Time to update this one!
Still looking and slowly beginning to outfit my other Charracters (hurrhurr!) with appropriate gear. Getting more confident in utilizing my Thief, Elementalist, Mesmer and Guardian.

Still looking!
Made rather messy Ele duo together with my old friend and Ketsurak, the Risen Champ Abomination in Gendarran Fields. My ribs and throat are still sore after all the laughing.

Still on the hunt!
My Elementalist has now reached Lvl.80 and I’m currently practicing skill- and mightstacking rotations.

Update! 27th January: Dungeon-related information:
- All Professions/Classes (except Warrior/main) utilizes Full Exotic Berserker equipment. Warrior utilizes the Ascended version of the mentioned Stat. Knight Armor used as backup for learning new encounters.
- I’m fairly comfortable using my Warrior/Guardian in Dungeons. Mesmer & Thief has only been tried in Open World PvE content.
- Dungeons that I’ve yet to run (Expl.): AC p2, CM All Paths, CoF p3, CoE (ancient runs of the “Submarine”-Path), Arah All Paths.
- Trivia -
- Concerning Dungeons and Professions, I’m eager to learn and do not want to be a burden/to be carried. I’ll of course appreciate any help/advice being given, so I’m not ungrateful, just eager to “handle it on my own/hold my own guard”.
- Other: Duo’d AC Story with my old friend once (heavily outdated).
- Duo’d Arah p2 up to the gates before Lupi (heavily outdated).
- 2014 has been my least active year of playing GW2 due to other obligations.

I’m currently in the process of reviewing and gathering proposals. Please keep in mind that these proposals may enquire me to to do a full evaluation of the recruiting Guild(s) that will last for 1-2 weeks. During this period of time you will still be able to send me proposals either through this forum, or through in-game Whispers/in-game mail.

- The Guild -
Looking for: Charr RP/PvE/PvX/Dungeon
Active players within the Guild: 0 – 30 active members
Roster size: 0 – 90 (Small Guild)
Activity demands: Minimum
Keywords: Charr RP/PvE/PvX/Dungeon/18+/21+/Small Guild
Hey-O! I’m a somewhat freespoken and relaxed player that finds most of my enjoyment in running Dungeons, slaughtering World Bosses or just chatting it up with fellow players, preferably with a rich, dark stout or a small glass of whiskey by my side. Of course, roleplaying is also a fond interest, and just like running Dungeons I’m all for engaging in jolly co-operation. My dungeon experience might be a bit dated since 2014 had other plans for me, but I’m hoping to get rolling once again, at a comfortable pace.
Thus, I’m looking for a Guild that might share such interests.
I’m not interested in any “family”-oriented Guilds as I tend to appreciate the occasional, coarse humour. The same goes for Guilds with daily/weekly in-game activity demands, since such demands create conflicts with my other obligations. I’d also kindly, but promptly ask to not get contacted by any “new player”-Guilds.
I’ve nothing against new players, but I’d much rather prefer a Guild with a comfortable mix of both veteran and new players that drastically might help me to reduce my dependency of the in-game LFG Tool for Dungeons. The Guild I may be looking for is also not looking to expand their userbase beyond a maximum of 70-90 members or less.
So, to sum it all up; Dungeons, laughter, jokes, roleplay and good times!
- Contact -
I accept Whispers when online and will read in-game mail when I’ve the time to do so!
Post your proposal here or send me a PM on these forums if you’ve any questions or feel like you’ve found a match!
If successful your Guild will have one more or your very own, raving, Dungeon-enthustastic, whiskey-sippping Charr that will tell you dry jokes until your ears bleed.
See ya ’round!

Aye, I’ll be playing less GW2.
I’ve recently picked up drawing fantasy/sci-fic/horror/etc etc again after having a year-long “artblock”, which some of us hobby artists can get struck with now and then. Dark Souls 2 PC Edition will also be released the 25th so I’ve already ordered a copy together with the previous titles. I was pleasantly surprised when a few in-game friends mentioned they also shared my interest in the “Souls”-lore/universe so we’ll probably jump over there.
GW2 has been pleasant enough, but these changes are not for me and I’m doubtful that it will make me find “that” Guild which I’ve been searching around for since Dec’ 2012. So all in all, I’m not going to set myself up for more dissapointment, the list of dead/dying/apathic/drama Guilds I’ve cycled through is already quite extensive. Maybe I’ve just been “unlucky”, but I’ll ponder no more on it since it will do me no good.

Why the ’zerky hate?
Whelp, I’m guessing it’s a mix of irrational feelings, half-truths, delusions of grandeur and an unwillingness to pinpoint flaws in one’s personal in-dungeon preformance. Every Class/Profession/Build have “rotten apples” with the same behaviour as rabid, male baboons fighting over a female.
I prefer not to think so much about it, as it’s prone to inflict you with powerful, real life Conditions such as Angst, High Blood Pressure, Depression and more. All stack in intensity. That’s why it’s great to always equip a “Shake It Off” or “Signet Of I Don’t Care” when faced with such mental challenges. Preferably with a Banner of Logic or Banner of Philosophy. For food buffs I suggest Strong Smoked Porter and Spicey Black Pepper Popcorn. Can be replaced with Extra Dark Roast Coffee or Energy Drank for Caffeine stacking, or Strong Smokey Whiskey. Also, don’t forget to use Runes of Common Sense and Sigil of Reasoning for optimal preformance. Optimal Build for Warriors would be: 30 Common Sense/25 in Logic/0 in Ego/0 in Narrow-minded/15 in Philosophy. That’s how you best migitate damage from Champion/Elite/Veteran Haters.

The last time I remember someone commented on a Charr’s “aroma” they had to peel themself off a wall.

CoF p1 “ordinary”-run.
Three Charr Warriors walks into CoF p1, two with 13-16k AP and 2-3 Legendaries, one with a Twilight and a glass of whiskey. Twilight Charr turns to the Charrbros before the rolling boulders instance and ask; “Okay, who wanna smash the gate?”. The Charrbros looks confused at eachother before stating; “We’ve never done the gate/don’t know how to do the gate”.
Much whiskey disappeared that night.

Education would be the cure for not knowing how to do X.
Of course, there’s other factors at work here then mere knowledge. Communication, possible language barriers (EU player here!) etc etc etc. It’s not too common, but sometimes I’ve spotted new players (max. 2-4) triggering either Jormag or Shatterer, possibly thinking they can beat X World Bosses with those numbers. The result is always failure, and usually when Y Commander shows up with his/her train the timer is too far gone and the name-calling begins.
I’d say that calling someone an Y can never be justified on those conditions, but I can understand some players frustration if they’ve little time to play and really want to do X World Boss, only to find a few new players “messing around” and have quite successfully doomed any chances of making the event succeed. Of course, this is just a game, but when people get/are stressed/pressured/cornered they sometimes do irrational things.

Who waters the plants around the Black Citadel? Obviously, everyone.

Dungeon-wise, I’ve noticed a larger amount of players joining with Y, Z, W or U Builds when I put up an LFG Description for X Build. Before it wasn’t so bad, but nowadays I usually have to kick a fair amount of players before I find the ones that actually read my LFG Description and showed up with X Build. Of course, it doesn’t really help that some of the above mentioned players join in with no other purpose then to spew malicious bile about different playstyles. Unneccessary and utterly childish, I’d say.
Of course, I could join a guild. But after being a member in 10-15 PvE/PvX/Dungeon guilds that either have been “dead”, have had a large amount of apathic players, or failed to deliver their promises I don’t feel particulary tempted to go for another round of that.

I doubt it’s going to be too much of a “nerf”, as it would severely dent some large parts the playerbase.
In the speculation that it should be removed completely, players will receive a “Stat-change” just like what happened to ye old MF gear. However, this speculation will also make it rain sour lemons from the sky. Some players may adjust themselves to the new meta, others will say; “Thanks for the ride, but I’m getting off here”. The latter being a rather sour lemon to taste as it would indirectly alienate a large portion of players from the game itself.
I’m all for that some adjustments are made, and that should be all.
Any other suggestions, such as removing “Crit-ability” on Dungeon Bosses are too extreme, and seem more like a malicious suggestion with a toxic “payload”. As it is now, yes, every player can equip themselves in full ‘zerky gear, but it takes a little bit more then that to be successful when it comes to PvE/Dungeons. Otherwise, the term “floorzerker” wouldn’t exist, as it describes a part of the playerbase that runs Precison/Crit Dmg, but have yet to find the evade/block-buttons/skills.
Finally, any major changes that indirectly prolongs dungeon runs (let’s make it extreme, say 20-30min longer) will do Anet more harm then good, as a lot of players have jobs, studies or school/homework to concentrate on. This would in that case affect those players with precious little free time, which could make it rather difficult to find a party for X dungeon path during the work week. Thus it would again, indirectly alienate another portion of the playerbase.
Anyway, everything in this post is nothing but pure speculations and should be treated as such. None of them are more “likely” to happen then the other, but if they should come to be true one simply has to adapt and move on. Either follow the new meta or find a game that brings you more enjoyment then Guild Wars 2. All in all, time will tell.

There’s very little to do then to open the dungeon yourself and be ready to take screenshots in case of things turning bad. That plus report/block, as some earlier posters have mentioned.
While it’s time-consuming, the best thing to do is to weed out the “rotten apples” before you start a dungeon. For ex. you asked for “English ONLY”, but it seems like no one is responding or understanding your instructions? Kick. You’ve asked for gearcheck and X party members either refuse or ignore to link their gear? Kick. You’ve stated that you want to “melee boss” @ X dungeon path. Someone is ranging? Warn them, then if proven uneffective, kick. The LFG could be viewed as your “demand list”. If players don’t met your “demands” then they have no business to be in your party. It may sound harsh, blunt and perhaps even rude, but it’s your LFG, your demands and perhaps even your dungeon instance, thus making you the “owner” of X dungeon path.
Finding an active, dungeon guild is usually preferable if you run dungeons a lot, but that is not always as easy as it sounds. But generally, don’t expect too much from PuGs.

As some posters have mentioned earlier, the best solution is to create an LFG of your own and specify your situation there. There is also walkthroughs on YT to watch if you want to “get a feel” for what you’ll be facing/doing in X Dungeon Path.
Personally, I do my best to help any “green apples” when I’ve the time, but if my advice is ignored and there’s a language barrier there isn’t really much I can do to help.
