So I was gonna resume the crafting of Ambrite weapons, since I’m about 1/2 way done with the achievement.. (I’m @ about 8 or 9 of 16 so far,) … and can’t seem to get any more Unidentified Fossilized Insect’s to drop from the Drytop Chests anymore….

I know they are random drops from the buried locked chests… but come on now….. I’ve burned through almost 200 Zeph lockpicks now (over the last couple months) and not a single insect to be had…

Have they been removed from game?? Or are they “RNG-Bugged” from appearing?? Or has the drop rate just been seriously nerfed to hell now????

Anyone?

[Suggestion] Collectible slots for ....

Even with maxed out bank tabs.. my bank is getting pretty full of stuff… to the point that I’ve actually been throwing away items..

Might I suggest collectible slots for some/all of the following items…

*Foxfire Clusters
*Blade Shards
*BOOOOOOOOOOOSTERS
*Scrolls / Tomes of Knowledge
*Doubloons
*Mystic Forge Items (Philosopher’s stones, Mystic Forge Stones, Binding Agents, ETC..)
*Base Cooking Materials (Bags of spice, Jars of sauces, Salt & Pepper, Cookie dough, pasta noodles, Cinnamon & Sugar…ETC..)

I’d like to extend this list out to “Tonics” as well.. but that would be somewhat insane, so I’ll skip that for now…

Additionally….. “STACKABLE” Black Lion Salvage kits would be nice… once a kit is used, (even once) it can’t be placed back in the stack.

Okay, enough for now… back to hoarding….

Especially now since this current story portion (Seeds of Truth), there are NO SKIPS for cut scenes…

And let me be perfectly clear here…. for the reading impaired whiney brigade….

For those who want the repeated rewards…. I’m saying you should STILL GET THEM, by simply taking a second… third…. tenth character through the story…. but as an Account wide completion… you will also be able to work on the Achievements as well….

You guys both should go back and ‘RE-Read’ what I wrote, regarding rewards….

“….ONCE COMPLETED, all subsequent play through are considered “Replays,” Giving the rewards they would have normally received…..”

But perhaps I didn’t make my intentions clear on the matter. So to clarify, you’d STILL BE GETTING the rewards, but you’d also be working on the achieves as well, after having completed the story the first time through.

I hope that makes my intent more defined.

There is however…. one thing that I’m definitely NOT digging… and I’m not alone on this as a number of others have mentioned it as well…

It’s the “well, you were kinda, almost, in the general vicinity of but not really near the damage ring, but we’re gonna give you the full amount of damage and all the condi’s piled on” effect….

That awkward moment when you completely dodged a red ring of AoE death, even get the “evade” monikers, but still take full damage and gain conditions from the attack… yeah… it’s like that.

I haven’t been able to find anything yet that said the mordrem’s (of all types) attacks, have an additional “splash” AoE effect that exceeds the red/orange impact zones…. If anyone’s seen OFFICIAL confirmation of this, I’d like to read up on it if you’d kindly link it.

Kinda gettin’ on my nerves a lil’.

Okay… I really like the Living story thing…

Especially now this newer content, where mobs don’t just roll over and die.. You actually have to beat on them a lil’ to defeat them… Good going.

BUT….

Having to “Replay” the story, to accomplish the achieves? …. eh…. no thank you. Especially when you can’t “Skip” cut scenes and dialogues and the like.

What I would like to see, and this is just my opinion on this… so keep your flames in your pants…. Is for the Living Story to be completed ACCOUNT WIDE.

Do the first part on one toon, use a second toon for the next part and another for the next part… Or, just use one toon for the whole thing. ONCE COMPLETED, all subsequent play through are considered “Replays,” Giving the rewards they would have normally received. So folks can get to work on the achieves. And they can use ANY level sufficient toon they have….

For example, I have 8 level 80’s…. 1 of each class… I so far have completed this on 5 of them… 3 more to go. By the third toon, I was dreading it…. It would have been a lot nicer if, all these other toons, could have been working directly towards achieves, rather than just trying to complete the LS (Just for them) in order to go back later and do it all over again attempting achieves.

I dunno, maybe I’m just using to much logic on the topic… w/e.

It occurred to me while viewing some of the available skins in the Black Lion Trading Post, that actual pieces being sold by other players I could “Preview,” albeit only 1 piece at a time. But, you can only view “SKINS” via the entire set. This got me to thinking, what if you were able to “mix & match” the skin pieces individually?

In the image below (pardon the crappy, hastily scribbled-ness of it) …. I tossed some ideas together that might allow for a better previewing experience.. I used my Mesmer for it.

First, across the top is a series of 4 clicks … representing LIGHT, MEDIUM, HEAVY and TOWN CLOTHES… Since my Mesmer wears LIGHT armor, I clicked that tab… by doing so, ALL that appears in the right hand side are LIGHT armor skins… I then selected the “PHOENIX” LIGHT armor skin set, which then reveals a series of 6 clicks… representing the HELM, SHOULDERS, CHEST, GLOVES, LEGS and BOOTS…. Of those, I selected the HELM, GLOVES and LEGS from that set, which would then appear on my character in the preview window. I can then, scroll to a different LIGHT armor set, and can add the SHOULDERS, CHEST and BOOTS from another LIGHT set.

I suppose it could be carried a bit further, that if all a player wants is a couple of specific pieces, ANet could charge just for those pieces, say 150 gems per piece, rather than 800 gems for a whole set. But at least the potential is there for players to determine which sets they would actually want.

I have to agree with Goddess… I’ve made a few passes through Brisban Wildlands and Snowden Drifts … the result was pretty close to what she described. Nearly twice the amount of various ores than wood.

Like I mentioned… I’m not asking for entire groves of trees, just a couple nodes that would definitely yield a descent amount of logs due to the significant increase of the amount of various wood types required by the new ascended crafting.

Looked but didn’t find anything on this, so started a thread on it myself, so pardon me if it’s already been done and I just missed it.

But it occurred to me that we have “Rich” nodes of all ores, (which require less resources to make an ingot, [2 ores per 1 ingot]) but not for trees, that require more resources per up-step, (3-4 logs per 1 plank.)

And now, with the “Ascended” crafting making its way into the game, A WHOLE LOT of wood is required for a good bit of it.

Would it be relatively plausible to consider a " RICH " tree node?

I’m not asking for entire orange groves sized nodes here mind you… but simply a tree node that would definitely give you 2-3 re-uses. Something that you are kinda guaranteed to get between 9-12 logs from.

Make them just as sparse as Rich Ore nodes… maybe call them “AGED [tree type] Saplings”… make them the same appearance as a normal sapling, only slightly larger.

I considered small groves of regular saplings.. like 3-4 of them bunched up in a tight space. But dismissed that idea as that is extra load on the game. So, I’d stick with the “Aged” idea more.

Just a thought to kick around.

BTW: I am aware that sometimes a tree node WILL give you an extra re-use, giving you a few extra logs on occasion, or sometimes just one use and give you an extra log or two. But considering the amount of wood required, that kind of small potatoes compared to ores, don’t you think?

Wallet ... TEMPORARY CURRENCIES

A thought for whenever temporary currencies are available… Have a 4th row drop down for when that currency is “Currently Active.”

What I mean by this is for example is, “Currently” during the Queen’s Jubilee, Watch Mechanism Sprockets are used as a “CURRENCY” to buy stuff in the Pavilion. In a few weeks, the Jubilee will end and Sprockets will no longer be an ACTIVE currency, just a crafting material.

So, for the next few weeks, Sprockets could show up as a 4th row in the wallet. Once the Jubilee ends, they would no longer need to show up in the wallet.

My reasoning for this line of thought is… if you stumbled across my rant about having a pain trying to beat chompers and strum, I had to make more than a few trips OUT of the Pavilion to go grab more sprockets to buy more tickets to try and beat that thing. (which I finally managed to do, btw.)

Add to that, using the deposit collectibles sends what sprockets you have to the collectibles page of your bank. As you gain more sprockets, you may gather enough to purchase the recipes (or whatever your after) at the emissaries. It would be nice to NOT have to exit the Pavilion to go grab more just to make your purchase(s).

As more Living Story emerges, the possibility for more “Temporary” currencies exists.

Any other thoughts on this?

HOLY F’ING MOTHER MACREE..!!!!!! I FINALLY GOT IT..!!!!

Not by some outrageously intricate strategy or anything…..

But by PURE F’ING LUCK!!!!!!!!

Strum basically threw the first several meats practically right at my feet!!!!!…

HOLY CRAP!!!!… I couldn’t believe it…I almost kitten’d it up!!!…

I don’t even care now whether or not I ever beat Liandri …. I was just so sick of this particular 1 that I’m happy enough as it is!!!!

Good lord it’s finally over…..

I hope and pray the rest that are still having a pain with this 1 get that 1 lucky version I just got and spare them the pain I had…. and that you get it SOONER than I got it.

Tried your version Nav… in hopes of at least a mild success… like downing at least 1 of them… it would be a fail… but it would still be be progress.. no go….

just cant take the mass dmg from these cross arena leaps… insta-down…

So far… the best progress I’ve made was on my Ranger again… downing Strum first…then going for the dog…. thought I might actually make it this last time… got the dog down to half..

Then…

SCREW YOU….!!!!… floor drops out….

Seriously?…… I finally had a chance of completing it..and this happens?

I’ve had enough…. not likely I’ll be able to finish this portion of the living story….

Not if this is the kind of crap I’m gonna have to subject myself to….

80 tickets blown now…. along with the sizable repair bill…. its just not worth it…

I call BS on this remark…. you lie like a rug for sure with that 1…

Literally all you do is run for the meat and grab it before the dog. Neither of them do any damage until you kill one. Did this on full Zerker and I don’t think I went below 66% health, ever.

Was dead by the time i grabbed the 2nd piece of meat….. I think the weakest hit I took was around 4500.

And I had already tried that blind/fear wall that u mentioned bogy …. see my reference to “IMMUNE” … pretty much everything i throw down that could slow/immobilize or cause any other kind of control effect is…well.. INeffective… it’s not working… even got yanked across the arena while in plague form… how UNawesome is that?

Been there, done that…. consumables + boosters… doesn’t seem to matter…. kinda hard to “get to the food first” .. when I’m being yanked back across the room before reaching it… poured on the CC’s… no go… he heals like 10-15% each piece he eats…. I couldn’t drop the dogs HP down enuff to keep up with the heals…

Did I mention the pain in the kitten 1-hits..or almost 1-hits…that might as well just go ahead and be 1-hits?

Like i mentioned earlier.. no idea how to beat it..and have no F’ing clue how others r doing it…

EDIT: btw… none of the controls seem to be working in there anyways… rangers roots… guardian chains… necro fears…. etc… just getting big fat “IMMUNE” pops for all of that stuff… thought it might be important to add that since that is what everyone keeps posting to do everywhere else.

As it says…. I have no idea how to beat this pair in the gauntlet. (And judging by the rage around the net…I’m not the only 1 getting kitten ed about this wave) I’ve burned over 60 tickets now (and as u can imagine…an equivalent in money for repairs) trying to beat this part.

I’ve tried a geared out, LvL 80 for all 8 classes that I’ve been trying it on. I’ve tried the “DULFY….kill the dog first..” method…and then tried killing Strum first on ALL of them…. I’ve scrambled builds… equipment …. on all of them… nothing is working…

The closest I got to beating this wave was on my Ranger.. killing Strum first…which I actually managed to do some how (with his BS 1-hit after pulling u all the way across the cage crap)… only to be 1-hit myself by the dog…. and then the floor fell out of the cage.

Wonderful….

I’ll be requiring a freakin’ refund ANET for all that repair work.

Any Word On NEW Legendary Skins?

A good amount of people, myself included, have pretty much decided to not bother with Legendary Weapons… simply put.. because they mostly look like crap.

NOT FOR EVERYONE though, as some do look somewhat descent on certain classes/races. But for the most part, I can’t see myself grinding away mat-farming forever to make a Longbow that makes me look like a 1-800-Flowers delivery person, or identifies me as part of the “My little pony” clan.

Some people like that stuff.. hey, more power to them.. congratz. I wish you the best with those.

But for those of us who would prefer something more interesting to wield, will there be anything worthwhile in the future to work towards?

Perhaps a Longbow that lobs arcs of lightning … like an actual lightning strike or some such…. just a thought…

Ahem… well.. now that I’ve regained my composure from the LoL-fest I was suffering from…both from having read previous posts stating emphatically that ..“numbers have absolutely NOTHING to do with it…” and then having been subject to the 50+ man face rolling Omega Golem zerg-fest in EB a couple hours ago… I think it’s very safe to say that abso-freekin’-lutely NO ONE is ever gonna buy into that BS “it’s skill, not numbers” argument….like, ever… ever…

I seriously doubt we even had that many people scattered across all 4 maps.

DYES: Suggestions & Thoughts

Okay, so we all have been striving for various dye-ing goals in one form or another…. here’s some thoughts that occurred to me;

Account dyes and Personal dyes: It would seem more appropriate to have the basic dyes, such as dyes u get as drops…. from the generic dye packs…. gathered from plants…etc, would be better as ACCOUNT-wide dyes. Hence, you identify the dye with your double-click, and THAT dye is available on ALL toons on your account. Specialty dyes, like our current “Flame & Frost” dyes… should remain as ONLY AVAILABLE on the toon that Identified them. ANET gets its “tons o’ cash” from people wanting specialties on all thier toons, we get a wider variey of colors to choose from for all our toons…. win-win?

Weapons & Accessory Dyes; Would it be too difficult to code our weapons and back accessory pieces with the ability to Dye them? When we open our “H” (Hero) panel, and click the DYE icon, could our currently equipped weapons and back piece show up to the RIGHT of our toon, with a DYE option box next to each piece? Even a simple 2-tone color option box would be great…. ((and for legendaries, a 3rd color option for it’s aura.)

Order Designation At Character Select

Additionally, more as an afterthought really…. perhaps the ability to “Join” the other 2 Orders after you complete “Victory or Death” …. then I suppose everything I posted above, wouldn’t even matter then…. 8^)

@xCrus… by porting.. i meant to each Orders HQ’s … to see which you could interact with.. as in the Fort Trinity portals, etc…. but no worries… it’s all irrelevant now anyways.

Order Designation At Character Select

Heyas,

I realize this isn’t a major priority here for currently for many players… but thinking ahead, towards future expansions, where it might actually become relevant, it began to occur to me that it may be of use a some point.

On the “Character Section” screen, we have the multiple banners lit up for having achieved acceptance into “X” Order, (Priory, Vigil, Whispers), but unless you actually memorized which toon is in which Order, you kinda have to port around trying to recall which is in which.

A suggestion, and it should be fairly easy to implement, is simply a more intense highlight around the specific banner on the Character Select page of THAT particular characters achieved Order. And as you select/click on your different toons, THEIR particular banner illuminates.

Who knows what future expansions may hold… so it just might become pertinent some day. 8^)

Black Screen of Death thing is getting old...

Well, as it turns out (and as I expected really), this was only a temporary fix, and didn’t resolve the issue, as the Black Screen crashes have resumed.

Decided to just wait until Wintersday was over and see if the “end-event” patch that clears out all the event stuff would wipe the issue away.

No dice… that didn’t work either. And now, judging by the wave of new posts, it seems the end event patch has crippled even more players.

So, I attempted yet ANOTHER driver wipe for my GPU (nVidia 9600GT 2GB) and roll back to 306.97 clean install. This didn’t do it either.

I appreciate the thought (@Majestic,) unfortunately, temp/power isn’t the issue here either as I physically dragged my rig into the shop and had all my components stressed. My computer is running fine. Additionally, I’ll add that like everyone else having this issue, it’s ONLY GW2 that this prob is happening to. Appreciate your attempt though.

So, Guild Wars 2 will officially be “sitting on the shelf” collecting dust now, until they fix whatever they broke.

Thx again for the many suggestions at possible fixes. Unfortunately, you can’t fix what isn’t broken. It’s on Anet’s end, that which needs to be fixed.

And there it is… the long awaited “We’ve exhausted all avenues…” support e-mail.

I knew this was coming….. you can’t alter, reconfigure, re-install, etc., a computer that much whilst having zero effect on the end result. That being, being able to play the game.

It was pretty much a given from the start that the problem had little to do with my end of the issue.

BUT FEAR NOT!!!!!!!!!…. I think I found a “TEMPORARY” workaround without their assistance that MIGHT assist others having the kind of BSoD issues I was having.

It basically involves turning your high performance gaming PC into a cheapo pocket calculator. After having searched hundreds of forum posts with the help of a few of my guildmates (who were also having issues,) HYPERTHREADING came up. I figured, what the hell…. and gave it a shot….

In my BIOS, I DISABLED Hyperthreading. I went from almost instant crashes upon loading into the gameworld, to getting a good 20-30 mins of gameplay again. Not a perfect fix, but at least I was able to get back in and move around a few zones to see what, if any pattern there might have been.

Not content with 20-30 mins before I would crash, I thought back to when support had me turn down the MAXIMUM PROCESSOR STATE under power options in my control panel. Only slightly, from 100% to 99%. Their ideal was supposedly to prevent the Intel Turbo feature from kicking in. But, just like Socialism, good in theory, Epic Fail in practice. So back into the BIOS I went, and completely DISABLED Intel Turbo.

With both features turned OFF/DISABLED, I was able to go for a good 2hrs of uninterrupted gameplay, (other than the expected lagg here and there) and was able to log in and out repeatedly several times without a BSoD.

So there you have it, yet another temporary fix until ANET fixes whatever it broke with it’s wintersday patch back around the 14th-17th.

Hope this helps at least a few of you. I know how crappy it feels to be “out of game” for such an extended period of time. (2 weeks+ for me until this).

Hey Kirito. Thanks for the thoughts. But it is unfortunately mostly irrelevant at this point in time, with everything else that I’ve already subjected my system to trying to get this resolved. Already done a few game advisors and sent them in to support at various times during all the tweaks they had me doing. They never showed anything off then, so there would really be no point in reposting them now.

The second option, while being a viable possibility, is actually unlikely. If you go through the many posts about this issue, the GPU’s involved span the entire gamut of producers. From ASUS to Saphire to MSI, etc etc etc… and the cream of the crop is my neighbor has the same GPU I have, and is NOT having the BSoD issue.

Go figure, eh…

As for the last option, I have done that. loaded my gpu up as much as possible. Performed fine. Kinda like a jenga stack I suppose though. Did start getting a little iffy at the end. Then again, while graphically intense, GW2 doesn’t put the kind of strain on the GPU that I subjected it to in stress testing.

But I do wish to extend my thanks though for offering your thoughts w/o flames. In times like this when a favored game goes south due to some error in coding or w/e it may be, trolls tend to emerge in droves. So it’s refreshing to see some 1 like yourself offering what assistance they can without raging “IT’S YOU!!!! NOT THE GAME!!!” I just hope they figure out what they messed up soon, so I can get back into the game.

Okay…. I really think it’s time for them to just come out and admit, “Hey we really F’d something up with one of our latest patches….”

There is just way to many variances on what I’ve read about what is happening to a good percentage of players since the Wintersday patches. Web is filling up with new reports on the subject daily….

Lets get hot in this 1 Anet…. your gaming base is waiting….

Yeah, yet another victim of the black screens of death.

Have to reboot to use my PC after the crash as I don’t get the luxury of being able to just hit Alt+F4 like some of the other reports of BSoD’s.

And just like most, it all started with the Wintersday patches around the 14th or so. Game ran flawlessly prior to this, just like most every one elses did.

Done all the updating of drivers, BIOS, etc. that can be done. Done the roll-back of other drivers that have been tried.

Ran all the reports that can be reported. (SPECCY, CPUID-CPUZ, Prime95, etc.)

Haven’t been able to participate at all in the Wintersday event at all with this.

Please get this fixed. I’d actually like to get back to playing again someday. Well, be able to play for more than 30 minutes…. consistently that is.

Hey, just a thought here, perhaps kick around some ideas on this.

I tried making an Elementalist once before. But due to the extremely lengthy process of unlocking ALL the weapon skills for ALL the elements, and then having to repeat that process again for underwater… I just gave up on it.

Indeed, Ele’s only use a few weapons, those being the staff, daggers and scepter/focus which is about 1/2 of what other classes get in weapon availability.

Buuuuuttttttttt…….. they have to unlock each of them 4 times, which adds up to being DOUBLE what all the other classes have to do.

Before all the flaming rants start, I am NOT asking for instant weapon skill usage. Got it? That’s not what I want AT ALL. So go pound sand you numpty troll flamers.

What would interest me is only slightly faster progression for unlocking all these skills.

At the current rate, you start with Skill 1 and four empty slots (2,3,4,5).

Skill 2 unlocks at 50% per kill. So 2 kills and its unlocked. That’s GREAT. Leave that 1 alone.

Skill 3 unlocks at 25% or there about. So 4 kills and it’s unlocked. I would recommend bumping this up slightly to about 33-34%. 3 kills and unlocked.

Skill 4 unlocks at around 13-15% it looks like. So it takes around 7-8 kills to unlock. I’d think around 17-18% would be better. Would take maybe 6 kills to unlock.

Skill 5 unlocks at around 7-8%, taking an ungodly amount of time at about 13+ kills to unlock. 10 kills at 10% is more than enough I would say.

This would mean they still end up doing more “unlocking” work than every one else, but not as much as they currently have to do.

BTW, I DID sweat through all this current rate of unlocking. So it’s too late for me to be aided by something like this. But it might help others to NOT be disheartened by the daunting task of just unlocking.

I to wish to extend my appreciation for the quality of this jump puzzle. I did have an issue with it, as I was never able to complete it from just not being able to see the landing platforms… but I STILL LOVED IT!!!

Hey…!!! It seems there are actually nubs out there (I’m guessing WoW-ists) who are seriously gripping over the clock tower. So much so, to the point that someone actually started a “props to Josh” thread.

While I did give my issue ABOUT the tower, allow me to restate, I LOVED the tower, even though I couldn’t beat it. (Even after almost 20 hrs. of attempts… was the same issue over and over…)

I recommend people stop in at the Josh post and express your appreciation.

Hopefully it will inspire MORE puzzles like this… (hopefully just not in such a crowded manner.) 8^)

Yeah…like I said… I love the difficulty…. the hard-timer of the rising goo is great….

It’s just the not being able to see where the heck I’m landing thing that’s been my issue the whole time…. just can’t get past the 1/3 mark since I can’t see through all the bodies ahead of/around me…

I’m just glad this isn’t Blizzz running this.. or the mass threats of “I’m gonna cancel my subscription unless you make this easier” would be flooding the chat.

I really don’t want them to easify this….

I’d just like to see where I’m going.

Well, stuffed a few more hours of this under my belt…. still not getting any further…..

Only thing that helped me get an extra jump or two in on occasion was to tilt the camera downwards, providing a more “from above” viewpoint.

Perhaps that’s something others could try that are having problems like I am. But it’s not enough to get me any real further progress. Lateness of the hour isn’t making a difference either. More people filling in as others leave.

So I maintain, a solo of this, or translucent ghostly character models to more match the theme of Halloween (and let you actually see what you were doing) would have been preferable from my point of view.

I also just found out that the Dev. that designed this thing expected barely 5% of the community to actually be able to complete it. So again, gratz to those who were able to do it. Your apparently part of the Elite Jumpers.

Thx for all the vid’s and other advice. it’s nice to see people who agree that it SHOULDN’T be a Zero-Effort with 100% reward thing.

Gives me further hope on this games survivability.

Unfortunately, all the advice in the world isn’t making a bit of difference in my case, as following it still hasn’t gotten me any further up the tower.

Plain and simple, just can’t see where I’m jumping/landing in the midst of the mob.

I’ve seen a few other suggestions that had mild plausibility on this. One was for it to remain a mob-ish kinda thing, but all the character models be transformed into like spiders or ghosts, which would reduce the issue I (and sounds like others too) have.

I was thinking, since this is kind of a race-to-the-top, in the Mad King’s realm, the translucent ghost idea makes a little bit more sense, and would add I think, to the overall feel of the event.

Like I’ve mentioned numerous times to others, I SOOOOO DON’T want this to turn into a zero-effort/100% reward debacle. I love the challenge that things like this tower provide.

I Just wish I could see what the heck I was doing, while doing it.

Congratz by the way to those who have made it… your deff. a better speed jumper in a crowd than I am. 8^)

So far, I’ve burned about 6 hours trying to complete the Mad King’s Clock Tower, but to no successful conclusion. I’m barely making it past the first 1/3 of the puzzle. And believe it or not, I’ve loved every minute of it.

The fast pace is great, having a “hard timer” like it has is exciting.

My one and ONLY issue is this;

I seriously wish it was a SOLO instance…!!!!!!

(And EVERYONE that I’ve mentioned it to while awaiting a relaunch has agreed).

The model sizes of the Charr or Norn or whatever are not the issue I’m having. And indeed, they really aren’t the issue that others are having, even though that’s what they are mostly blaming it on. What is actually the real issue is that there are models OTHER THAN yourself (myself in this case) stampeding along with you (me).

I can’t tell you how many landings I’ve missed in the mad rush because there was three other character models (regardless of race) between me and my landing spot.

Man I would soooo love to be able to do this puzzle, with everything just as it currently is, ALONE…..

No change in the pace…. the enviro… anything….

Just have it left exactly as it is, and be the only one in there…..

I Can't Justify Doing Dungeons... More Than Once...

Okay, so, other than doing the story-mode of a dungeon, just to say “I did it,” I can’t seem to find any other reason to bother going back in for explorable mode. Well, other than the obvious, to get the “mapping” done, like way-points, PoI’s, etc. But otherwise, no, there just doesn’t seem to be any real justification for it.

I keep hearing the same BS argument about getting tokens for endgame equipment. But the thing is, a person can CRAFT that stuff themselves. Or even just buy it off the trading post.

For example, this is a Leatherworker-400 Chest Armor, (one of several types you can MAKE) just add a Rune (of YOUR choice, not what the vendors load on them.)

So I’m not seeing any reasons to bother, other than the aforementioned mapping. And vanity? That’s a useless argument.

Anyone got any other reasons?
