- With the beginning of each new season, you will be required to play 10 placement matches. These 10 matches will collectively “estimate” where you should start (officially) in the league placement system
- The new rating system is similar to Black Ops 2 league play (the only similar reference I personally know). based on your wins and performance, your skill rating increases, and vice versa
- Inactivity results in automatic skill rating decay
- New badges instead of the traditional Legendary/Diamond/etc
- New rewards: Ascended gear and etc. Most likely a PvP currency similar to WvW’s Badges of Honor
- New map rotations; no more Stronghold
- Solo/Duo queue only

Hopefully in Season 3 Warrior will make his stance. Most Ranked Warriors run a Condi build which I personally don’t like (doesn’t match my gameplay).
I just wish they paid more attention to Shouts and Banners cuz I quite like Shotbow Warrior. Imagine that + a Tempest/Druid…

So I’ve been sticking to Warrior since I started playing GW2, which isn’t too long ago compared to some other players. However I’ve been PVPing hardcore every since I pretty much started GW2 and I’d think that I’ve got Warrior down pretty well. I’m just making this post to state my opinion on the new Warrior- it’s great! Yeah sure it isn’t what everyone hoped for but there certainly is a huge difference in survivability compared to pre-patch, which is a big part of what we needed. I’ve been PVPing almost everyday ever since the new Patch- and even though one might say “oh it’s Unranked everyone’s dudu”- with the new build I figured, my Warrior wrecks 1v1s and 1v2s. Just recently, I’ve had THIEVES (who got the most love in the new Patch), NECROS (who are mostly kitten due to the new Patch) and even the OP MESMERS call WARRIOR broken haha. Isn’t it funny? Someone calling Warrior broken. I returned to Core Warrior after the Patch and am satisfied with what I’ve seen so far.
Warriors is one of the only Professions where your build doesn’t carry you so find one you like and develop it; because I think Warriors will be back in the big game soon
