I stopped playing pvp because the balance is very bad and the updates take a long time to arrive.

Also because I found a better game.

When Anet says ambiguous things about future balance patches, more often than not, the opposite is true.

Examples:
1. “This is just a preview of the upcoming patch, there’s lots more changes”
Truth: The preview is ~99% of the changes.

2. “Elementalist Scepter is getting buffed”
Truth: Scepter is not buffed

3. “We’re nerfing <insert skill/class here> just slightly”
Truth: class/skill gets nerfed hard

I suspect these “minor balance tweaks” will be not be “minor”. I think they will be quite significant.

Arenanet: we are reworking scepter (mesmer)…………… 5% attack bonus on a gm trait.

Congratz, Mesmer are the best to not QQ.

Hi Josh Davis

Only 3 ways to play. No more hybrid classes.

Dueler: bad in teamfight. Moderate damage. strong 1v1. (condition is best) Inge, ranger, necros.

DPS: Weak 1v1. Under sustain. High mobility. High damage. (Mesmer, thief, reverant)

Tank / support: Strong teamfight. low mobility. low damage. High support. (guard, warror, elem)

No more hybrid classes.

It would also be a good idea to prohibit, in competitive tournament classes. No more two revenant. 2 Mesmer. 2 ele. etc. You only have 9 classes, try that players are forced to seek diversity, and when there is an unbalanced class, no one can abuse it.

Prohibit double classes. GW2 has barely 9 professions, not 50. And we see teams play 3 professions.

ArenaNet prevent double class exists in qualifying . It is an easier solution. The perfect balance is much more difficult.

mesmer tank is tolerable
reveratn viper is tolarable .

mesmer double or double Reverant is not .

I know that the best solution must come from ANET.

But we are not naive. Anet has never done a good balance.

How long the ranger is out ?, one year, two years?

Instead of waiting for a solution that takes months. Preferably, the community made a temporary solution. That’s my opinion.

We all know that this game is not balanced.

We all know that anet takes a lot of time to try to correct.

In my time here I have seen.

2 ranger spirits per team
2 and 3 warrior hammer per team
2 ele cele per team.
2 engineers per team.
2 mesmer mantra per team

and now 2 and 3 ele cele again.

It is a mistake that happens for years, a class is broken and abused at all levels.

At least in official tournaments could fix this problem.

My proposal is that 2 equal classes shouldnt be allowed within the same team, or al least not running the same build (2 shoutbow war, 2 d/d celestial ele etc)

The game is currently off balance (big time), but the comunity could display a better sense of deportivity and fair play by not abusing overpowered build.

it might seem a bit unfair to the people using the favored classes or the team that have been running 2 equal classes comps for a long time, but nobody was amused to see 2, 3 and up to 5 elementalists in ESL u AG.

PD: at the moment the elementalist is way too broken, but it will be someone else later on. So its not about the classes, is about trying to keep the copetition healthy and balanced.

In fact impressed me when I saw hellseth of necromancer and thief.

the necromancers are OP because noscoc is in my opinion the best player in gw2. Nerf the necromancers because noscoc is very good (ridiculous) and because his team is the best in NA, then the necro need nerf (ridiculous)

In my opinion the mesmer only plays (and in rare cases) because it has a good cleaning boons, especially for the Might of ele) and only if your computer is ready to play for a mesmer.

The thief prevents any other class is roamer and be dps.

Just as the ele prevented play warror hammer, guardian, and ranger.

The thief, since he started the game, is the king of dps and roamer.

everything can change, but never stop playing with thief (unless your team is very tank, but even cheese mode has a thief)

We can only expect a correction in the cele amulet or the engineer or Elementalist.

Or hope that in a future patch born another build of mesmer.

Also remember that the mesmer is the hardest game counter. The thief. The difference is ridiculous. should reduce this difference. (not eliminate)
