I think this game has tons of time sinks which many people can interpret as a grind. That being said, I do not have nearly as much fun as GW1 and am waiting for another game to take my interest away.

Add Underworld and Fissure of Woe as their own dungeons

All shadow weapons skins from GW1 will be in Fissure (with new weapons skins like pistol, rifle etc.. added). The shadow weapons will be rare drops and trad-able.

A whole set of chaos skins will be added to fissure as well (BOTH weapons and armor). The chaos skins will be the collectible weapon/armor. The chaos armor will glow in areas like a chaos axe (kind of like the fire in areas of the char dungeon armor).

Storm and ghost skins added to underworld.
Storm is the collectible weapon/armor and ghost is rare drop for weapons.

The Ascalon Pants will be your best bet atm. They are surprisingly versatile (at least for males).

I found a nice combo with the vigil shirt that shows off tattoos – my norn ele is ready to hit the clubs

I’ve waited over 7 months and the only thing that has really improved are bugs, which were just replaced with new ones. The game constantly introduces grind after grind with each passing month and only seems to be getting worse. How am I suppose to act like the game is headed in the right direction? I’m sorry, but things are only getting worse.

I could see spikes in PVP but I don’t really care for PVP much as it’s not as fun as GW1’s PVP

The reason for PVE was just stupid
With the long cool downs of all quickness skills you are not some unbelievable bad*** constantly pwning something at 2×. The game’s challenge has many variables and attacking 2x fast for a short time (I don’t consider 2x Time Warp to be game breaking in PVE and that’s the longest at 10 seconds) hardly makes a dent in content that players deem as very hard. I would like to know what ‘trivial’ content got an dev so but hurt that they had to nerf it.

Agree with op – most days I just farm the daily and log out. Either nothing is ‘Oooooh Ahhhh’ at 80, dungeons are meh or drops are ridiculously stingy so regular farming (which I would like to do if the rewards were worth a kitten doesn’t seem appealing at all.

They could have brought more stuff that was awesome in GW1 to keep it interesting tbh. i was constantly entertained in the precursor for about 3 years and was sad to see that game fizzle out.

As of right now they are refusing to even return the Fine Transmutation Stone(s) we used on these items even though we paid real money for them.
The excuse they are using is the same old story "we simply do not have the tools to provide individual items (such as Transmutation Stones or weapon skins) to players at all. "
Maybe they should think about these things before making this kind of change to the game. I submitted a ticket and I’m not going to drop this.

Prior to this stealth deploy I had just purchased a generous amount of gems – if they ever want to see another dime from the people they screwed over they will find a way to make this right.

I logged into my toon to “WTF happened to my rifle?!?!?” “WTF happened to my bow/mace/sword/focus?!?!” Read the notes and was outraged how this ‘intended’ look was not made apparent to people and then stealth deployed. People should be compensated in some way for their (fine) transmutation stones and the inconvenience of questing and getting a karma skin they had no idea was a design flaw. Had no idea this was also a tier 3 skin – still don’t where you would buy it. All i know until this evening was the skins i like on my toons were in charr lands. The point is through no fault of our own we now have horrible skins and wasted fine transmutation stones that were purchased in the store.

You get 4.5k from the daily reward now – more with a booster, that is probably enough to cover all the karma you spent on those low level weapons.

The low level transmutation stones are a joke to get also, you get 3 per city completion.

In short: QQ more.

Not quite getting it Griz – we purchased and transmuted weapons and the completely changed the skins to ugly weapons we did not originally desire nor wish to go farm more karma for. Everyone know about dailies and boosters

thanks Khis – saw that after reading a bit further myself – so furious about this!!! I can’t believe you did this to people ANET. I could see making any karma item from patch on the skin you ‘intended’ but how the hell were we supposed to know they were not as designed? refund my transmutation stones and karma or set the items for people who already got them prior to patch with the skin they expected when they previewed and then purchased them. We should not be inconvenienced for your screw up.

Weapons purchased with karma from vendors in Fireheart Rise, Iron Marches, and Fields of Ruin now have their intended skins instead of tier 3 cultural skins.

Wow…..had i known they were not as intended i wouldn’t have wasted the karma on them and i sure wouldn’t have wasted the transmutation stones to keep the skin while leveling up – this is a total d bag move! You should return the look to the people who got them prior to update or you should refund all their transmutation stones so they can find more suitable skins than this crap. what ugly weapons and what a rude awakening to see that kitten

All my toons that have gearshot pistols/rifles/bows etc have horrible skins now – I used many transmutation stone to keep that look – please fix it

The word “Rare” means RARE! And I do appreciate the low % chance or the long, tedious grinding. The items will neither be considered as “rare” nor “legendary” if majority of players could obtain the items easy and quick. This will raise the value of the any accounts that could obtain Legendary items.

I am casual player. I have family, working full time. I admired any player had legendary or rare weapons that I ran across. I recently just finished the Jormag’s Breath sword for my thief and I am proudly using it. If the Jormag’s Breath is easy to obtain, it would be boring to even put it on any character. Again, this was my choice to grind mats for the sword.
I bought gems to upgrade bank slots, inventory. It was my choice!

Just like in real life, it is your choice to save all the money toward expensive car such as BMW, Mecerdes, Lexus, et.c or you just want something with an engine and 4 wheels to carry you to work and back home.

At the end, it is you who chose your own destination. It’s your choice!

i was trying to explain aspects i missed from guild wars 1 and things im unhappy about in guild wars 2. FanBoys here are taking it out of context and flaming.

The more I play this game the more I agree with you Dro. For 5 years of development and all the hoopla the limited weapon/skill and no multi-class thing was just dev lazy and there were other things that i do miss from GW1. Never had to pay to warp and fix armor in GW1 but apparently since this new version is about having fun I guess it’s fun to do those things……

I have been having so much fun with PVE I’ve not done WvW yet. I decided why not let’s give it a shot today. HATED IT WITH A PASSION. No balance whatsoever. constant bullkitten with one color monopoly. What is the point of doing this kitten part of the game seriously?
