yuppers. i have decent connection where i am and it just tries to load untill it auto-kills the load(error code = 7:0:0:986:101). the weirdest thing is i can access everywhere BUT LA

just tried after repairing the game files. no go. gonna open a support ticket.

I am unsure if this goes to the bug forum or not. the issue I am having is whenever I try to load into LA or a character that is in LA it tries to load then kicks me out at the loading screen. I have at least a few characters stuck there now. and I can load into other maps.

Quick question on the above topic… will purchase of the currently 50USD expansion force me to basically have a new account? I.E. all old purchases and items need to be reaquired. or will I be able to link to a current account? if I link to a current account what happens to the “(base game included)” ? thanks!

I feel that 35-40 USD would be a better option, the base game included is a bit of a slap to the face

How are they scamming you? You might consider the price too high, and that is OK you are entitled to your opinion. But this is how markets work, supply and demand. As suppliers they are free to set any price that they feel like and you as consumer are free to decide if it is too low or too high. But it is certainly not a scam, that involves deceit and here there is none.

At this time we are unsure that they will release an upgrade only variant although this is likely, given the general public outcry over this. Currently their options force players who want the expansion to purchase a brand new account(keep in mind that only one GW1-GW2 link can be made in addition to all the hassle of moving things not to mention legendaries.).

Everytime I try to login to my asura guadian in caleon it just loads ’till the connection times out. I can load my other characters just fine. not the asura :\

In GW1 when a new “expansion” was released, 2 new character slots were added, it may happen again.

The only “expansion” released with GW1 was Eye of the North – there were no character slots added.

He was referring to Guild Wars: Factions and Nightfall. While they were standalone games you could link your account to it and it functioned like an expansion.
