yeah, its kind of disappointing. We have done all story missions together up to this point. So now we are playing solo through them, grouped but not saying a word to each other while we each do our own story. I am hoping there will be a fix for this.

Yes, we were standing right next to each other. Also, may be worth mentioning I had the bug that skipped my story up to lvl 48. We are both lvl 80 now

I’m not sure which of the following is a result of not being able to group with a friend for my personal story or if this is intentional on the part of ANet.

It seems that since I have entered Straits of Devastation/Malchor’s Leap/Cursed Shore and my friend hit lvl 80 we can no longer group for each other’s personal story. I think the last story mission we were able to do together was Further into Orr.

I’m not sure if it was hitting lvl 80 or those maps or the mission Further into Orr that has caused the issue. I’m not even sure if this is the way it’s supposed to be at some point.

I was hoping that someone could tell me if this is a bug or that’s the way it’s supposed to happen with your personal story.

it does seem that way. I don’t recall seeing anyone who did the mission solo report an issue. It would be interesting to know if anyone who did this solo had the same issue.

Same thing happened to me. Was doing stealing secrets with a friend and I was bumped up to Suspicious Activity and she was able to continue normally to the next mission.

I also wanted to note that she was the one that initiated the mission and I was just joining since we were on the same part of the story. We had done most of the story this way with no issues until this point.

I am having the same issue. I was doing the same story as a friend and now my next story mission is lvl 48 and she progressed to lvl 30 Stealing Secrets.
