Well, since the revenant is a new addition that fills in the third heavy armor class, maybe they may introduce a new weapon type to even out the limited weapons available to certain classes like Eles, who can only wield daggers, foci, scepters, and staffs. Maybe have a spell book or tome that they could read and cast from? And yes, I realize that attunements provide the additional skills where additional weapons may not be needed.

If not, then any other weapon available could be used but I could definitely see the introduction of swords or bows for Eles.

I can see where you are going with this question but I don’t see why they would stop making changes to the living world. It’s a huge part of the main game.

I actually can’t agree that it’s not possible. Yes, one of the best choices for a new playable race would be the Tengu. They have knowledge of the Elder Dragons, and they are a unified race which happen to be secretive. What I see though is that there is an area on the map that between Caledon Forest and Lions Arch that is blocked off where it seems the Tengu may reside. To me it seems very possible that Anet may add this race as playable in the future but for right now and HoT coming out, it’s not going to be now. And yes, there is quite a bit of work to introduce a new race but it’s doable.

Ele -> BattleMage (using swords) or Magical Archer (Bow)
Guardian -> Smiter (Holy Warrior) Having power/blessings from the different gods or maybe even return of Paragon.

Pretty sure you won’t be able to change your race. Your own living story works off of that. Just create a new character with the race you want.

just got the same issue. Some update was done and now I can’t get in.
