That being said, I’ve seen engineers do some crazy awesome things, so you likely don’t need to make another character.
I vote for mini-lupicae. I just want to read the combat log, “Mini Lupicus critically hits you for 100 using mucus overload!”
But really, if they would change the spawn times so that the burrows spawned immediately after the previous burrow was killed or at the current timing if that burrow is still up, I think that would make the encounter more interesting. You might actually have to, you know, kill some gravelings :P
Laulajatar, You could never hate the bringer of cake. It must be a lie I say! I won’t believe that you hate me!

So, I met someone today who didn’t know what poutine was and my heart went out to them due to their of profound ignorance of such a heavenly creation. Surely ignorance is not bliss in this case!
It’s almost 12:00 and I didn’t really have dinner. This thread isn’t fair :O
On the topic of microwaves, I believe you can make mini cakes as well!

In addition to the fine points mentioned above by Jerus I would add that an otherwise full glass PS warrior (or any warrior for that matter) is much more forgiving than a glass elementalist and has a more reliable way to stack might. Since you don’t know the skill level of the other players in a random pug group, a warrior may be easier to stack might on and also to stay alive with than a glass elementalist.
I will generally start a run as a glass warrior and I will take careful note of the might the party is generating on the first boss. If we lack might for that fight then I generally switch to PS.
I’m honestly amazed.
I won’t say the previous system was fantastic, but to strip out the ability to pick the exact amount of gems you wanted, the single best quality that system had going for it, is complete and total failure. How anyone could possibly consider the current system as an update when the single most important piece of what we used to have is missing will remain entirely beyond my comprehension.
This is a nothing short of a complete reduction in the functionality of the gold -> gem -> gold currency exchange and is extremely dissapointing.
Sooooo loooooong (but great). I’ve been running a very, very similar setup and love every second of it.
I have to admit tho, I run sword/pistol and have come to rely on it. Do you ever take a different offhand?
I main a ranger and have recently picked up the 1500 range longbow trait to try it out. One thing I have noticed is that the harpies in this fractal almost always (70-80%) become invulnerable when I attack outside of 1200 range. I’ve also read that enemies will become invulnerable if they are unable to attack you. This seems self-defeating…
I picked up the trait line to specifically attack enemies from farther away and because these enemies do not move from their platforms they cannot attack me (with their regular attacks) when I am outside of 1200 range. I now cannot attack them because the game states they should be invulnerable if they cannot attack me. FUTHERMORE if I close distance, even to mele range, invulnerable often STILL affects my attacks.
I do not understand why this is so in the uncategorized fractal when, in for instance the solid ocean fractal, this has never once happened when I attack from max range.
I would think that extending the range of a weapon by +300 would mean we are supposed to be able to attack out to 1500 range in normal play.
