I know the SP the OP is talking about, it’s in the middle of a dome and is stupidly hard solo. As a engineer I love underwater combat but we have the most OP kit (grenades). The water in orr is your friend I find it best way to get around if you swim ontop you can out swim any of the mobs and they aren’t spawn as close together in water as they are on land
all of orr should be instanced for a group of 15, where you have to clear all the war important quest chains and take down each temple and then add an epic battle at the end. This would make an nice raid
Engineer seems to be the jack of all trades master of none, I know I can’t find a build I like with them, as someone can always do their job better. So what built is everyone using in tPvP, I have tried to play a flamethrower roamer but can never really get pass the bunker guardian. I have wondered if a combo field engineer could work since they can lay down a smoke/water/poison/fire field all in short space
I run with midnight ice(I got it as a drop and used it before I saw how valuable it could be) it’s fairly black but has a weird glow effect, I would rather dull black dye.
I think they should make all 3 orr maps a server vs server vs server map, not PvP but PvE. could be heaps of different stats tracked giving server points and then buffs. example stats could be Number of champions killed, unqiue DE completed in 30 mins, number of bosses downed etc. the buffs could be like Magic find +20% , or Resource respawn rates increased etc. this would fix multiple problems. Making Orr useful, giving PvE an Endgame and giving people a sense of belonging to a server.
it’s the respawn time in orr, that makes it the place to farm karma, there that near perfect loop in first orr zone where you can get a chain of 6-7 events with no down time. Anti farming code is annoying but a relog or so and you can do it all over again. I haven’t found anywhere else where you could chain together so many events in same time frame
I won’t miss the death of the holy trinity, Ultima online had no trinity and was IMO one of the best MMO to bad it taken what nearly 13-14 years to finally come back round. The do need to make boss fights more melee friendly. The big bosses of each race starting zones sets the trend you get in melee range you are dead. I would love to see bosses who actually do more damage the further away you are or something to stop everyone becomes a range-DPS jack rabbit
wait until you get to 70+, geez there whole personal story quest that require silly work around just to complete them, the DE are constantly stuck there are bugs and balance issues everywhere.
how much of that time is idle?, I have explored everywhere and did it slow and after 130 hours I have 1 lvl 80 and 3 lvl 30’s . I got 3 levels in 25mins just doing my daily in one zone
when you hit orr, this becomes an issue, as you really do need your utility slots (you kinda must have condition removal/run speed/stun break) and having 1 taken up but your kit is just annoying. The toolbelt skill is is generally rubbish. The Flamethrower toolbelt doesn’t even work with the flamethrower only works with the rifle or pistol.
I think allowing us to add a kit to weapon swap would really go a long way to making turrent engineer possible
I fully agree with the OP, I might do it one day but I don’t want to group with people since I can’t give my full dedication to an instance (young bub etc). My problem is what happens in 6months etc with alts where you won’t be able to find 4 others to do the story mode
oh, lucky I was about to try get a group for this. will wait until it’s fixed I guessed
I have just done this quest today, the key is to avoid the teleporting is to jump alot. have to aggro the mobs so you can get the globs of ooze. then you can pick them up and place them just as you land from a jump. do this 4-6 times and your done
I must admit other then the asuran attack golem the elite skills are useless. The Asuran golem can hit for 4-5K at a time (or about 20K damage all up), while supply crate gives you nothing, maybe a few more useless turrents. Randomness on an elite is silly, they are suppose to be the get out of trouble card if you have no idea what your going to get it’s not worth using
I levelled from 70-77 (I’m assuming we are talking about both maps) there today, and it was annoying and caused a huge cost in repairs bills. It’s clearly design around group play but there no real reason to complete the quest. I know on my server all that happens is people go from chopper to giant to another 2 sometimes 3 quest and repeat.
there needs to be some real reward for finishing the map or following all the quest through to the end.
