Well, considering a “druid” is just a prancing, limp wristed gardener with a bag of fairy dust, you should have seen this coming.

Why can't rangers use pistols and rifles?

Would it really make a difference? The development team would just figure out a way to make them totally useless.

Personally, I believe we’re about to receive massive buffs across the board. And knowing arenanet, we might possibly be launched into op territory.

In the history of the team designing this aspect of the game, what has led you to believe they are anything short of laughably incompetent, and given that, what would make you believe it were even possible for them to do anything right this time around?

Good job guys, nice to rally the troops to show our desire for an improved class.

Good job, indeed.

I look forward to yet another series of developer posts in which they tell us “rangers are in a good place,” refuse to admit how badly they have failed with this class, ignore or delete any customer commentary on specific issues which embarrass the development team, promise “great things,” and deliver nerfs.

If you want enjoyable and/or competitive play as a ranger archetype, the only option is to play another game. The class will never be fixed because this game’s vendor honestly believes the class to not be weak or broken. Complaining to the vendor here is like trying to argue with someone in the middle of a schizophrenic episode. It doesn’t matter how constructively, patiently, or logically the issues are presented, the vendor is too disassociated from reality for any of it to compute.

See below for the vendor’s opinion on the ranger class.

Leveling via crafting.

I started leveling an alternate character today and decided to do it via crafting, however I do not seem to be gaining levels as I expected. I have leveled three professions from 0-400 and my character has only advanced from level 3 to level 27. All of my searches return results which emphatically state that going from 0-400 in any craft will always yield 10 character levels. That does not appear to be true.

Has something changed recently affecting character experience gained by crafting?

Edit: Now I have completed 5 crafting skills from 0-400 and barely hit level 41. This seems wrong.
