It really seems as though ANet has done everything they can to make sure people can’t play with who they want to play with.
That seems to be an unfair statement.
You have to understand that with a map filled with 75+ people – Each player has a list of friends, party members, server-mates, and guild-mates that either want to get in or the system feels as though they should be together. So out of those 75+ people who gets priority treatment before the map gets capped? You? Why?
Having a queue system alone is not the only fix needed here. I personally don’t want to just sit around waiting on a queue. Would prefer a district system.
D1 – Home server
D2 – Megaserver 1 (map population is XX%)
D3 – Megaserver 2 (map population is XX%)
D4 – Megaserver 3 (map population is XX%)-Idea courtesy of Revler

This idea is one that I had been tossing about with some of my friends as well. More or less the -exact- same thing. I figured I couldn’t have been the only one, and actually hopped on the forums today to post something alone these lines.
The district system of Guild Wars 1 worked amazing. That’s where I was aiming the the idea as well. Basically what you had said.
With either % of players, or a color code next to it showing population.
Home/Guested Server being District One.
Megaserver #1
Megaserver #2
So on and so fourth for as many servers as that map currently holds. Let there be the queue system of WvW/Old Overflows.
This would allow all groups involved to enjoy what they enjoy. You want a small population server, not very group oriented? You can have it with your home/small pop server. Want your Roleplaying community? No problem. Pve and farming with zergs on a megaserver? You bet! Guild dominated servers for world events? Sure, why not.
I am glad others on the forums had this similar, if not same exact idea. Not saying I was the first to have it of course, just one of many. Great minds think alike, and this would be a solution for all parties involved to enjoy. It promotes a healthier game, and more choice rather than being forced into a megaserver, with no other option other than to taxi, or relog.
I use the Female #5. Always been a fan of the local cacti, and to see a Sylvari with the quills and thorns of a cactus, I thought it was pretty sweet. Loved it since beta, and will most likely never change the way her face looks.
Kudos to the designers.
I fully agree with the idea of a sniper kit. When I first saw the engineer class. The monocles, the rifles. I expected them to have a long ranged weapon. I feel as unless traited for longer range. The rifle lacks. Our grenades still throw farther untraited. I expected their range on the rifle to equal that of the ranger, if not surpass it. Though even melee classes, such as the warrior, and guardian, have longer ranged weapons than Engineers.
Point being. I loved the rifle of the Warrior. It feels like a rifle. It works. The rifle on the engineer, feels as if it belongs on the warrior. Engineers to me, have -so- much potential. But I feel as if they are the shortest ranged ‘ranged’ class in the game. Our kits outdo our three weapons. (Four combos.)
The commando videos that were inspired along the engineer, while clearly would be an overpowered class, seem to fit the idea I had more of them. I see engineers. I think turrets. Bombs, and sharpshooters. Rifles, even if not a sniper. But the shotgun has left me disappointed. Yes, it’s fun for a utility weapon, and I understand the engi uses kits. But it feels like we are some what forced to, in certain cases. (And while some may disagree with my ideas of the shotgun. That’s fine. It’s simply my take.)
TL:DR… Engineers need a long ranged weapon, aside from grenades. Sniper fits that role with them, on both mechanic, and aesthetics. This idea is gold!

I agree with this. I enjoy far too many ways to play my classes, depending on instances, world pve, or WvW, and with the current way, I feel as if I would spend a fortune to do such.
Lets say that there is a sixth elder dragon. Lets also say that this dragon is plant based. Given that, and the fact that in GW1, across several areas, there are plant-like beings, that fake sentience, as well as this being told in Gw2. I.E. The first contact with Asura and Sylvari, explaining that the Asura thought Sylvari were one of these, sentient mimicking plant-creatures.
Given that. Isn’t it more likely that these non sentient plant creatures are minions of a “Sixth. Plant Elder Dragon” rather than the pale tree? Of course, this is all speculation as well, but I felt it should be brought up.
Seems to me that what ever the Pale Tree is, is unrelated to the Dragons, save for the fact that nature wanted to fight back. Tyria’s White Blood Cells, so to speak.
Just my theory.
Greatsword F1 skill, “Arcing Slice”, when beyond one bar of adrenalin changes text. With no adren, it is correct stating. “Strike your foe with an uppercut and gain fury.” After one bar of adren, it changes to. “Strike your foe with an uppercut and gain might.” while still giving only fury. Simply a bugged text update depending on stages of adren.
Fair enough, just was something that I wondered about. Thanks.
I have looked into what I was able to find of the Sylvari biology. They are plants, golden sap in the place of blood. No pulse/blood pressure. Can still bleed. Can get tipsy, even drunk on alcohol. Yet the one thing that I questioned was illness. There are diseases that are passed from plant to plant. As there are kinds passed from humans, animals, etc.
The question being, can a Sylvari catch say, the Flu? If so, is it the same flu as the humans, or plant based? Do they have an immune system?
There was a Heart in the Bloodtide coast that had to do with some plague harming the Quaggan, it got me wondering of what kind of resistances to illness Sylvari had, as they have no white blood cells. (To my knowledge) As they have no blood, only golden sap.
I remember reading somewhere that their names could also be inspired by what they saw in their dream, though can’t remember where I saw this. As for last names/titles/etc. It’s possible that a Sylvari that spends it’s time around other races may end up earning a last name/title from the other races/friends. Such as the second in command of the vigil. Being “of the Wyld”. My own Sylvari has a “last name” inspired by a single moment in her dream, but didn’t take it on till spending time with more humans and other races. I simply assume Sylvari around other races would want a second name for themselves, while as ones who stay by other Sylvari may not take one on. My two cents. Anyhow, too late to change my character’s name to add “of the” or “the” into it.
So I guess the only stat’s you will want as a pet necro are: tough/vit
Only stats, no. You will still want power/condition damage depending on wep/play style. If you want to go all power for a Minion Master, that’s all you. Mine is set up to be survivable for pvp. As most theives wont think a necro has 25k+ health.
I personally enjoy the tanky play style I am using, but everyone is different, play how you enjoy playing. That’s the biggest thing in Gw2.
I love running around with my Tanky Minion Master build. It makes me sad to see so many people saying Conditionmaster is the only viable build. Fools! Fools I say! The class has been down right my favorite, more so with this build. Been tweeked a bit since BWE 1. But it is still just as awesome as ever. Can’t go wrong with an undying tank.

Hope to see others branch away from the “Viable” one trick pony build.
Syriac, I am currently running a very tanky build myself on my necromancer. It has served me well so far. Main stats on gear/gems/runes etc I grab are Toughness/Vit. But Condition damage and healing power don’t hurt either.

This is what I have been running. Not the most “Damage” build. Though I have done fairly well in pve and pvp with this build. Most people seem to only think Necromancers are condition dps. Even people claiming that condition master is the only “Viable” build. Kind of sad, really. I do hope you enjoy the MM necro, wish you luck.
