Guild Wars 2

every time i have my settings set to auto, the game crashes. when i put it to best performance it runs. im running the game on nvidia gts 450. every since i got this game, its just been problems after problems. i give up i demand my hard earned money back, u can have the game back areanet.

awwkittenthats different to what i had, everytime i opened gw2.exe it downloads 10145ks and closes. sorry it didnt help you out

i had to restart after i deleted the gw2.tmp with 0kbs for the update to download again

hmm ok mine had about 23000 kb, try to delete that and open gw2 again hopefully it takes you to the downloading screen and downloads about 101454kbs and try the steps i gave u again

ok guys i think i fix my problem without areanets help, heres what i did.
i wen to the directory where the game is saved.
you should see a file called Gw2.exe.tmp and Gw2.exe, now delete Gw2.exe and change Gw2.exe.tmp to Gw2.exe. make sure u delete the shorcut of the previous gw2. i restarted my comp and went back to the directory and run the new Gw2.exe as administrator and it worked.
i hope this helps u guys out if not i’l help u out again

areanet should be ashamed of them selves, i know there main priority are the hack accounts but they really should let us know that they are aware of this problem on there site.
i feel sorry for all the people that bought the game and couldn’t install it, unless i got to play the game a couple of days, i cant even imagine how those people feel knowing they bought a game that doesn’t even work.

alot of people have this problem, including me. been figuring it out for 6 hours now and i believe its got something to do with the new update posted yesterday. i already sent a support ticket and will let u know what needs to be done

I’m actually having the same issue after I reformatted my HD and reinstalled Windows. Any time I try to redownload the client I get the same problem.

i still think the problem has something to do with the new update

iv actually opened a ticket, i hope they will get back to me soon. i will let you know what they say.

i installed the game last week, but today when i opened gw2 it downloads only 10145kb of the update, then it stops and closes, many other people have the same problem but dont know the cause. anyone out there with any info on this?
btw, i tried everything from updating software , disabling firewall, norton ect.

i have the same problem, everything was running fine yesterday until i turned my comp on today. i open gw2 then it downloads to 10145kb and then closes. tried disabling firewall and norton ect…
also im running the same amount of processes when the game worked yesterday, nothing has changed on my computer. please help

i also tried disabling windows firewall and Norton antivirus and still doesnt work, it stops at around 10145kb then the download speed starts decreasing and closes. this is wierd because i played it without any probs until today when i turned on mu computer

every time i try to open gw2, it opens the downloading screen, it shows the download and how fast it is download, and then it just closes, i cant open it, it keeps closing. this only started today, please help me
