All last week I never really bought the whole 2v1 argument that was going down. Granted, I really only played in SBI BL (being on SBI myself), I never saw complete domination of BG. Today however, I braved the 1h+ que to get into EB and saw that most of BG’s territories were being dominated by SBI, and a few with JQ. Looking at the score, I see that SBI is only up on JQ a few hundred points, and both realms are sitting at around 275 currently. Then in chat someone posts “Why are we beating on Blackgate when JQ is only a few hundred points behind”, to which most of the replies came “Blackgate are hackers”, “Blackgate is the stronger server”, “Blackgate had this coming”….this replies kinda cought me off guard.
I don’t really believe that there is a true 2v1 pac between SBI and JQ, but many players seem to have the mentality that Blackgate simply deserves to be crushed….Kinda cheap IMO
Give us a little credit in knowing when something is fishy!! We have been saying that SBI has been after us and not really paying attention to JQ. It also seems like JQ has the same feelings or at the very least taking advantage of it. So I like how someone from SBI chimes in and proves what we have been saying is true. I don’t really care that we get 2v1’d but lets call it for what it really is. Not some random 2v1 that generally happens in WvW. We had more man power last week to deal with it up until Wednesday but certainly not this week.
I am sure most on BG will tell you that we are better than the +65 / +70 points (at the time of writing this post) we have right now but I am not sure what is expected of us when we are outmanned and being beat on by both teams while their front lines are for the most part fight free. Not to mention that we are in 3rd place.
Either way… 2v1 us all you want we wont stop trying but please stop trying to make it out like its not obvious to us that its no ‘typical’ 2v1. As proven by an SBI poster. We may be down but certainly not out.
Just to be clear… I am not whinning about being 2v1’d… I just want to make the clear distinction (as several other players) of what a typical 2v1 is and what has been going on the past week. Please read the post from the SBI player again before trying to flame.
hopefully BG strives to pick themselves up before this wk’s match ends or just call it quits asap (i am referring to BLs not EB map, for it’s such a long queue i dont even try no more :P) … so far great battles and great fun from JQ

I don’t think anyone at BG has really changed their attitude. You may be mixing up the different folks from BG who came on here to say what fun this week has been with the ones who were trash talking at the beginning. Please don’t combine the two. The majority, like myself, will tell you this has been an excellent week of fighting.

I think you are not understanding the 2v1 being discussed. Just based off of your post. Fighting on multiple fronts is good for the 2 other servers not fighting each other but not the one being double teamed. I just wanted to clear up your comments because in the cases most have talked about it has been JQ and SBI fighting against BG only and not each other. It is pretty intense to fight on two fronts, but also stops you from really making any headway. Just wanted to make that distinction.
I don’t think everyone from BG is saying there is an alliance “contract” in place with SBI… It is just pretty apparant to BG how JQ doesn’t go after SBI at all when BG is on a map. You do not have to have an “alliance” to have some sort of understanding of who you are going to attack and who you are not going to attack. We are not in 1st place and haven’t been since Wednesday late night / early morning. So please do not say it is because you want to attack the 1st place team. Either way I know some folks are going a bit overboard with it but others are just stating an observation which for all intents and purposes are pretty on par (sans “alliance” of course). Who knows why it has happened this way… Maybe JQ’s favorite color is Red so they prefer to attack Red.
I spent all night on BG Borderlands last night where JQ continually pestered us on the west side and they maybe went as far as getting Victors in the South. So we kept getting attacked at Longview and SBI kept hitting Cliffside and Garrison. It seemed as the South had a DMZ in the middle since they were continuously attacking us on both sides.
Again, just backing up some observations from some others and certainly not complaining. We handled the 2v1 quite well for awhile but SBI’s number during those hours were just too great to deal with.
