So what’s the point of having to visit all those tedious JPs again? Just for achievements to get a boring mini that is yet again just a smaller version of an existing npc?

I mean, don’t get me wrong, I am playing a mmo so I am basically killing time I could use to, I don’t know, save the world or feed hungry children. But “run to the other end of the world, again, and get an achievement” feels like killing my time with a rusty spoon…. covered in cotton wool….

You don’t have to do it unless you think it’s fun. If it’s not fun for you, don’t do it. Simple concept.

For me, those jumping puzzles are fun, doing them once, twice, even 30 times. The EB one, to get the cache there, was the best because I did it with a group of 6-7 guild members who had a somewhat blast killing SoR players, trying to guide poeple who have never done it, and watching so many fall deaths. It was an experience unlike any other….

The reward? So what if it’s “just a mini” to you. That mini in my bank is a reminder of this event, a reminder of my fun times, and a reminder of me kicking Horrick’s butt after he shot a cannon at mine.

If you are newbie, focus on levening, doing personal story, story dungeons. Living stories are generally just updates for bored people who already did everything in the game.

Except they are one time only, and if the new players are completionists (like I am), they need to do the LS stuff too, while its available.

BTW OP, it can be done, you just need to figure out the path of least resistance (ie. path with least enemies). I had to do something similar for the Halloween content (ran a lvl 7 to Sparkfly Fen, to see one of the ghosts to get the Mad King back piece). Persistence and paying attention (knowing when to dodge) are your best friends when trying to do this stuff.

(You could also always try to guest on a high pop server, and follow other people who are going to the caches.)

Are you on an NA server? I applaud your wanting to push a level 13 into that territory but I think it might help you to have a bodyguard. I’m heading off for a short work thing; I should be available by 1:30 or 2 pm Eastern to guest over to you and escort you places. I know that’s a few hours from now, sorry
