So do you think you get more from slotting SoH for the +25% speed or using that slot for a different utility and using rune of the centaur (and warhorn) for near 100% swiftness uptime?
I enjoy having my +25% speed. I also use a GS as my second weapon, but that’s more for escape and playing around. Using Signet of Stone for some defense, Quickening Zephyr for burst, and Signet of the Hunt along with 5 points in beastmastery giving you quickness on pet swap, you’ll notice that you can kill most classes with short bow or long bow…if that’s your thing.
As a ranger, you’d expect me to be afraid of a 1v1. I, however, enjoy a good fight even if I’m going to lose. People complain about how some classes are more overpowered than others, but really it’s just because they suck.
I’ve been murdered by thieves, warriors, eles, etc. But it gives me a chance to figure out how to counter them. I’ve actually grown to enjoy a 1v1 vs a thief because most of the time now, I come out victorious or the thief stealths and runs away or waits for backup.
I don’t see the reason to be afraid and run. It’s a couple silver to repair what you just damaged. You’ll be making that back 100 fold in WvW, so all it really costs you is time…and time well spent it was.
What use would Mesmers be if they didn’t have their portal?
Anet even said in their latest patch that they wanted mesmers to have some sort of power. They reduced the amount of people who can go through each portal which shows they have no intentions of removing portal.
They may reduce the amount of people being portalled even more, but that just means you need more mesmers and more coordination.
Commander Niniyl here from GoM. I was in EB most of the night. Overall, my own server surprised me. We maintained numbers, we defended stuff, and generally we played better than we have in weeks. It is quite encouraging to see us learning. Lets keep it up!
It has been a fun battle. We didn’t see too much of AR, but we preferred it that way. We even launched several attacks to distract NSP so AR could regain its foothold, because we really needed NSP not to give us their undivided attention.
Wow did the reset suck. Not only we did lose all the defensive siege on our keep (and we had a ton because we knew NSP would come for us eventually). But then apparently NSP downloaded the patch way faster, because they had 40 people knocking down our doors before most of us had logged back in. Does the [OS] guild have some magic patch downloading voodoo I should know about? It looks like NSP flattened AR the same way too, (based solely on watching the map, I was not there). I don’t blame NSP for taking advantage of the situation, but stuff like this should not happen.
I fully expect us to end up in third, but if we keep fighting like this, GoM has a lot to be proud of.
