I understand that there are issues that some people will find unappealing. However, nothing is perfect. For instance, I think it’d be great if a lot of these temporary content updates would be permanent. I also did take a break from the game and it allowed me to “recharge”, so to speak.
I just wanted to voice my satisfaction for the game due to things like continued support in WvW, the currency wallet, being able to salvage ectos, world bosses dropping rare loot, world bosses becoming more challenging, crafting expansion, achievement rewards, the magic find change, UI polishing and other small touches that make GW2 shine a lot brighter than it did at launch.
…absolutely fantastic. The amount of dedication, passion and soul put into this game is without parallel to anything available in the industry right now. ArenaNet is still pumping out updates, listening to community feedback and making lots of positive changes that have really done a great job in improving the game.
Even the gem store has managed to stay consumer friendly and unimposing. If mistakes are made, the staff have no quarrel rectifying it in quick order. Just wanted to say how pleased I am with the direction Guild Wars 2 continues to take. Keep up the amazing work.
Under what category should the ticket be submitted to? I’d just like to go over my purchase history to double check everything.
I’m not getting any new mails. If mail queues up when it’s full, then I probably didn’t lose anything and just mis-clicked, thinking I bought something.
However, is it possible to talk with someone about getting a purchase list that goes further back than the store shows, for peace of mind?
I really need help guys, and I don’t know how to go about trying to get some. Here’s the full story:
I decided to spend a little gold on the gem store and get some rare dyes. Turns out some of them were selling pretty well in the trading post, so I bought a few packs, sold a few rares, and then kept some that I really liked for my main.
And then I decided, you know what? I’m going to go crazy and spend all my gold finally getting the things I had my eye on for a while. And because it was such a big commitment I plowed ahead and just started buying things from the gem store.
And I didn’t take into account THE MAIL LETTER LIMIT.
I don’t even know exactly what I’m missing. My gem purchase history doesn’t go past everything I purchased. I know I’m missing a few additional dye packs and aviator sunglasses at the very least.
I don’t know what to do, or which category to put my support ticket into. Is there any chance of getting help? I’m really stressed out right now. Not because I spent all my gold, I WANTED to do that, but because I didn’t get everything I purchased.
I’m at my wit’s end.
What if people who originate on the given server are given priority over those guesting? I’d settle for that too.
With the dragon events giving rare drops every time a chest spawns, overflow servers are kicking in and destroying the ability for server residents to actually do the events that tick down on their own personal timers. This is because the guesting system is being abused and people keep jumping around to the right server in an attempt to get the loot.
Instead of playing this little meta game that has sprung up I recommend forcing people who guest to another server to STAY in that server for 24 hours, with no option to go back to the origin server until that time has passed.
This would allow the system to be used for its intended purpose: playing with friends on other worlds without the exploit of using it for loot chests.
“Humans love lamenting the disappearance of their Gods. The way I see it, if they ever stopped moping maybe they’d learn how to build something better than a trebuchet.”
“The Asurans believe in the Eternal Alchemy. I believe in Charr Ingenuity.”
“I fight tooth and claw so the other guy fights hand and knee.”
“A Slyvari kept prattling on about how beautiful nature is, but when I showed him the beauty of a well oiled rifle straight from the forge, the smell of gunpowder in the air, he wilted like a leaf.”
“If a Norn is tugging on your horns, grab their beard, that’ll set ’em straight.”
That’s all I can think of for now.
The mystic forge won’t allow Killstreak boosts or PvP glory boosts to be used. I’m assuming this is a bug since the original post stated any boost is good.
Just a head’s up.
I’d just like to give my two cents on the whole black lion chest drama. I spent 900 gems on 10 keys, and with some of the chests containing additional ones I probably got to okitten-20 chests with no Halloween item.
I only used in-game gold and I was very conservative with what I spent so I’m not frustrated. However, reading how people spent 50+ dollars on keys only to get nothing or 1-2 items makes me sad, and I offer you my condolences.
I think the most upsetting factor in this situation is that people were told the chests would have a chance at holding some holiday goodies and many didn’t. Perhaps if they had just added some very common items people would be a little less angry.
5-10 trick or treat bags in the chests would’ve been nice, or maybe some recipes. A compromise could’ve been made when designing what dropped from these chests.
And as for the skins being rare, I don’t believe a holiday is the time or the place to do such a thing. I hope both the company and player-base learn from this experience and find a comfortable middle ground so both parties are content next time around.

The slotted trait skills that you use in PvE are always missing when you enter the Heart of the Mists and more often than not I forget to re-enable them. So for an example:
In the strength traits if you use berserker’s power and axe mastery in both PvE/PvP entering heart of the mists removes those two traits. If I used two different ones in PvE after putting those in PvP and I re-enter the mists they retain an equipped status.
Kind of annoying, and it certainly seems like a bug.
I understand that you can just waypoint to another area if you get stuck but today it became a lot worse and actually ruined the work I put into downing a giant boss event. The Inquest Golem Mark II, that big thing that shoots electricity and machine gun AoE?
I was melee and it was my first time fighting it. When it collapsed into rubble I got trapped underneath it, and couldn’t get out. The camera filling my monitor with my character’s backside certainly didn’t help. So I waypointed out, negating the silver I earned for gold medaling, and I sprinted back to the boss’s corpse, only to have the chest despawn on me.
Either it disappeared due to the timer being too short or because I waypointed and that somehow made me ineligible.
So what’s up with that? Really soured my mood.
I don’t know if this happens in multiple instances around various maps but I rarely get point capped in sPvP so I don’t know. Anyway I did Battle of Kyhlo and was on the treb hitting people left and right. At the end of the match my score registered as 460+ but my rank was maxed out at 375.
Or can you keep “scoring” points but the end amount is fixed? If this isn’t a bug then I’m sorry.
Just a head’s up either way.
I think this will be beneficial to both people who think there’s no end-game to GW2 and those that love it the way it is. It’ll use mechanics and methods already readily available within GW2 but tweaked and amplified. Now, I don’t know how difficult it would be to pull this off or if it fits within Anet’s content budget, but I wouldn’t mind seeing something like this in a future expansion either.
Make a zone and essentially create an in-world raid that anyone can hop into at any stage for an extended epic feeling and chances at great loot. When Anet said that endgame begins at level 1, I believe them. Failing to move out of AoE and dodge a boss’s registered attacks will be punishable by death and mid battle revives are the norm to ensure group integrity, but what some people crave is a cavalcade of giant bosses launching sweeping attacks and finding shiny loot from their bodies. We have that with events like the Shatterer or Shadow Behemoth but they have really long respawn timers (3 hours) and it leaves the playerbase wanting more.
So in this proposed zone, you’ve got a left/right side versus center scenario. Your “trash pull” will be one event on each side that leads to a boss spawning. Now I’d prefer a giant monster like the previously mentioned beasties but I’m sure everyone would be happy with a difficult champion style mob to kill that takes a little communication and pre-planning to defeat. (Like in WvW, there are strategies and voices amidst the chaos and plans do actually get formed on the fly.) There’s two of these baddies on each side and once both are killed the center of the zone opens up.
Here you’ve got another “trash pull” event and another boss fight ensues. Once that guy’s gone Anet can get creative. Maybe there’s three other beasties protecting the end boss by holding up a barrier. Maybe you have to wait until NPC’s arrive with support before you continue. The sky’s the limit in this regard, as long as it culminates in a final showdown of final showdowns.
Now, people will be getting loot. Awesome. If they do the bosses in this “raid” zone again they’ll either no longer get to click on the chests that spawn or they get greatly diminished rewards until whatever time period has passed that Anet feels comfortable with. It can be account-wide or character based, whatever floats everyone’s boat.
You could even deny entrance to the zone if a character has done everything there until a set period of time. This gives the zone and activity within more weight in people’s minds. People love it when a closed door opens, you know? It breeds excitement.
The more I mull this over, it’s kind of like a pure PvE variant of WvW, but instead of towers and castles, it’s giant bosses. You can work it into the lore of Tyria as well. A great example would be the Charr’s constant battle with the ghosts of Ascalon. They’re always reforming, you could make the excuse that the zone you’re in is so dangerous because the energy and hatred of the dead is much stronger there.
Imagine if more and more of these zones as the game continued popped up, expansion after expansion. You’d end up with a huge collection of large scale epic battles across Tyria to visit.
Long story short: Imagine a zone dedicated to events like the Shatterer, but it wasn’t over in 10 minutes.
What do you guys think about that?

I’m concerned that when the time comes I’ll be at 99% map completion even though my character will have 100%. Ever since I hit 35%+ on one character, the map medal has been showing -1%.
Currently my main is at 45% but the medal is showing 44. Is this a display error, or a bug of some other sort? Anyone else having this issue?

Just wanted to say that my missing items were mailed to me yesterday. I finally got to use my tome and chalice!
Thank you very much.
:)
Yesterday I overheard some in-world dialogue that put a smile on my face because it was well acted and pretty clever. I don’t remember the NPC names but it was in the Fireheart Rise zone (charr 60-70) and the event was to protect them while they fixed some machinery at the bottom of a tarred lake. The gist of the exchange was as follows:
“I don’t think the Flame Legion will like these repairs we just made.”
“I don’t care, the Flame Legion can die in a fire!”
“They might like that.”
What’s some dialogue you came across that was pretty good?

I created a ticket on August 25th about how I decided I wanted to re-create my original character but I left the chalice and tome items in his inventory. I was reassured that I would get my items back. I attempted to submit another ticket on September 9th but an automatic message told me it would be fixed. It’s been past 3 weeks, no resolution at the moment.
Though I saved the mini pet by having him put in a collection tab I’d appreciate the full value of my collector’s edition purchase by getting the tome and chalice.
[Incident: 120825-034027] <- original ticket
[Incident:120909-005728] <- ticket I received an automatic response to.
