Nobody on Mag wants this matchup as well. People are PPTing much more than usual just so they move up to T2 next week.

The reason this matchup exists in the first place is because last week HoD and SoS took every opportunity to K-Train empty borderlands whilst pretty much everyone on Mag was roaming EB. So Mag comes last and goes T3 where they clearly do not belong.

There’s fun to be had, but for some reason people want to ram gates and fight npc’s. If this is your idea of fun, then go for it, but don’t complain that your server is outnumbered for fights if half your force is out ppting.

YB and HoD have enough to queue maps during certain timezones, and I imagine it would be incredibly satisfying to wipe the mag blob, so why don’t people try and do this rather than attacking keeps nobody cares about?

If Mag actually wanted to not be in this matchup, they would be in other maps capping. Instead they are spawncamping and upgrading in EB which gives them much less points than they would get by k-training all the maps with their zerg.

If Mag actually wanted fights, they would have stayed in T1 instead of tanking.

Mag doesn’t actually care about fights, they care about their kdr.

Also, everyone who attacks towers and keeps are people who actually like playing the game the way Anet designed it, not some twisted version of guildhall arena combat, pvp mode. The goal is to capture things, not randomly fight in fields, regardless if some people like open field combat. Pretending that towers and keeps don’t belong in wvw is just crazy.

So this is balanced Anet?

What did anyone think was going to happen when Mag decided to exploit the ranking system and tank? Despite any people who left Mag, they still belong in T1.

So it’s a bad thing to tank and “exploit” the ranking system when Maguuma does it, but when Tarnished Coast, Fort Aspenwood, Dragonbrand, and Yaks Bend do it, its fine and it doesn’t get forum posts.

I get why its bad for Maguuma to do it right now, but you can’t pick and choose what servers are allowed to do it and what servers aren’t or it’ll be deemed “exploity.”

I never said anything about those servers, but I doubt they spawn camped for 12+ hours with t3 towers and keep. In threads about Mag many people said they lost some players, but obviously not enough to actually not belong in t1, given I’ve seen queues of 45 in EB while HoD had at most 1 map queued and all other empty.

Perhaps “exploit” is too strong of a word; regardless, it’s clear that deliberately tanking in order to face low tier servers is bad, especially with week long matchups. Once a bad matchup occurs, everyone is stuck with it.

So this is balanced Anet?

Of course, it’s Anet’s fault for not locking Mags ranking when it was obvious they don’t want to play in a fair matchup. Pretty silly to allow them to ruin low tier matchups because they don’t want to actually play wvw how it was designed.

However, spawn camping for 10+ hours will always happen until Anet actually makes some changes to prevent bad mannered play. Even a change as simple as making EB keeps automatically flip to neutral if they are camped like that would be good.

Despite what anyone says about fighting vs ppt, no one wants to actually play when their 1/3 of EB is t3, with full tactics and siege.

Earth keep jump pads

After the change to shrines, Earth keep is now the only keep where attackers can prevent defenders from using the mortars because the pads in the jeep are disabled without the 3rd shrine buff. In addition, enemies can no longer use the pads, so if defenders were already on the mortars, melee classes can’t fight on the mortar pads like in the past.

Please change the pads back to being able to be used anytime by any player.
