Well the only problem with this is it doesn’t indicate which power ups you already hit the opponent with? So, I guess it will be possible to get eventually provided that you hit an opponent every time with every power up? I am currently on 5/7 and no rollover text indicates what I still need to do.
Quite impressive sir!
I may need some assistance this weekend here to obtain some of these if you wouldn’t mind?
@Electro thank you, that is the point I am trying to make with this OP!
It makes new players shy away and makes it less favourable, next to impossible for some.
That one and I believe getting to the Trolling cache as well. And the weapon caches are only there til July 9th I believe, so I will not be lvling to 80 in that short amount of time, therefore will miss out on the achievements and events.
Getting like the achievements to get to the weapon caches in the real high monster areas. Literally if you get hit, you are down and dead and hope to god you got to the next waypoint or you are starting over from the last one.
When you look at it as a whole for those particular items, but the living story content like when they have to move onto the next one, and say you just started playing the game, and have low level character. I have attempted much of the content from Dragon Bash and the Pirates of Tyria content, and some of it is just way out of my league. The monsters are ridiculously high in level for me and then on top of it, by time I would be high enough, the content to get all the achievements will have been long gone.
What does everyone think about this going forth? I think it is hard enough to keep up as it is and none of the content has really been perma-content, just temporary. Thoughts?
@Mortifer yes I realize part of this, but I liked the rewards that they were giving out and lvling to 80, which I can imagine takes a bit of time to do, on top of that it is a challenge to navigate and find newer waypoints, lvling at the same time. I just don’t believe it is fair to the newbies for ANet to introduce this living story content say that anyone can do it, but oh by the way some of the achievements are in very high lvl places that you won’t have a chance to get to unless by some miracle you dodge all the high lvl monsters or have a buddy that can tag along with you. They basically are shutting out new potential players and since the content is non-repeatble, they will never get a chance to get these achievements and they will just be there empty in your list forever for all your characters.
@Donari.5237 I sent you a PM. Let me know if that will work for you.
Thank you everyone for the elaborated answers. I believe this will assist me in trying to run a low lvl char through the area by myself and have backup as needed to progress further. Thanks!
Thank you very much for the suggestions! I am guessing that this content is not quite for low level or people just starting their first character on GW2? That is quite unfortunate as you would think ANet would entice newcomers but this content really is just frustrating to newbies and would shy them away.
Does anyone know the shortest path with least enemy resistance from Lion’s Arch to get to Timberline Falls for the cache?
I am currently a lvl 13 warrior and have recently started the GW2 game. I noticed that most of where these weapon caches are have very strong enemies that aggro me almost instantaneously. I can generally get past most of them; however, every once in a while I get overwhelmed or one of the mobs will use a ranged attack and knock me down in one hit. I have been trying to get as many waypoints as possible and if I get knocked down I will just port to that waypoint. I am at a standstill now though as it seems that this content is not meant for newbies which is quite unfortunate and I am not able to progress further. Any assistance on this or any of the other weapon caches that are in high level enemy areas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
@Dulfy, so just curious how do you get all this information so early and all these screenshots up so quick? What is your secret? LoL. Thank you very much for the information,
@Grimno see the link below. It appears that you can, unless it isn’t visible or released yet according to Dulfy?

Question for Mai – Talk to Mai Trin
You can complete this achievement once you have defeated Mai Trin and Horrik in the Aetherblade retreat dungeon. Mai Trin is located in the Fort Marriner cell.
@Caittus 2 weeks? Where did you see that? I saw the entire new living story DLC is going to last all month?
I agree with the above, I mean I know I just started the game, but the DEVs did say that all content would be appropriate for all levels.

Glad I could assist you, believe me I was getting highly frustrated with this as well. At least you can continue the next story line portion and get one step closer to getting your shattered dragon wings chest item,
Okay that sounds good. Picking them off one by one will work well, just when you turn the corner, try to get some of the grenadiers and vets to pull them back to the NPCs right before the bridge. Once you have most of those, run as fast as you can pass the rest and head up to the stairs around the bend. Pull one by one for the remainder there and pull them up the stairs and next to the guards with the giant shields and swords, they help out immensely. If you manage to move all enemies away from the caravan, it will auto complete the mission for you. I was still fighting the vet, and it said I got the achievement and I was like, wow! Finally! LoL.
Yep same thing happened to me. I had to replay from the checkpoint several times before I was even remotely successful. It can be done, you just need a ton of patience. Believe me, if it was a group one, I would assist you in a heart beat sir. Your best course of action is to slowly bring one at a time back, so you don’t get overwhelmed. The only issue you can encounter with this method is they tend to run back if you don’t stay close enough. You need to ensure you are still hitting them otherwise they run back and any damage you did, they get full health again!
I was able to complete the solo Ceremony and Acrimony instance with a low level character (lvl 7); however, it was very difficult as I just started the game not even a week ago for the first time. The veterans nearly killed me each time and I had to lure them back and have assistance from the NPCs. I finally managed to run past most of them and had one follow me at a time, picking them off. No easy task, so I would say that the instance should scale with your current character otherwise, all new content that ANet releases seems that newbies will get frustrated with and essentially not play as much as the developers want them to. Thoughts on this?

Can the beginning story-line still be completed that they opened yesterday – Ceremony and Acrimony? Also, if so, I was having trouble with this one, just started the game and at around lvl 7 from last night. I know it scales you to 80, but I don’t think I have the best gear or skills currently to achieve this story. Suggestions since it is a single player instance? Thanks.
So, this content cannot be completed by someone that just joined the game that say is like lvl 5 or so? That doesn’t seem to be fair if that is the case.
