We know the preview weekends start the 11th and 18th but what time will we be able to log in and start playing?
Will the times be PST?
Thanks
There’s not much they can do if there was a power outage. It’s not the end of the world and I’m sure everyone there is working their hardest to get the release out as quickly as possible
I deleted the Guild Wars2 folder as the user above said and it worked. I had my doubts and had to alter my mac settings to show hidden files and folders to get to the library folder
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
killall Finder
Once i’d done that and reloaded the game I then turned hidden files off
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE
killall Finder
So, thanks for that post, it worked for me and I can get back to playing GW2 on my MacBook Pro
I too am getting this. I thought it was just my mac. No answer yet?
Hi Guys,
I’ve got four level 80s, Guardian, Mesmer, Thief and Ranger but unfortunately my guild has pretty much disintegrated so I’m left with some pretty high level alts but running solo.
If anyone needs any of these characters then please give me a shout. My Guardian is my most active but the Mesmer is such a cool alt to play.
It’s been a while since I did a dungeon run so, if you need any of these, give me a shout, but please be a bit patient.
Thanks for your time

I’ve just updated my MacBook to OSX Mavericks and now GW2 won’t run on my MacBook. It works ok on my PC but just crashes on my MacBook. I can’t log into any of my accounts.
Is anyone else having the same issue?
After every update, not the fortnightly Tuesday update, but all the others, I get a connection error and have to keep retrying until eventually I get in on my Windows 7 PC.
Is anyone else having the same constant issue?
Have a look at http://www.tridef.com/
I’ve installed in on my PC. I’ve got an AMD HD7850 that supports 3d but I can’t get it to work with the stereoscopic button.
However, the tridef software gives me true 3d. There’s a choice of settings from the old red/blue through to side-by-side.
I tried it on a friend’s 3d projector and it is amazing.
It’s $50 with a 50% discount for AMD graphics card users.
I’ve only downloaded the trial version to see if it works. It does and now I want a 3d TV.
Give it a go, I think you’ll be impressed

Thanks for this, I wasn’t aware of the tridef software.
I’ve been reading up on playing Guild Wars 2 in 3D.
Everyone seems to be saying it’s possible with the right NVidia card but not with the AMD.
My AMD graphics card (HD7850 2GB) is capable of 3D output – I’ve tried with a 3D Blu-ray.
Does anyone know if ANet are planning on introducing 3D support for the AMD graphics cards?
Does anyone know if ArenaNet and Guild Wars 2 are going to be at Eurogamer this September?
How about joining our guild, Farm for the win. We’re in the UK and on Desolation.
We’ve got some really good guys playing the game who’ve been on since GW1 and they really know their way around Tyria.
A few of the guys like doing the dungeon runs but I’m more a wander round and kill stuff sort of player.
We have got some WvW and PvP guys too.
Good luck in Tyria.
I went to re-download the client for the PC – my Mac version worked ok, and the game then started to download the files again without having to uninstall then reinstall.
Once I’d downloaded the new patch everything worked fine.
I’ve been trying for the last hour to log in. The game opens and immediately says connection error retrying.
This has only happened since the latest patch. Is anyone else finding this?
The Molten Pick was very good, I loved the graphics when it was used, having bought the new sickle, I’m very disappointed. Sure, it won’t break, but I was hoping for more when using it.
